I let them take it in the bath some nights and they think it is the coolest thing ever. Both my girls love books! They love to take a pile of books to bed every night and they will spend a good hour or two reading (or looking at the pictures in the case of my 4 year old). Usually I have to go upstairs and tell them that it’s time to put the books away and actually SLEEP. Now that we have the Mark-My-Time Digital Bookmark & Booklight, I don’t have to worry so much. I give them a set time, and the Bookmarks let them know when reading time is over.

Now that Q is in first grade, we have started getting more serious about reading. If you have kids in school then you know that they generally have an assigned amount of reading time they need to complete each week. Unless you have lucked out then you probably also know that it can sometimes be hard to get them to do it I was thrilled when I came across Mark My Time. I love that he can easily know how long he has been reading and the booklight even shuts of when his reading time is up. It is a great tool for helping your kids to monitor their reading time.

I wanted to get a rug for our family room so I started looking for an Area Rug from Mohawk Home. They have such a wonderful selection of rugs to choose from that it was hard to narrow down my decision. I ultimately decided on the Mohawk Home Kodiak Buckskin 8 ft. by 10 ft. Area Rug in Brown because I knew it would be a perfect match for our home and decor.

Our 4 year old has never just laid on the floor in our family room but since we put this rug there, he will lay on it and watch TV and roll around playing. It is a very plush shag rug that is super comfy. He is really enjoying it, along with the rest of the family. I love that this rug has made it such a cozy place for him and everyone in our family to enjoy

I was so excited to get the Roku 2 HD Streaming Player. We love watching Netflix and I was so excited to have a way to watch on our TV with the Roku Digital Media Streamer. It is really easy to set up and use. It has step by step set up instructions and they are really simple and fast. We stream a great quality video with the Roku 2 HD (this also depends on your internet connection & speed) and really enjoy having the player.

I also love that it is small and doesn’t take up a lot of space in our entertainment stand. The remote is also small which I like. I also appreciate that the remote doesn’t have a lot of buttons, my 4 year can easily use the remote on his own to watch his favorite Netflix shows.

New Year’s Eve Film Review ~ Now in Theaters!

New Year’s Eve celebrates love, hope, forgiveness, second chances and fresh starts, in the intertwining stories told amidst the pulse and promise of New York City on the most dazzling night of the year.

New Year’s Eve is one of the biggest holidays of the year. It is a time to reflect on your year and get you ready for the next year. I think that almost every possible New Year’s Eve scenario happens in this movie. Although the movie was very predictable, my sister and I really liked it.

I can’t even start to name off the cast. Most of Hollywood appears in this movie. I was worried that all of the storylines would get jumbled and be a huge mess. To my surprise, I was able to keep all the storylines straight and it was fun to see how they all connected together. My personal favorite is the storyline involving Ingrid (Michelle Pfeiffer) and Paul (Zac Efron). Ingrid is a sad, depressed secretary who hires Paul, a bike messenger, to help her complete her list of New Year’s resolutions. I am super sad that Smallville series has ended. What will I do?! I guess I will have to start watching from the beginning again with the complete series set. Actually that sounds like a good idea, I’m gonna do that. So since the shows end I have been thinking. Where would it go from here if it were to continue? I would love to see Clark and Lois have babies and start a family. I think it would be fun to see and creates a lot of new possibilities.

This is a must have Xbox 360 Kinect game! If you don’t have a Kinect I recommend getting one just so you can get this game for your kids. My 12 year old and 4 year old have become obsessed with it and just can’t get enough. Even my hubby and I are getting in on the fun. It is such a blast!

My kids love Spongebob and this game really delivers. I love how colorful it is, nice and bright which really makes it fun even to watch the kids play. The kids love that they can choose to be Spongebob or Gary. The kids also love that they can choose to skate or surf. They are having a lot of fun learning how to do cool tricks. It is great that their is a 2 player split screen option so both boys can play at the same time. I think the best part of this game is that there is no controller. You (or your kids) are the controller. Such fun!

It is rated E for everyone so it really is the perfect game for the whole family to enjoy!

My little brother is a fish. He swims everyday and loves being in the water. when I saw the Video Swim Mask on the Think Geek website I knew I had to get it for him. He thought it was so awesome when I gave it to him. He said he had never seen anything like it. He used it in his swimming pool. It was really fun watching him take pictures and video underwater and them putting them on the computer and seeing how they turned out. I love that it comes with the batteries needed to operate it. He likes how easy it is to use. The crosshairs help him to know what will be in the picture and the LED helps him to know which mode (still or video) he is in. But the best part is this under water camera is completely hands free. It’s so cool! He loves it and I highly recommend it as a gift!
