Kiev is the capital of Ukraine, known for its luxury nightclubs, popular bars, and beautiful women. Here are some tips to make your Kiev holiday a lot of fun and safe!
If you are new to Kiev, it’s a good idea to be in the company of local guides to discover the wonderful, active nightlife of the city. A guide will help you get around, understand the difference in cultures, and by all means, keep you safe.
The Nightlife Of Kiev For Travelers:
Never go out with a great deal of cash or with all your credit cards. Just take enough to get you through the evening and only carry a credit card with a lower limit.
Visit The Paradise Cabaret:
Considered the best strip club in Kiev, look up its location on a map and then grab a taxi to get there. If you book your taxi with your mobile app, it will get you past translation issues. Always bring your ID should there be any issues during the night, including the police. Not to feel uneasy, the police in Kiev have changed a great deal over the past year or so. They are more “European” in their conduct than they used to be and very helpful to people. If you need help, do not hesitate to contact them for assistance, most officers speak English and are very friendly.
Keep important information such as your phone, documents, and money on the inside of your coat or jacket. When you arrive at the club, try and stay away from the rather loud, patrons who have already had way too much to drink. Also, due to culture, do not bring up political discussions!
Stay away from aggressive activities such as gambling, cards, and pool for money. Keep in mind, gambling in Kiev is illegal except for the national lottery and betting on sports at certified locations.
You are new to this end of the world, if you want to meet someone, make sure she is not married or has a boyfriend, she’s not earning her living picking up guys, or looking for a sponsor to your country! Many lovely ladies can see you coming a mile away!
If you are paying by credit card, never let your card out of your sight and keep it stowed safely in your jacket or coat. If you are in a cafe or restaurant, ask if they accept your particular credit card first. After checking your bill, ask the waiter to bring the POS terminal to your table or take your card to the terminal, following the waiter. You will have your credit card in your sight at all times so other people will not be able to copy any information from your card.
Keep your drinking down to a minimal level. Ukrainians have a really high tolerance to alcohol and it might be difficult for you to keep up with the pace. Eat food or snacks and drink plenty of water to help you remain sober.
Never leave a drink unattended and never accept a drink from someone you don’t know or just met. Spiking drinks are not uncommon in Kiev and there are any number of drugs or chemicals that might get conveniently dropped into your drink. The outcome could be very dangerous and that alone should speak volumes.
Again, never leave money, your credit card, or wallet unattended. Pay attention to the amount of alcohol you have consumed and understand when it’s time to cut it off. You want to be able to get back to your hotel safely!
Stay positive and pick your new found acquaintances carefully. You will find that you will have a really good time and still stay safe.
Just use common sense like you would anywhere that you are not familiar with. Better yet, travel to Kiev with a friend or two so you can all watch out for each other.
