Play-Doh is so much fun!  Bug really enjoys playing with it.  He spends so much time playing and creating with it.  I love seeing how much he enjoys it and love that it helps him develop his creativity.

We have a couple of Halloween parties coming up that I can’t wait to attend, but our costumes are not quite ready. Ever since Jake and the Never Land Pirates aired on Disney Junior, my little Bug has been hooked.  It quickly became his favorite show.  He loves it!  So when I heard it was coming out on DVD I couldn’t wait to get it for him.  It even includes a music CD, how fun!  Now he can watch his Never Land Pirates anytime and dance to his favorite songs, he is very excited about it all.  I have to admit I also love this adorable show and the song gets stuck in my head especially the chorus “Jake and the Never Land Pirates…”. Another super fun thing about this DVD set is that it comes with a pirate eye patch as well, I know it is full of great things. Boy did Bug flip out with excitement about this.  Yep, he was a pirate for the whole day :)   What a great bonus to a fun DVD! This is a great addition to your child’s DVD collection.

Mechatar Cross Dimensional Robots Review and Giveaway [CLOSED]

C was thrilled when he learned that a Mechatar was on it’s way to our house.  Each day the excitement building.  So of course when it arrived it had to be played with right then! He received Kodar (perfect since Blue is his favorite color). Right off I was impressed by how he could play with it right out of the box. Once we turned it on it connected automatically to the remote.  He had fun playing with his Mechatar Remote Controlled Robot then it was time to connect it to the computer so he could load it with weapons.  It easily connects to the computer through a USB port.  The first time you connect it, it prompts you to download the software that is needed.  Once that is done it took us to Mechatars.com were we created a user account.

He said really liked that there was an tutorial that guided him through the online play, it really helped him a lot.  He likes that he can connect with other Mechatars of his friends and can’t wait for his friends to get one (you must know their ID in order to connect). 

He has been having so much fun playing with his Mechatar both online and off.  When he is online he collects weapons and battles.  He said he is getting pretty good at figuring out what weapons to use at certain times.  He has spent hours on it so I’m sure he has :)   Offline it is fun to see him play and get missions.  The Mechatar talks to him in mission mode and he has a lot of fun playing that.  He likes that each mission he completes gets him badges.  He can’t wait until his friends get Mechatars and then he can battle them offline robot to robot. Even 4 year old Bug is enjoying the offline fun with the Mechatar.

I chose the cute little Orange Bull Ant Scramblebug for my son, and scramble1it is perfect for him! Not only is it adorable, but it is small enough that my son can get on and off it without any problem. I love the 360’ wheels because it is easier for him to maneuver on his own. It’s also low to the ground so my sons feet actual reach the floor. He hasn’t quite figured out how to push himself around yet, but that will come soon enough I am sure. With Fall just around the corner, the cold weather is going to keep us all indoors….but the Scramblebug is the scramble3perfect indoor toddler ride-on toy. mario_rc_cars_yoshi I’ve done it.  I have found the perfect gift for my boys!  The Super Deluxe Mario R/C Cars from Think Geek.  This is not your boring everyday r/c car.  No, not at all.  This is so big!  When the box arrived I didn’t realize what it was because I wasn’t expecting it to be so big.  In there description they say a Chihuahua could ride on it (if Yoshi wasn’t there) and they aren’t exaggerating! It is a great sized R/C Car. The boys were squealing with excitement at the site of it in the box.  They loved how big it is and couldn’t wait to try it out.

It comes with either Mario or Yoshi (your choice) and we chose Yoshi.  I love that it is all assembled and it has a re-chargeable battery.  The coloring is so bright and fun.  The kids found it really easy to control.

My boys love playing Mario Kart on the Wii and they had a blast driving around Yoshi.  My next item of business is to get them a Mario so they will be able to race each other.  It’s great because they are made to not interfere signals when used at the same time.

If you are looking for the perfect gift that will wow your kids this is it.  It has that wow factor and is a blast for the kids (and the adults).  Birthdays, Christmas, just because…they will love it!

