EliteCarSeats.com~More than Just Car Seats…Joovy Ergo Caboose Tandem Double Stroller Review

EliteCarSeats.com not only has a wonderful selection of Car Seats but they also sell Strollers! It’s a fabulous little secret that I just had to let you in on.

Elite Car Seats sent me the Joovy Ergo Caboose Tandem Double Stroller to review. It was very fast and easy to put together, my husband did it in about 15 minutes. Right off, I really like the look of the stroller. All the black just looks crisp and clean. If you have ever had a toddler (2+) who is now a “big kid” and wants everything in their life to reflect this, then you can understand how wonderful it is to have a stroller that has a sitting/standing area on the back. If you don’t then take my word for it, an independent toddler loves feeling like they have graduated from the regular stroller seat to standing/bench seat riding status. With this stroller your younger child sits in the front seat which has a 5 point safety harness. And your toddler (2 yrs+ up to 45 lbs.) can choose to stand on back on the platform, or sit on a bench seat. The basket underneath is awesome. It is very big and can hold a ton of stuff, any parent of multiple children can appreciate that (knowing how much “stuff” a trip out requires). I also love that the front seat can have either a swing away tray, which is perfect for a younger child. Or 2 cup holders, which makes it really easy for a toddler to get in and out on their own. I love that the Canopy extends to the back so not only does the front child have protection from the sun but the child sitting in the back is protected as well. And it is nice and high so if you have a taller toddler (like I do) you don’t have to worry about their head hitting the canopy.

Another way to use the stroller: If you have an infant this stroller comes with a universal car seat attachment system so you can set your infant car seat on the back. I love that it puts your baby up high right by the handles, that gives you easy comfortable access to your infant. And then your toddler can ride in the seat in the front. The thing I love most about this stroller is that it can be used in multiple child age scenarios which I feel gives you more bang for your buck.

The only down side was the front seat is really hard (no padding at all). Which is totally fine if you have a toddler sitting there, my little guy (2 years old) doesn’t mind it. But if you had a younger child who would be reclining and possibly sleeping in it then it would be uncomfortable. But not to worry, you can purchase a Joovy Deluxe Seat Cover to give it the padding it needs for a younger child. The plus side, it adds a splash of color (your choice) to the stroller which is fun. Another great accessory you can purchase is the Joovy Parent Organizer, it gives you a great place to put a water bottle, car keys, cell phone, etc… Overall I was really impressed by this stroller. It is long so maneuvering it can be a little tricky at times, but I have yet to find a tandem double stroller that isn’t. It has a nice smooth ride and adapts well to any age situation. I would definitely recommend this stroller, it is a great choice!
