Have you ever had one of the days where you ended up changing your shirt 3 or 4 times because the baby has spit up, thrown up, thrown food etc? Well I have had many of those days! When my little lady was an infant she would not only spit up but projectile vomit at least twice a day! I had to change my clothes numerous times. Well I wish I would have known about the Modern and Stylish BabiLayers cover-up!

This would have saved me many outfit changes and headaches! This is such a new invention (patent pending) and not only prevents your clothes from getting messy BUT it also protects infants from allergens and germs. Leah has really sensitive skin, this would have helped so much, especially when others want to hold your brand new baby and are wearing perfume or anything else.

Goat Milk Stuff let me choose 3 full-sized bars of natural soap. It was difficult to choose…there were a lot of scents that I wanted to try, but I narrowed it down and this is what they sent me:

How much can one say about soap?

Well I can say a lot about the Goat Milk Soap that showed up at my doorstep. First of all, I could smell it before I even opened the package. It was amazing. After I opened the package, I set the bars of soap on my dresser and left to do a few things. When I walked back into my bedroom, it was like I had put an air freshener in there. My room smelled wonderful and I was tempted to just let the soap sit and make my room smell delicious. But I couldn’t resist….plus I needed to review the soaps Winking smile .

Currently, I am using the Foot Scrubby and the Black Raspberry Bar. I hate what winter does to my skin. I usually feel itchy all the time even after I lather on the lotion. But the Black Raspberry bar has done wonders for me. I still use lotion, but I haven’t had one day of the itchiness that use to drive me CRAZY!

Now the Foot Scrubby is great. It is a loofah sponge filled with soap and I use it exactly how you would think….I scrub my feet with it. It’s a great way to exfoliate and keep my feet soft & smooth (I NEED this soap for the summer months!) They both lather really well too, which was pleasantly surprising. I am not a big fan of soap that doesn’t lather…..it makes me feel like it isn’t doing it’s job.

The bars I received were about 6 ounces. I started using the the Black Raspberry bar on November 20th, and I am almost about 3/4 of the way through it (and I use it everyday). So they last a good while. I store mine outside the shower so I can get as many uses as possible out of them!

Here is something else that is really great: Goat Milk Soap is made by a cute little family in Indiana just a few hours from where I live. Seriously, the kids milk the goats and everything. Isn’t that amazing! I want to take a little drive down to their farm just to see if it smells as wonderful as I think it would…..probably unlike any farm I’ve ever smelled before Winking smile .

I have been curious about cloth diapers for a while. I haven’t been brave enough to invest in a starter kit, because I haven’t been sure that cloth diapering is for me.

The first thing I love about this diaper is that you can get it with a gender specific liner to provide protection where it’s needed most:

My oldest son is “all boy”. He’s so into cars and trucks these days, so he was squealing with joy when I unveiled his Green Toys Fire Truck. I got pretty excited too, because it’s truly the cutest little truck I’ve ever seen. And of course, we all love that it’s a totally eco-friendly toy. It’s made out of 100% recycled milk jugs {how they turn those into this beautiful little truck, I’ll never know} which is fantastic. I love that it’s very simple- no batteries, no gadgets. Just fun. It’s safe for kids 1+, which I LOVE, because so many trucks and bigger toys are for older kids, which means I don’t like having them in the house with my little Rue around, who can get into mischief with anything. Green Toys has so many other great toys for kids, be sure to check them out! You will definitely be able to find a Christmas present for any little one on your list!

I chose to review the miYim Forest Mobile. I knew my son would enjoy looking at it while he was in his crib! I love the hand-made look of the mobile and the little characters are just adorable. It’s simple & cute and it is something I would leave hanging in my sons room just for decoration.

The Forest Mobile even came packaged in a cute little handmade box crafted from recycled material. I am totally going to re-purpose it! I think I was just as excited about the packaging as I was the actual toy….almost Winking smile .

miYim surprised me and sent me their little Musical Owl pull down toys as well. It plays ‘Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star’ and is so soft and cuddly. It comes with a Velcro loop so I can hang it on my sons car seat to keep him company on our drives. Of course, it was a hit with all of my kids. In fact, my girls were fighting over who got it first.

