I was so excited when I saw the Home Depot Big Builders Workshop. It is the perfect tools and workshop playset for boys. As a little girl I loved playing with my pretend kitchen and had so much fun. This playset is exactly like a kitchen but the boy version. So cool! 4 year old Bug squealed in delight when this big box arrived at our house. He couldn’t wait for his daddy to come home and put it together. I was pleasantly surprised that it was pretty easy for my hubby to assemble and didn’t take very long.

My son has had a blast playing with it since. It has received at least a couple hours a day of play each day. There is so much for him to do. He loves the light which is a simple push on and off. He even went to preschool and bragged that he had a new workshop at his house with ‘real’ tools and all It is a huge hit at our house!

It is made by Step 2 so it is a great quality. We have owned many Step 2 toys and products and they are all made very well and last long enough that they are still in great condition when Bug outgrows them and we are able to pass them on to another child. This is no exception to Step 2’s quality. This one will last a long long time.

Brag Worthy Christmas ~ Baby Brezza One Step Baby Food Maker Review and Giveaway [CLOSED]

I know that I just had a baby a couple months ago BUT I have been thinking about how to save money with baby food. Now don’t get me wrong I think buying baby food is convenient but how much are you really saving?

I came across this awesome product from Baby Brezza and couldn’t WAIT to try out making homemade food. So the first thing I did was invite my friend over to try a recipe with me! Her baby just turned 6 months and is starting to solid foods and she was just as excited as me.

We decided to try out the Sweet Potato and Banana recipe and it was so so easy! First you cut up your sweet potato into smaller pieces and put it into the Baby Brezza Baby Food Maker. Then you steam your veggies for however long the recipe calls for, in this case it was about 20 minutes. What I love is that the Baby Brezza steams your vegetables for you!

Then the next thing you do is add the bananas and then puree and it’s ready to go! It’s such an easy one step that anyone can do it! What I love is how much money I’m going to save. I decided just to freeze what I made and purchase some ready to freeze containers. I love that it comes with tons of recipes to try out from fruit to veggies to meat items. It also tells you at what age to start some of the foods.

I think this is a better way to go then buying baby food in jars. Fruits and Veggies will go a long way and you can get several feeding out of one Sweet Potato then with a jar of baby food. I can’t wait to try out some of the other recipes.

I have to say that I’m a little jealous of my kids! I’ve been wanting an iPad for a while now, but it just hasn’t been in the budget. I love the VTech InnoTab Interactive Learning App Tablet for kids. It is such a great way to get kids engaged and learning! I love that it’s not just a gaming system- it’s an educational toy, packed with all kids of learning apps, educational games, creative activities, and my favorite, E-books! What a great way to encourage your kids to read. They will feel like a grownup, and love being able to play their own way. My boys are actually going to get this for Christmas, so they haven’t had the pleasure of playing with it. I pulled it out of the box, though, and explored a little bit. It was a nice thing, because I was able to get the Cars2 software I bought for it on it, so it will be ready to go when they open it Christmas morning. It was easy to navigate, and I don’t think the boys will have a problem at all. I think they are going to really love the Coloring Book app- they can color till their hearts content, then start over again! The only complaint that I have, is that it takes 4AA batteries. I wish it was a rechargeable battery. But you can put in your own rechargeable batteries! Other than that, this tablet is fantastic. I think it will be great for road trips and plane trips- I know it will keep the boys entertained for hours! Thanks, VTech!

I was so excited to receive Frosty’s Winter Wonderland Deluxe Edition on DVD for our family to watch. Bug has heard and sang the song but he had never seen this classic Christmas cartoon. It is fun to see how much he loves it especially since I remember watching it as a child. It brings back great memories for me and I love seeing Bug make new ones.

I am so happy to have this Frosty the Snowman DVD to our Holiday DVD collection. It is a prefect gift for the holiday season and for under the tree on Christmas morning!

I decided to wait on doing the puzzle until a couple weeks before Christmas, once out tree is set up. But I love the jumbo pieces and how simple it will be to put together as a family.

We all have enjoyed getting up in the morning and seeing what mischief Ollie has gotten himself into. Recently he took it upon himself to feed our fish…

One other morning he had taken a midnight train ride… he must have thought he was on the Polar Express!

This is a fantastic holiday tradition that we love having in our house. Oliver really helps us create special memories that I know my boys will always remember. Thanks, Santa!

Brag Worthy Christmas ~ SOUND+SLEEP Machine Sleep Therapy System Review and Giveaway [CLOSED]

Since I am pregnant I have had trouble sleeping lately so I have been looking for a drug-free sleep solution to help me sleep better at night. When I searching my options I came across the SOUND+SLEEP system and had to try it out.

When it arrived I was really impressed by the size of the unit. It is nice and small and doesn’t take up much space on my night stand. I also like the sleek black design, it looks great.

But the real wow factor came when I turned it on for the first time. The sound is so clear and a great quality. I have tried other cheap sound machines and their sound quality is nothing like the SOUND+SLEEP. The sounds from this machine are all recorded from nature so they are very real sounds. It also has a precise volume control buttons so you can get the volume that is perfect for you. At first I thought the price was high for a sound machine but once I heard it I knew it was worth every penny!

I have been using the SOUND+SLEEP machine for about a week now and I have noticed an improvement in my sleep. I fall asleep much faster and I don’t wake up as much as I used to. I feel more rested when I wake up in the morning so I know I am getting a deeper better sleep. My favorite sound to sleep to is brook, with my second choice as rainfall. The water sounds are really soothing to me. You can hear a sample of the sounds here.

I have also found my SOUND+SLEEP unit is perfect for relaxation. I love the Meditation sound for this. I will turn it on and sit in my room to unwind after a long busy day. It really helps me to relax and de-stress before an evening with my family.