    Prince Lionheart PottyPOD Potty Seat Review

    pottypodMy son is 1 1/2 which means pretty soon, I will be gearing up for some toilet training fun. I am a little nervous since I have heard boys are much harder than girls (my girls were a piece of cake!). With my first 2 kids, we simply made the transition straight to the regular toilet….but I am thinking my son will need a little child size potty to help him for the first while.

    I was sent the Prince Lionheart PottyPOD Potty Seat in the green color and I am excited for my son to use it. He was a little leery of it in the beginning, and he still won’t sit on it even for fun. But he is very interested in it, and he gets upset when either of his sisters touch it because he knows that it is his. My plan is to just let him play with it for a while & hopefully in time he will sit on it without being scared. Since we won’t be starting the potty training process until he is at least 2, he has several months to get use to the PottyPOD.

Potty training can definitely get messy (even more so for a little boy) and I want to keep it as clean as possible!! I also love that it has a deflector shield.     Bob the Builder: Super Scrambler DVD Review and Giveaway [CLOSED]

    bob1My son has started becoming a lot more interested in television & movies. He loves watching cartoons with his sisters and is always ‘singing’ along with all the fun songs. We recently received the Bob the Builder: Super Scrambler DVD and my son has loved watching it.

    My sons favorite thing about this DVD is that it has a lot of cars (or tractors & bob3trucks) in it! He will stand in front of the TV saying “CAR! CAR!”. Technically, they are not all cars, but that is what he calls anything with wheels Smile. I love that it keeps his attention long enough that I can get a few things done around the house without him clinging to me!! Now even though this DVD doesn’t have princesses or pink or Barbie’s in it, my girls have sat down to watch it a couple of times. I was very surprised that they were interested in it.

    Cool New Collectible for Boys ~ Our DaGeDar in Home Party

     DaGeDar is the next Big Thing in toys for kids!  We were so thrilled to be IMAG0561chosen to host a DaGeDar in home party for the boys.  DaGeDar are collectible ball bearings with fun designs on each.  Your kids can collect them and use the tracks and launchers to play.dagedar-logo_thumb

    We were sent the Two Lane Battle Jump Raceway along with a launcher, flip action carrying case, and a whole bunch of DaGeDar Balls.  The boys were super excited as we got each out of it’s package.  They quickly decided which were their favorites (based on all the really cool designs).  They built the track and started racing their DaGeDar’s against each other.  The design of this raceway is fun because they can hold the ramp at different angles and get different results.

    My 3 year old even loves them and it’s really cute cause he calls them “scary balls”.  I think he calls them that cause some of them have scary faces :) It’s really funny to hear him talk about them.  But just like the older boys he is smitten with DaGeDar.

    They had a blast playing with them and their friends were excited to be able to take some DaGeDar’s home with them.  They were all saying how they couldn’t wait to get more DaGeDar’s and a track of their own.

    Another really fun thing about these DaGeDar is that each one has a number on the back that your child can enter into the DaGeDar website and register.

    Based on how much the boys loved all the DaGeDar items we were sent, I can say that DaGeDar is definitely going to be the must have toys for boys this year!

    I was so excited when I found Shirts That Go!  The have the most fun and adorable Vehicle inspired T-shirts for kids and toddlers that I have ever seen!  imageTT-2T

    I had a hard time choosing my 2 favorite shirts to review.  They have so many fun prints!  I ended up choosing the Pirate Ship and Big Rig T-Shirts for Bug.  When they arrived I fell in love!  They are even better looking in person.   The colors are great and the pictures look awesome!  It is the cutest truck t-shirts for kids I have ever seen!  The shirts are super soft and comfy.  Bug immediately changed into the truck shirt when it came.  He loves them both.  I got size 6 for 3 and a half year old Bug (he is average size for his age) and they fit him great.  Their shirts run small so be sure to order larger.