I am loving the simplicity of miYim’s Nursery Collection. Quality products that are simple, and perfect for an infant. And because they are made from organic cotton, you can feel good about giving these toys to your child. They would be the perfect gift for your baby’s first Christmas!

Cloth diaper addiction: Do you have it? I do! and Sage Diaper provided a huge fix for me. I am loving their Sure Fit Pocket diaper. I’ve never seen a diaper before that can be a pocket, or an All In Two. I’m such a huge fan of All In Two’s, because it saves on cost {and even better, it saves on laundry!} I was a little skeptical about being able to use this as an AI2 since the diaper insert snaps in the back, but it worked beautifully, with no leaks. There are two choices of diapers {inserts}:

Snap It diapers in Hemp-Organic cotton or Micro Terry with fleece top. Just snap them in, no folding needed.

Easy Fold diapers with a few easy folds you can customize the fit for your baby. They are the most economical choice

I chose the Snap It in Micro Terry and I LOVE it. I would love to try the hemp diaper as well. This diaper is easy to wash, easy to use, and to top if off, it’s adorable! Plus, you can choose whatever fruits and veggies you want, and it’s easy to have organic baby food. Fresh Baby also sent me their So Easy Toddler Food cookbook. I love it! The first thing we tried was the Broccoli & Rice Casserole, and Harrison gobbled it up. I was so pleased. There are so many great ideas for making healthy food for your toddler, which is something I struggle with because mine is SO picky. I was able to try one of their Organic Baby Sleep Sacks and it couldn’t have come at a better time! With the weather turning chilly, I have been concerned that my little guy will be cold during the night. Using a blanket worries me because he often pulls it up over his face and can’t remove it himself. The sleep sack keeps him warm, & helps me sleep better because I don’t have to wake up several times just to check on him!

The minute I took the sleep sack out of it’s package, I knew it was high Quality! Made from 12-oz. Organic Cotton/Hemp Fleece, the material is soft yet durable and I know it is going to last for a very long time.

Most of the others I have seen are very small and would only fit a baby for a short time. Tookee’s organic baby sleep sack is sized for babies 0-6 months, but I am guessing it will be perfect for my son well beyond six months.

Innovative Kids Little Learning Book Tower Review

I received the cutest set of Toddler Books from Innovative Kids, called green start book towers: little learning books. When choosing books for my little one I usually look for ones that will teach her something, will last long and have cute fun pictures! Well these books certainly have all of those requirements and more! I love the little chunky books that I received in this fun tower. The book tower included 10 chunky books ranging from Busy Day, Counting, My Farm etc.

As parents it seems like we’re always on the go. Doctor appointments, playdates, church, dinner with friends… the list goes on and on. I was really excited to be able to choose several things from the Prairie Essence store. I decided to choose Peppermint soap, Almond Lotion, Blueberry lip balm and Warm Prairie Fire Soap.

I am a sucker for yummy soaps, lotions and lip balm. I couldn’t wait to try all of my new products out. I absolutely LOVED the Sweet Almond lotion. It was so sweet smelling and it made my hands and feet feel really soft, it is also made with a natural source of vitamins.

The Lip balm and Soaps were equally as pleasing! I really like the smell of peppermint and the soap did it justice without being overwhelming.

When Hygeia said they were going to send me their EnJoye LBI Breastpump to review I was very excited because my sister in law recently had a baby and is breastfeeding but has returned to work. So I immediately new she would be perfect for reviewing it. And since it is a Professional Grade Breastpump it can safely be shared by multiple mothers. So when she is done with it, I will only have to buy the accessory set and I can use the same pump. That is very nice and also eco friendly! So she put the pump to the test for 1 month and she said she hasn’t ever had a pump that worked this well. She loved how it mimics a babies suckling patterns by having different speed and pressure controls. She was able to find the perfect settings for her and was able to express her milk much quicker than with her old pump. Also she just raves about the CARE button. Being able to record her baby so she could play it back when she began pumping helped her milk to come down so much faster which is nice when you are trying to get the job done quickly while at work.
