Olive Juice Clothing Review
Olive Juice is a baby and children’s apparel company that specializes in making classic items that allow a child to enjoy their age in comfort and style.
After looking through Olive Juice’s clothing selection I made a pretty important decision… I need a girl! =) Their little girl clothing is TOO CUTE! Although their boy clothing is nothing to scoff at either. Harrison was sent an ADORABLE sweatshirt: The playtime hoodie. Very cute, and very practical. It’s thin and great for layering, which is nice for our Texas weather. It appears to be great quality, and I’m sure it will last through both of my boys’ wear and tear. I am a sucker for children’s clothing, and I have a feeling Olive Juice is going to be one of my go-to’s for baby clothes. They have so many styles and types of clothing, including children’s shoes!

I have ordered many things with Olive Juice over the years and have been fairly happy with their quality, the styles are cute and the prices very good, especially when you catch their sales. But be careful, if anything goes wrong. I had a surprisingly bad experience with them with their customer service. I ordered a pair of shoes, they made a mistake and sent the infant size instead of Youth. I thought it was my mistake, but checked my receipt and confirmed that I had ordered the youth size. When I called their toll free number, during regular working hours, I got an answering machine of all things. And they never responded to my detailed message. So I sent an e-mail, received a curt reply to send it back via parcel post, when they received it they would credit me for shipping and send out the correct pair. I’ve never had such a poor experience when it was THEIR mistake! A nice apology at the very least, please. I am used to having even small companies ship a replacement out immediately and send a prepaid return label. If there turns out to be a problem, they would just deduct it. So, just be aware. Their clothes are cute I hope they improve their customer service policies.
I too have ordered many things form Olive Juice and I agree- their customer service is one of the worst I’ve ever experienced! After countless e-mails inquiring about shoe sizes- they never responded. I called to complain about the shortalls I bought. Seven buttons (not exaggerating) fell off when my son was wearing them on Christmas day (he spent more time out of them as my mother and I took turns sewing buttons back on). When I called I got an answering machine so I left a message and I’ve never heard back from them. I can’t believe they can even run a business like this!
Completely agree with Michelle and Karen above. I love the clothes – have been ordering from them for four years or so – when they were much smaller. I still order frequently and… for the most part…. clothes arrive as beautiful and as durable as promised by the catalog / web site. When there is a problem, however, it is pretty awful, and… over the years, I have had several. Orders lost – items charged twice – no response from customer service – assurance that my item was on its way, weeks go by, no item, go to reorder / investigate and item is no longer available…. I, too, am shocked at how they run the business despite super cute clothing and, apparently, expansion into larger retailers.
I also experienced very poor customer service with Olive Juice. An item was charged to my credit card without any additional information on when the item will ship. It caused me great anxiety as the original order arrived with one item missing but included a “shipped order invoice” to the customer that erroneously listed the missing item as “shipped” with the parcel that was received. I made a total of 4 inquiries to Olive Juice directly via the customer service email address and via the customer service telephone number that are listed under on their website over a 3-week period (yes, that’s 21 days). Despite the multiple contacts, I received no response whatsoever, not a single response, not even a simple acknowledgment that they received my inquiry. (My telephone calls were made during the regular business hours but went to their voicemail every time.)
The issue is currently being addressed by their customer service as I write this (I requested a refund) – Olive Juice finally returned my call today. But it should be noted that this comes after my 5th inquiry to them where I expressed my intention to pursue a chargeback claim via the credit card company as an alternative to their lack of action to address the matter. I hope the refund will be processed and issued this week. While I love the quality of Olive Juice clothing very much (the style and quality is phenomenal and IMO well worth the money), I am now leaning towards taking my business to other retailers such as J Crew/Crewcuts and Stella McCartney Kids who provide impeccable customer service and who truly value the relationship they build with their customers. It is a shame that Olive Juice does not seem to have an inkling of an idea how important customer service and relationship building have become in our socially networked and digitally linked/searched/and shared economy/ecology of our current world.
