Start with color: Did you know that changing a wall color can affect mood? In fact, you might consider colors that balance the extremes in your child’s personality. For example, an overly active child might be soothed by cool blues or pale pastels. If your child tends to be disorganized, white walls scale down the effect of visual clutter. And if you want to give your child a lift, intense rich colors will create drama and energy.

Pump up the texture: Kids love to feel textures—that’s why cuddly teddy bears and stuffed animals are so beloved. Invest in a soft flannel sheet or chenille throw for the bed. Or maybe a fun animal throw rug for the floor. Of course, as you choose fabrics for your kid’s room, think about how easy or difficult they are to clean.

Reinvent the chalkboard: It’s amazing how easy it is to turn an entire wall into a chalkboard. To create a bold canvas for your child’s creativity, all you need is chalkboard paint, which now comes in a variety of colors. There are even some homemade recipes for making chalkboard paint that you can find online (although I haven’t tried them out). Kids can use their newfound canvas to make drawings, invent puzzles, leave notes, play math games and generally just have fun.

This Professional Oral Irrigator is so much easier than flossing my teeth! I loved using it right after eating. Not only did it clean my teeth, but it got all the food particles (I know….super gross) out of the wires of my braces quicker than I could’ve done it any other way. The stream of water was strong enough to be effective, but it didn’t hurt my gums at all. The Oral Irrigator has 3 different modes including a soft mode, so if you have sensitive gums, it is perfect for you. Not only do they have great tasting toothpaste and rinses for kids, but they have them for adults too! There are several categories of natural oral care products to choose from. I really liked the Anti-Cavity toothpaste and Healthy Gums and Balance rinses.

While being pregnant it is sometimes hard for me to brush my teeth. It’s not that I don’t want to, it’s the whole gagging reflux thing! It seriously makes me nauseous just thinking about it. BUT with these toothpastes and rinses I don’t feel that gag reflux anymore! I think it’s because of how natural and good smelling they are. Some of the flavors I really liked were the Peppermint Twist, Orange Zest and Peppermint Sage. All of the flavors I tried I really liked!

I have really been enjoying my new Dirt Devil Quick Flex 2 in 1 Hand and Stick Vacuum. I have been wanting to get a hand vacuum for a while now for those small clean up jobs,for vacuuming out the car, and cleaning off furniture. I’ve already told you how much I love good soap. I really, really love it!

I have only been using it for about a week, so I haven’t seen too much of a difference yet, but I am holding out hope Winking smile . I CAN tell you that it removes my make-up like a pro (no mascara left behind), and it doesn’t dry out my skin. I am more of a fruit-scented kind of girl, so I’m not too fond of the smell of this soap, but if it improves my skin then I am a FAN!!

The chocolate brown color matched my home decor so well. I know longer have this bright red eye sore on my dining room floor. I love that the splat mat is waterproof so my carpet is protected. I also like that it is a good sized mat. Just big enough that it covers the area in danger of getting spilled on, but not too big that it is awkward. The best thing about it for me is how easy it is to wash it. I can simply wipe it clean, or if I need to I can through it in my washing machine. I honestly don’t know how I survived for all these years without a Tarpy Splat Mat!

As a mom and wife I am always searching for products to make my daily chores easier. So when I heard about the Bounce Dryer Bar I bought one right away. It is so easy to install, and then I don’t have to worry about dryer sheets again! I seriously love not having to worry about buying them or placing them in each load. It is a small thing I realize, but so nice to not worry about. The first Dryer Bar I purchased lasted for 4 whole months, which is totally awesome! I have to clarify that I don’t do a lot of laundry, just an average amount. But with the Bounce dryer bar you can expect to get about 2-4 months of use out of it (The amount of use depends on how many loads you do and your dryer settings). I was sent another Dryer Bar for this review (yay cause I love them!). So I have now tried both scents, outdoor fresh and fresh linen. They both smell great, but my favorite is the fresh linen. The bounce dryer bar has changed the way I do laundry (totally for the better)!

Installation in 3 Easy Steps

1. Remove paper backing.

2. Press firmly onto a smooth part of dryer drum. Do not attach to dryer fin.

3. After about 2-4 months, a replacement indicator will appear; simply remove bar cartridge and replace with new one.

Organize It Kids Back Seat Organizer Review

I couldn’t wait to review the Kids Back Seat Organizer from Organize it. We are heading out in October for a road trip to Disneyland and I can’t imagine being in the car for 12 hours with a 2 year old with out it! This is the perfect solution for a screaming child in the backseat.

