Ella’s Kitchen Review and Giveaway [CLOSED]
“Our pouches are perfect to pop into a handbag or a day bag and can be fed to your baby warm or cold (warmed by simply standing in hot water). They can also be served straight from the pouch, with just a spoon – no bowl necessary. In this way we think that our baby foods are the most convenient baby foods you can buy (as well as the healthiest!) and can be a perfect complement to your own cooked meals if time or location make these difficult to provide. The re-screwable cap allows for safe use for up to 48 hours if refrigerated or a parti
ally used, freshly opened pouch can be frozen in the freezer and used for up to 3 months. However, never feed your baby previously warmed up food.
In using whole fruits and vegetables instead of concentrates, using ingredients because of their taste and nutritional value rather than because of their price and avoiding adding preservatives or anything artificial, we offer babies pure and simple healthy foods rather than cheap and artificial tasting ones. That’s our choice, and we know it is the choice of the vast majority of parents of young babies.
We looked at what existing baby foods offered, and worked out ways in which we could improve on them in terms of taste, nutrition, fun and ease – while keeping very much to our pure and simple roots. Hence this range offers moms the best of both worlds – pure and simple nutritious food for your babies with homemade tastes and textures, and the convenience of a handy little pouch that makes feeding weaning babies incredibly easy whether at home or out and about.
Our Stage 1 baby food contains JUST organic fruits and vegetables, no fillers, no added salt or sugar, and unlike most baby foods, not even added water which would dilute its food value (if you look closely you’ll see that often up to 40% of many baby foods’ ingredients are actually water).
The fruits and vegetables are pureed until smooth, gently pasteurized and popped into handy, light, re-sealable pouches. They are perfect for Stage 1 weaning or as a snack or base (mixed with a source of protein) for meals for older babies and toddlers.”
My little Ruben just recently turned 4 months, and I was ready for him to get started on solid foods! We did cereal for a few days, but research shows that it’s not necessary to start solely with cereal, so we got started right away with Ella’s Kitchen organic baby food! They are safe for 4+ months (some doctors recommend waiting until 6 months). As soon as I opened the first pouch (peaches and bananas) I wanted a taste! They smelled so yummy. I snuck a taste, and it was delicious! Ruben seemed to enjoy them- it was only his first few times with solid foods though, so he gave a few faces. =) I also gave my older son the organic fruit smoothies- he was in love! I worry so much about him getting enough good fruits and vegetables. I seriously cannot get him to eat fresh fruits. Bananas are the only fruit he will absolutely devour. But, I know that with Ella’s Kitchen Organic smoothie fruits he’s getting the good stuff. I love the idea of feeding my kids organic foods. They are the most important people in my whole world, shouldn’t I give them the best? Ella’s kitchen is a great way to start out feeding your baby, and can continue with the smoothies for older children! All their pouches are resealable, and can be used without a bowl, which is GREAT for busy parents. They can be stored in the fridge for 48 hours, or you can freeze the leftover portions for up to 3 months! Wow! I am in love with Ella’s Kitchen!
