My husband LOVES to grill, so he especially enjoyed being able to review a few great spices from Smokehouse Salt Company. First of all, I love that it’s a Texas based company {I LOVE Texas, right down to my Texas-shaped tattoo on my ankle} Our favorite was the Hickory Smoked Jalapeno- it doesn’t get any yummier than that! We added it to our regular steak rub, and it definitely added more flavor than we’d ever made before. I have been meaning to try it in eggs as the description suggests… doesn’t that sound yummy? Gotta wait for a time when I make eggs for just myself, and not also for the kiddos {do things like that ever happen?} Smokehouse products are all natural, which I LOVE- definitely a huge plus for anything that I’m feeding my family. Anything that makes my time in the kitchen a little simpler, gets an A+ in my book. I have wanted a salad spinner for a couple of years now. It’s easy to use. I was a little worried that it would be complicated to operate this brewbot. Boy was I wrong! It is so easy. You just place the T Disc into the Brewer. Then the brewer will read the unique barcode on the label and know exactly how much water it needs, the amount of time to brew and the temperature! It makes it really easy for me and I think that is pretty darn awesome!

{Brag Worthy Christmas} Butter Bell Crock Review and Giveaway [CLOSED]

“A modern version of the original French butter crock, the Original Butter Bell® crock allows butter to be kept at room temperature, on the counter or tabletop, for up to 30 days without spoilage, refrigeration or odors. Hefty Kitchen Bags with Unscented Odor Block Technology

I was introduced to Hefty Kitchen Bags with Unscented Odor Block technology about a month ago (in a review pack from My Blog Spark) and fell in love with them. They are so much better than the bags I was using previously. They are stronger for sure but I love the Odor Block Technology. It really is great. Post-Holiday Kitchen Cleanup from Weight Watchers Cheese Review and Giveaway

It’s not a New Year if you don’t have a resolution to make your life healthier right?That is definitely one of my goals this year and Weight Watchers is helping me make those changes for 2011.

I’ve never followed a diet program, but if I ever do, Weight Watchers will definitely be a top choice for me because it would allow me to eat the type of foods that I enjoy. I got to try them all and really enjoyed them! The Smoked Flavor String Cheese was interesting, and my kids weren’t too fond of it, but the other 2 flavors were a big hit! It’s nice to have a great-tasting snack that is healthy at the same time! I can feel good about feeding them to my children, and I don’t feel guilty about eating them myself!

I have only recently found out how wonderful coffee is. I really didn’t need it before- that was until I became the mother to a now 20 month old, and a 9 month old who still gets up 2 or 3 times a night {don’t even get me started}. I was sent the EatSmart™ Precision Pro Digital Kitchen Scale to review. We have been dieting at our house since the new year (I have lost 25 lbs, and my hubby has lost 50 lbs. so far!) so having this Kitchen Scale has come in so handy. That may actually be an understatement, this scale is awesome. You can set your plate/ bowl on it, then cancel out the weight of the plate/bowl so when you put food on it you are only seeing the weight of the food. It picks up even the smallest amount of weight, and can be used in grams, ounces, kilograms, and pounds. It has been so nice knowing exactly how much food I am using and eating. Up until now when a recipe called for 3 oz. of something I have just had to guess. Having a food scale in our kitchen is now a must! It is also great for weighing postage when I occasionally have to send out a small envelope or package.
