Sweet Sally’s Soaps Review and Giveaway [CLOSED]

I’ve already told you how much I love good soap. I really, really love it!

I was sent a couple bars of Sweet Sally’s Soaps and was very excited to use them! I chose the Charcoal and Tea Tree Handmade Soap & the Coconut Milk Soap.

Charcoal and Tea Tree Handmade Soap-(Ingredients: Saponified Olive, Coconut, Palm, Almond, and Castor Oils, Shea Butter, Calendula Oil, Activated Charcoal, Rhassoul Clay, and Tea Tree Essential Oil.)

“If you are looking for a great facial soap this is it. Activated Charcoal is widely know for its detoxifying qualities. It removes impurities from your skin making this a great soap for acne prone skin, but it does not dry your skin out. It also contains tea tree oil and rhassoul clay both beneficial in the treatment of acne. Last but not least it has calendula oil know for its healing properties.”

I am using this organic soap in place of my face wash. My face always has some kind of blemish, so when I read what this soap could do, I knew it would be perfect for me! I have only been using it for about a week, so I haven’t seen too much of a difference yet, but I am holding out hope Winking smile . I CAN tell you that it removes my make-up like a pro (no mascara left behind), and it doesn’t dry out my skin. I am more of a fruit-scented kind of girl, so I’m not too fond of the smell of this soap, but if it improves my skin then I am a FAN!!

Coconut Milk Handmade Soap (This soap has added shea butter, almond and castor oils and coconut milk)

“My Coconut Milk soap is brand new. This soap is made with coconut milk so you can enjoy the benefits of a milk soap without the use of any animal products. It is amazingly creamy and moisturizing and is coconut scented.”

The Coconut Milk Soap smells so yummy! With winter weather, I need a soap that doesn’t strip the moisture out of my skin. I usually use a body wash with an oil in it, but I don’t need it with this new handmade soap. It lathers nicely and there is no dry, itchy skin after I am done showering! It’s great for natural skin care!

What Is Love?

When you stop and think: What is Love? I am sure we all come up with different definitions depending on our circumstances and experiences. But what about when you ask your children?

Delicious Dinner’s While Dieting, Can it Be True?

The answer is yes! Nutrisystem has great dinner’s, take it from me I have tried almost all of them. I absolutely love the fresh frozen gourmet dinner’s, in fact they are all super yummy.

My favorites from the fresh/frozen gourmet dinner’s are:

Turkey Pepperoni Pizza: It is so good, makes me feel like I’m not dieting. It has the perfect combination of soft and crunchiness in the crust and I just can’t get enough of it.

I also really love the Salisbury Steak with Macaroni & Cheese: This is great comfort food (which is so nice to have while on a diet). The gravy on the steak is delicious and it all makes me feel really full.

My favorite pantry food dinner’s are:

Chili with Beans: It is very filling and a delicious Chili. It even has a little spiciness to it.

Italian Herb Flatbread Pizza: This pizza has a really great flavor, the crust and the sauce are so yummy. Also very filling.

I actually feel like I’m not dieting when I eat these yummy dinner’s (especially the fresh/frozen). That is a huge plus, cause who wants to feel like they are being deprived while on a diet? We didn’t have the chance to see Alpha & Omega in theaters so we were very excited for it to be released onto DVD. When it arrived yesterday we sat down as a family to watch it. It is a great family movie, 3 year old Bug was instantly glued and had many giggles throughout the movie. There is also a lot of funny parts for mom and dad. My hubby and I really enjoyed it as well. I got a kick out of the way they react when they get dropped off in Idaho, LOL! It entertained the whole family, and Bug asked to watch it again this morning when he woke up. We’re getting ready to make a huge move across the country. {Texas to Upstate New York} Luckily, we recently purchased a mini-van to make our trek easier, and now that I have the Dipe n’ Go, we have the perfect diaper changing accessory! VeggieTales Happy Together DVD Review and Giveaway [CLOSED]

We love Veggie Tales on DVD at our house! We discovered these movies a few years ago when we picked one up at a yard sale. It was a purchase WELL WORTH IT (would have been even at full price)! My girls were pretty excited to learn that we had another VeggieTales movie to add to our collection. They wanted to watch the VeggieTales Happy Together DVD right away, so we did, and we all really enjoyed it. It’s a great movie to watch as a family (all of the VeggieTales movies are). I think it’s cute how they take Bible stories and put a twist on them. My girls especially loved the thoughts from the ‘Veggie Kids’ that were voiced by real children. It’s a pretty entertaining part of the DVD Winking smile

With VeggieTales Movies, I don’t have to worry about what my children are being exposed to. The movies teach valuable morals and lessons that I want my children to learn!

I was lucky enough to see this movie in theaters. It was amazing. Such an uplifting story, and I loved every minute of it. This movie is perfect for sitting down and watching together as a family. My Ideal US Family Getaway

I think taking vacations as a family is so important. With life being so crazy busy (at least for us) it is the much needed quality time you get to spend together as a family making memories that will last forever. As a child our parents took us on vacation regularly and I became very fond of our trips and have so many fun memories from them.

That ties into where I think the ideal family vacation destination is: Disneyland! Probably because my parents took us so much (sometimes once a year), and partly because I just love being a child at heart. When we step through the gates of Disneyland (and California Adventures) I immediately feel like a child again. And isn’t that just so much fun?! To feel like a child again, to have no worries and just play! I love it! I love the music, the rides, the shows, just being there!

3 year old Bug has never been, and not from a lack of me wanting to take him, I have been wanting to take him since he was born, LOL. But we wanted to wait until he was old enough to truly experience and enjoy everything. We are planning a trip for Spring Break and I get so excited thinking about taking Bug for the first time. I can’t wait for him to experience this family vacation that I grew to cherish so much as a child.

Let me just tell you why I think Disneyland is such a fun place for a family. They have so many things to do for all ages. My hubby and I enjoy the Tower of Terror in California Adventures, and I know Bug is going just love the Bug World, Toon Town and Fantasy Land. Actually I could go on and on listing the things I know he will love. There are so many, and I love them all! The shows at night are wonderful. The fireworks are so much fun and I can’t wait for Bug to see Tinker bell fly above the castle. Fantasmic is a must see show as well, they started doing it when I was a kid and it is a classic must see show on your Disneyland Vacation. Just thinking about it makes me want to be there now.