      I highly recommend T-Shirts that Go for your kids!  I love them so much I have my eye on the kids tractor t-shirts for my next purchase :)

    Babiators Baby and Kids Sunglasses Review and Giveaway [CLOSED]

    babiators6My son loves playing with my sunglasses, but I don’t love letting him. He is too rough with them and they break pretty easily. I was excited to receive a pair of Babiators baby sunglasses for him because I knew they would be durable, & tough enough for everything a toddler could dish up.

The good thing is that these baby & kids sunglasses are totally flexible so he can play with them like that, and they aren’t going to break easily. I am trying to train him so he will keep the Babiators on while we are outside, but it might be a while before he decides to do that.     diegoMy kids are loving all the DVD’s we are receiving to review. They all LOVE watching movies. So much so that I have to be careful not to sit them in front of the TV all day even though I know I could get so much more done Winking smile. We were sent Go, Diego, Go!: Fiercest Animal Rescues! on DVD and I had no idea that my kids love Diego! My girls are big fans which surprises me because there are no princesses involved in this DVD. I am glad they are broadening their horizons. My son also loves it. I’m pretty sure the animals are what catch his attention.

     In this DVD, Diego saves animals in Africa, Australia and Alaska.  Throughout his adventures Diego receives help from his sister Alicia, animal pals, Rescue Pack, Click the Camera (voiced by Rosie Perez) and the viewers at home.

    This Sports Towel surprised me when I opened it. I was expecting a regular old beach towel, but it’s more like a shammy that you would dry off a car with.     Brag Worthy Summer ~ ATG Stores Verso Toro Kids Bicycle Review and $100 GC Giveaway [CLOSED]

    bike1I love the great selection that ATG Stores offers for online shopping.  I find myself browsing there site and having a hard time narrowing down what I would like to buy :)   Especially right now because they have so many great outdoor and summer products.

    After browsing for about an hour I finally decided on the Verso KT902-129 Toro Boys Kids Bicycle for Bug.  Right now he doesn’t have a pedal bike and I figured this summer was the perfect time to get him one.  The shipping from ATG Stores was really fast (arrived within a week).  It took my hubby about 30 minutes to put the bike together, it comes partially assembled which is nice so you don’t bike1have to put the whole thing together, just some of it.  Once it was put together I was immediately impressed with the quality if this kids bike, it is heavy duty and I can tell it will last for a long time.  I also love that it can hold up to 110 lbs. and the seat and training wheels are adjustable.  Another way this bike will grow with your child.  The red and black look so well together, it is a great looking boys bike.  Bug is loving it and likes to ride it to the park and the pool (and all over the neighborhood when we go on our walks).  I am very happy with this product from ATG Stores!

    This half tent is perfect for setting up in the backyard.  It was easy to assemble.  I also really like that it can easily be brought inside (easily fits through the doorway when turned sideways).  Bug has enjoyed both outdoor and indoor fun with his base camp tent.  It can comfortably fit 3 kids, or 1 adult with 1 kid.safari2

    Roary The Racing Car DVD Review and Giveaway [CLOSED]

It is about a little red race car (named ROARY) and all of his buddies, learning lessons in doing the right thing, staying positive, helping others, staying safe, problem solving and friendship. We watched it today and my son seemed to enjoy this movie the most out of all my kids. He got pretty excited seeing all the cars. It’s probably about time we had a DVD fit for a boy since all we really have in our house are princess movies. Of course, he didn’t understand what was going on in the movie, but it held his attention for quite a while. It’s the perfect for him. Now, my girls weren’t as interested, but I’m sure it has something to do with the movie not having any princesses in it Winking smile.  Regardless, I am glad to have this movie for son and I think he will enjoy it throughout the next few years.

    ·       “Stars and Cars” - Big Chris has been invited to appear on a TV karaoke show.  The cars are worried that the success will go to his head and he’ll leave Silver Hatch forever.

