Lalaloopsy Sew Magical Mermaid Doll Review and Giveaway [CLOSED]

I know Lalaloopsy dolls have been the big thing for a while…however, my girls aren’t really old enough to follow the trends so we have never owned a Lalaloopsy doll. That is until now. We were sent a Lalaloopsy Sew Magical Mermaid Doll and my daughters are loving her!

“Coral Sea Shells™ was sewn from a swimmer’s bathing suit. She’s super-imaginative and she loves to pretend she’s a real mermaid. Her favorite hobbies are swimming with the fish and eating seaweed salad. She has a pet blowfish.”

Besides being super cute, my girls of course love that "’Coral Sea Shells’ is meant to go in the water. They have a lot of fun playing with her in the bathtub. The hair on this Lalaloopsy doll changes color (depending on the temperature of the water) and that makes this doll even more fun! I am a big fan of the fact that this doll is not wearing a bikini. She has a nice modest swimsuit on, and that makes me a happy mom since I try to keep my girls’ swimsuits the same way. She also comes with a mermaid tail that easily goes on & off. My only complaint is that we don’t have 2 of these Lalaloopsy Sew Magical Mermaid Dolls because both of my girls want to play with her often!!

My 4 year old Bug LOVES Jake and the Never Land Pirates. It is one of his favorite shows. It is actually one of the few kids shows I enjoy sitting down and watching with him as well. He enjoyed ever minute of the Peter Pan Returns episode when it aired on Disney Junior. He loves the music and all the singing that Peter Pan does (and so do I). So he was really excited to get the episode along with 5 other fun episodes including one that hasn’t been aired on the Jake and the Never Land Pirates: Peter Pan Returns DVD with Digital Copy. As a mom I am always on the lookout for videos for kids that are not only age appropriate but educational as well. I was thrilled when I was introduced to Kidobi. I recently signed up for an account and I along with my 4 year old have really been enjoying it.

What I love about Kidobi is that it plays children’s videos based on your child’s age and any criteria you set. For example you can choose which topics you want to focus on for your child (math, social, science, etc…) You can set filters for what they will be shown. So as the parent you are in complete control of your child’s viewing experience.

With so many shows on T.V. these days and all the advertising it can be hard to keep tabs on what your child sees without sitting next to them constantly. That’s what I love about Kidobi. I set what I want for Bug to see then I can simply turn it on for him and know he is only seeing what I have approved in his customizable playlist. I love that he can watch educational programing in an ad free environment.

Bug loves the shows on Kidobi and they keep his attention very well. He even requests to watch Kidobi instead of T.V. It’s great!

Another great feature is that I get email updates telling me what he has been watching and learning. As a mom preschool education is so important and I love that I can use Kidobi to not only entertain my child but what he sees is educational and beneficial. Kids are going to watch videos, with Kidobi you can make their screen time count. I highly recommend Kidobi to all parents of preschoolers.

Step2 4-in-1 Rock ‘n Stroll Rider Review and Giveaway [CLOSED]

“Grow-with-me ride on easily transforms into a rocker, toddler cart, walker, and foot-to-floor vehicle.”

We were excited to review The Step2 4-in-1 Rock ‘n Stroll Rider, right off I loved the fact that it has so many uses and really grows with your child.

I have to say putting it together was a little more work than I expected. It comes in all separate pieces (as shown below). It took me about an hour to put it together, so I recommend doing it when your child is sleeping so they don’t get frustrated waiting for you.

Once assembled I liked how cute it is. This is showing it with the rocker. It’s great that your baby can enjoy rocking in it once they are old enough to sit up and rock (suggested age is 1). I like that it has a yellow support bar for added support for your baby. The bar easily moves up and down so you can put your child in and out with little effort.

The rocker platforms easily remove and it is ready to roll. Your child can then stand behind it and use it as a walker or push toy. It has green feet supports they can use as you push them along.

The handle on the back raises up easily for it to become a push toy your child can ride on as you push them along.

Once your child is older you can remove the yellow support bar and it is a ride on foot to floor vehicle.

The steering wheel has a fun toy on it with buttons and knobs. It makes noise and plays cute music. It requires 2 AA batteries, not included, so be sure to have some handy.

The toy is removable so your child can play with it off of the vehicle as well.

This is a great ride on toddler toy with so many uses!

This hip bag truly caters to mom/dad & baby. I received the black leather BaMomzY Bag and it is great. It has all the right pockets & pouches and really simplifies the life of new parents. And with all the other things we have to worry about, it’s nice to know that there is actually a diaper bag that makes things a bit easier. I think the built-in wipe dispenser is ingenious, and I love the added paci pouch that will keep my baby’s binky easy to access at all times. My only wish is that the bag was a little more chic (maybe a different color or pattern) but that is just my personal style. I tend to go for more eccentric accessories Winking smile . New Philips Avent Products for Moms and Toddlers ~ Natural Drinking Cup, Toddler Spout Cup & Day/Night Disposable Breast Pads Review

I used a lot of Philips Avent product with Bug when he was a baby and toddler and became a fan of their products. So I was thrilled to try out a few of their new products:

My First Natural Drinking Cup:

“This spoutless, strawless sippy cup allows drinking from all around the rim, just like an adult cup. It encourages your toddler to get used to grown up drinking, without the mess.”

This is my favorite of their new products. It is such a cool cup and perfect for teaching your baby or toddler to drink from a cup. You get everything you would from an adult cup but of course it is spill proof so you don’t have the mess of a regular cup. When your child puts their lips on the cup it pushes the center down allowing the liquid out. Then once their mouth is off of it it seals again. Very neat! I also love that it has a lid so I can take it on the go with us in the diaper bag. I highly recommend this sippy cup, it’s fantastic! It is recommended for ages 12 months+.

Toddler Spout Cup:

I am a big fan of this sippy cup as well. The smaller version for 6 months+ has a soft spout which is great for transitioning your baby from bottle to sippy cup. This cup is available in three sizes (7; 9; 12 oz.). Soft spout is perfect for 6m+ tots while integrated spout is ideal for 12m+ and 18m+.

I love that I am getting the right protection for the time of day (or night) I am wearing these nursing pads especially since I tend to need more protection at night. I really like that the day pads are thin enough that you can’t see them even when I wear a tight shirt. I also like that they are comfortable and breathable. I don’t find myself sweating under these like I do with other breastfeeding pads.

I recently came across NE Kids when searching for the perfect furniture for my baby girl’s nursery. I was immediately impressed with their selection and quality of children’s furniture.

I love that the drawer is nice and big for storage as well as a lot of room underneath for storing items. They even have a basket you can purchase to go underneath. I love this nightstand and am so happy I chose NE Kids for this nightstand!

I was sent a one a Lollibar stylish baby bar cover to review. Right away I was impressed by the quality of the Lollibar cover. It is well made and will last. We were sent the Bobble Bots Moshi Monsters Starter Set, Gross-ery Store, and an extra Moshling to review. Right away my 4 year old got very excited about his new toys just seeing them in the box. We opened them and the playtime has been endless since Smile These cute little Bobble Bots have an on/off switch on the back of them and once on they run all over the place with their heads bobbling all the while. They are a little but noisy when they run around on the playsets, but this of course makes the kids love them more. These Bobble Bots are an instant hit and Bug is already asking me for more moshlings and playsets to add onto his existing ones.