If you don’t want the machine to run all night you can set the timer for 30, 60, 90, or 120 minutes. This is a great option for nap time (for you or your kids) my son wakes up when the timer goes off so I can schedule his naps for the length I need.

Another thing I love is that there is a display button you can push and the lights on the machine will go off. I really appreciate this since I don’t like any lights on in my room while I sleep. An added bonus!

If you suffer from insomnia or just want improved nights of sleep I highly recommend the SOUND+SLEEP system.

I am a HUGE Beauty and the Beast movie fan. It has always been my favorite Disney movie. So I was excited to get Beauty and the Beast The Enchanted Christmas on Blu-ray Combo Pack. My boys LOVE the Battle Machines R/C Laser Combat Air vs. Land. They couldn’t wait to start playing with it once it arrived. It has gotten a lot of play time since then. It is great that they can both play and take turns being the remote control helicopter or the gun. It is a great toy with an awesome wow factor. I highly recommend it.

It comes with a Helicopter, Gun Tower, 2 Controllers and an Extra “blade” (small propeller). It does not include the batteries and it requires 11 AA batteries so be sure to have those on hand.

I take SOOOOO many pictures. Probably too many. But my kids are so dang cute! LOL. The question becomes, though, what to do with all those pictures? Print them all out? Scrapbook? Brag Worthy Christmas ~ My Monster Burrufu Children’s Book Review

Seven-year-old Olivia has just moved to a new house — the same house where a
lonely monster named Burrufu lives hidden in a secret attic. One night, unable
to resist the smell of delicious cookies, Burrufu sneaks out and is discovered
by Olivia. The two soon learn that you can find friendship in the most
unexpected places. ‘My Monster Burrufu’ is a story of overcoming fear, a curse,
and a most unusual monster who learns from a little girl how to trust his heart.

I was so excited to read this book. I thought that the cover art for this book was adorable. I was excited to discover that this book had many great pictures in it. The illustrations are so cute and have so much personality. Alessandra Sorrentino did an amazing job with pictures. With the amazing pictures and fabulous writing, I loved reading My Monster Burrufu!

The main character in this book, a little girl named Olivia was so cute! She is hyper, happy little girl with a great love of cookies. In a majority of the book, Olivia has cookies with her. I love how developed the character is. By the end of the book, I felt like I really knew Olivia. A major reason for this is the great writing by the author, Alberto Corral.

One of the main lessons from this book is to not judge a person or a monster by its outside. In the book, Olivia meets a monster named Burrufu who lives in her attic. Burrufu does not like being around people because he is afraid of scaring them. This has also made Burrufu very grumpy. Olivia accepts Burrufu for who he is and it turns into a wonderful friendship. I think that this is a great book to be an example of how we should treat people who are different.

This is a great children’s book for the whole family! It is a great book for middle grade elementary school students to read by themselves, but it would be a great read-aloud for the family to read together. I think that books are great Christmas gifts and this would be a fabulous children’s book to get for Christmas! It is available for purchase on Amazon.

I have to admit I have fallen in love with a stroller. Yes it is true. While I thought it wasn’t possible to love a stroller so much I have now learned what true stroller love is Because I am now the proud owner of a Joovy Ultralight Caboose Stand-On Tandem Stroller. I chose Brownie as my color and it is a great choice. The brown and black look fabulous together and since I don’t know yet if I am expecting a boy or girl it is the perfect gender neutral color choice.

It was really easy to assemble, it took my hubby less than 10 minutes to set it up. You just have to put the wheels on and the canopy and your all set.

I love how easy it is to open and close. This is a must have for me and the strollers I use. It really is effortless. Another great feature is that it folds down pretty flat (especially compared to other tandem strollers) and easily fits in the truck of my car. It is also really light for a double stroller weighing in at only 21 lbs. This is nice because I can easily lift it in and out of the car by myself.

The front seat can be used as a regular stroller seat with 3 levels of recline. It can be used from 6 months to 45 lbs. Or you can use the included universal car seat adapter and put your infant car seat on the front seat. So basically the front seat can can be used from birth up to 45 lbs. My 4 year old can fit in the front seat well and the canopy is high enough that his head doesn’t touch.

Your older child can ride on the back either standing or sitting on the bench seat. The bench seat pulls out when they are sitting on it, and pushes in to make room for them to stand on the platform. It also has handles for your child to hold while they are standing. The back seat is suggested to be used from 2.5 years to 45 lbs. It is perfect for your older child who likes to get in and out of the stroller often but still needs to hitch a ride. Something to note is that when the front seat is fully reclined it is hard for your child to sit on the bench seat since they don’t have much room. This isn’t a problem since I just have Bug stand when the front seat is reclined.

I love the canopy coverage. It provides coverage for both the child in the front and the child in the back. It also folds all the way down to completely cover the child in the front, I love this!

I really like that the Ultralight comes with parent organizer so I have 2 cup holders and a zipper pocket to hold my cell phone, keys, etc…

I am so excited to use this stroller once my new baby arrives. It is the perfect stroller for someone with a baby and an older child who wants independence. It provides a nice smooth ride for your kids and it is really easy to maneuver. And since it is a tandem you can fit through regular door ways and isles when your shopping at stores. I highly recommend this tandem double stroller!

Brag Worthy Christmas ~ HABA Pulling Figure Diego Dragon Review and Giveaway [CLOSED]

This little Dragon is so adorable. My first reaction when I pulled it out of the box was how wonderfully bright it is. The colors are so vibrant making baby immediately drawn to it. I gave this to my 1 year old niece and she was instantly attached. She pulled it all around the house with her every where she went. I love how the wings move and flip as it is pulled. Very cute!