    Uncle Milton’s Toys Dinosaur Train Science Toys Review and Giveaway [CLOSED]

    Everybody LOVES the Dinosaur Train at our house!!! It’s my girls’ choice of television show several mornings a week, and we are constantly singing the theme song. My girls even argue over who gets to be ‘Tiny’ & ‘Shiny’, so I knew they would be pretty excited to see what fun Dinosaur Train toys I had for them! dino

    The toys fit perfectly in my girls’ Easter baskets, and they immediately ripped open the packages to see what fun science toys they had to play with. They absolutely LOVED the little Hatchers and quickly put them in water so they could begin hatching!

    KinderGlo Fun Safe Portable Nightlights Review and Giveaway [CLOSED]

    My three year old daughter is not a fan of the dark. We have had several night lights that have broken soon after we got them and finally just gave up. We have just been leaving her door open with the hall light on. But when I go to bed and I turn all the lights off, it’s dark again.     My daughter is not one to be afraid of the dark BUT she loves to have a little bit of light in her room while she is sleeping.The KinderGlo portable nightlight was the perfect addition to her room! This cute nightlight isn’t super bright and isn’t hot to the touch, which is a huge plus! Leah loves playing with it and laying with it in bed.     Little 3 year old Bug has just discovered a new fear.  A fear of the dark.  Up until now he has been my little pitch back sleeper.  He must have pitch black in order to sleep.  But lately he has been showing some fear of being in the dark, (Maybe one to many Scooby Doo episodes?).  So I knew it was time to get him a nightlight.  When KinderGlo sent me the T Rex Nightlight Bug couldn’t have been more excited.  Not only did he get a nightlight to help him with his fear of the dark but a really cool new Dino friend as well.  I like that it turns off after 20 minutes all by itself.  And you can also set it to run all night if needed.  I love that it is portable so Bug can bring it with him for middle of the night potty breaks or into my room to get me.  A huge plus about this portable nightlight is that it has a rechargeable battery.  It just sits on a base that is plugged in.  And when it is sitting on the base and you remove it it immediately turns on.  I keep it on the side of Bugs bed and if he needs it in the middle of the Heidi_Sig_Bluenight all he has to do is reach over and take it off, and voila it is on without any trouble.  I am a big fan of KinderGlo and recommend them for anyone who needs a children’s night light!kinder6

    The only problem I have with our KinderGlo dinosaur night light, is that we don’t have two of them! My boys fight over it- at least it’s a lesson on sharing? =) I love the different colors. You can hear my oldest in his bed saying “Red! Green! Blue!” There are different settings too, so you can set it to your child’s favoriteJoanna_Sig_Orange color. I also love, love, LOVE that it’s rechargeable! I’m so tired of constantly changing batteries so when the dinosaur won’t turn on, a few minutes on the charger will do the trick. I think we are going to have to buy another one soon!

    First off, let me tell you how easy this can be. If you have no knowledge of digital scrapbooking, Mixbook can pretty much do it all for you! All you really have to do is download the pictures. Online scrapbooking is definitely the way to go!  Now I can’t really tell you that it only took an hour to do my book….because it took MUCH longer than that. But only because I choose to do a lot of customizing with my own computer program. I started with a ‘blank canvas’. That’s why I love Mixbook so much!! They allow me the freedom of making my book JUST how I want it.

    mixbook1I chose to make an 11 x 14″ Coffee Table Landscape Photo Book. It was quick & easy to start out. I didn’t have to learn how to navigate the website because it was so easy, and I was able to get started right away. The thing that took the longest was downloading all my pictures. Next time I do a book (and I will definitely be doing another one), I will only download the picturesmixbook3 that I for sure want to use….instead of downloading my whole folder!

    There were so many layouts for me to use. From 1 photo to 21 photos, I loved having so many options! I was also able to chose backgrounds & stickers (that came pre-loaded) or I could have designed my own and uploaded them….which I did a lot of. It was simple to add text and I could even edit my pictures right there in Mixbook (which is great if you don’t already have a editing program). I ordered my Mixbook and was surprised that the DSC_0556shipping was so fast. It arrived at my house about five days after I ordered it. My book is absolutely PERFECT! I am so happy with the way it turned out. It will definitely be a keepsake for my son and I think he will love looking through it once he is older. Now I just need to make some for my girls.