The Kids Back Seat Organizer has tons of different pockets for wet wipes, napkins, books, juice boxes, treats and if that isn’t enough it also has a great storage inside! The back seat organizer has room enough for everything you can think of all within a child’s reach. It also has a great hard lid so kids can color on it or use it to play with toys. Leah loves having everything within reach and I don’t have to constantly try to pass back toys or food or her juice because it’s all right there.

I also love that it is the perfect size for the backseat and is perfect to put puzzles, crayons, books and treats!

Organize It also has a great selection of home organization products from the kitchen to office to bathroom etc. One of my favorite things was the laundry sorter and the Washer and Dryer helper shelf. My laundry room is always a complete mess, partly because it’s also our storage room since it’s an unfinished basement. So anything to help organize that area is a huge plus in my book.

Organize it also has a great selection of storage solutions for the home. I love the area of kitchen storage, my pantry is somewhat organized but it could always use the extra help. I love the over the door pantry kit which is perfect for canned goods, spices, cooking spray and anything else that messes up the shelves and if you pair that up with the food organizer you are good to go!

The office organizers are great too, if your like me then sometimes that area gets a little messy, I also thought it would be great to use the Desktop organizer for the TV Room. It’s perfect for remotes, tv guides, magazines etc.

♥ I was offered to review this item and was thrilled to accept. These fun flying discshave become a fast hit in my household. Not only with my kids, but me as well. The kids have used them as a frisbee, hat, placemat and even as a cool mouse pad for their trackman mouse. I used them for the kitchen too. They made great trivets and pot holders while cooking. I even used a couple at some of our last few baseball games to keep the kids busy as well as to sit on. Those bleacher ain’t too pretty sometimes. LOL All in all, the Phd Pocket Disc is not only a great toy for the kids, you can find numerous uses for them. What’s great is, the Phd Pocket Disc site and blog offer many suggestions for using this. Games being one of them. My kids loved trying out all the games they suggested. Their favorite was PHD Bowling. They love to bowl, so this was fun way that they can do it any day without having to pay for the shoes. LOL They also list a bunch of different uses. Some you wouldn’t even think of. WOW! Our family definitely recommends getting the Phd Pocket Disc for your home or as a gift for another family. You will love them! WE DO! ♥

I was sent the Swiffer SweeperVac to review and I was pleasantly surprised when a big box showed up on my front porch. Inside was a case that had inside of it the Swiffer SweeperVac, refills, and a fun “challenge” to put the Swiffer SweeperVac to the test. It had 4 jars with dirt, synthetic hair, food crumbs, and cheerios. I was like “There is no way this thing can pick up cheerios”. So we put it to the test. The kids had so much fun dumping out the contents of the jars onto our laminate kitchen floor. They just can’t get enough of making messes, go figure! Then we put together the Swiffer SweeperVac (just putting the handles on and placing the disposable dry cloth on the bottom) and we were good to go. I was amazed at how easily it picked everything up. Nothing caused a problem for it, not even the cheerios! It can even pick up raisins and beads. Nice! So then I dumped all of our tester garbage out of it and started cleaning my kitchen floors. Once I was finished I went to the garbage to asses the situation. One word for you all, gross. I emptied the container that holds everything that gets vacuumed up and I couldn’t believe how much there was. Then I took of the dry cloth on the bottom and I was so happy to see how much had clung to the cloth. I have a big dog (a boxer) who sheds a lot, and a regular broom doesn’t get up her hair very well. But the pad was covered with it. I was so impressed by the SweeperVac, it definitely picks up much more than a regular broom. Much Much More! My floors looked spotless, not a crumb in site! I will not ever be going back to a broom. I am hooked on the Swiffer SweeperVac for life! sw1

Lysol No-Touch Hand Soap System Review and Giveaway [CLOSED]

When I heard that Lysol had a No-Touch Hand Soap dispenser, I couldn’t wait to try it out! I’m always on the lookout for ways to make my family more healthy. I read that your hands will come into contact with millions of germs a day and how important it is to wash your hands ALL the time! Now you too can help stop the spread of germs!

I love that you don’t have to touch the top of the dispenser, it’s basically like the ones you see at restaurants or the movies. All you do is stick your hand under and the soap is automatically dispensed! This hands free soap dispenser also come in 3 great scents: Soothing Cucumber Splash, Refreshing Grapefruit Essence and Cleansing Green Tea and Ginger.

I couldn’t wait to try out the New Lysol No-Touch Hand Soap System. I wouldn’t say I’m a far gone germa-phob but sometimes I get close (like when I have a new baby in my house). So thinking about all the nasty germs that get on the top of a soap pump really grosses me out. Well not anymore! I love that it comes with batteries so you can start using it right away. I put it in my kids bathroom and it is so nice. It is especially nice because my 2 year old can now get soap on his own. I love it so much I will be buying more to put in all of my other bathrooms and at my kitchen sink!
