We love swimming! In fact we are out our neighborhood pool everyday without fail. So we of course we need to have fun water toys for all the time we spend there. Prime Time Toys has a great selection of pool and water toys. If you have been to Target and walked down the summer/swim isle then you have seen Prime Time Toys on the shelves We were sent two Splash Bombs Sports Splash Swords and a 6 piece Splash Combo pack of toys. The swords were a hit right when the boys saw them. There have been many splash sword fights and battles at our pool They are fun because they absorb water so each time they hit each other’s swords or swing them water comes out. Don’t worry moms, they are soft enough that they don’t hurt if they hit each other, (of course we discourage that). They have even had fun sword fighting with these in the house and in the backyard. Great toys for active boys! (They also have Sports Splash Battle Gear)

The 6 pack pack of water toys are great. They are all soft and perfect for younger children and babies. Many babies/toddlers at our neighborhood pool have enjoyed the soft blocks and the boys enjoy throwing the splash pets back and forth. Bug also likes to throw the splash pets out into the water and swim out to them. It’s a fun little game he plays.

We have had and will continue to have a lot of fun with Prime Time Water Toys. They are a great quality and I highly recommend them for summer time water/pool fun!

Brag Worthy Summer ~ Step 2 Sand & Water Fun Farm Review and Giveaway [CLOSED]

My 3 and a half year old loves being outside. Even more than that he loves playing with outdoor toys. We have really enjoyed the great variety of Step 2 outdoor toys and have been very happy with them all. So we were excited when the Step 2 Sand & Water Fun Farm arrived at our house.

It was very simple and fast to put together (which is very nice with an anxious toddler waiting). It is just a matter of clicking a few pieces into place and putting on the stickers. I love that it comes with a lot of small toys to play with, Bug of course loved it too He loves the tracks that he can drive the tractor around and haul the sand and water to different “locations”.

We have had a water table and a sand table but up until now we haven’t had one together. I have to say I am a fan of having them together in one table. Because when we had them separate they ended up together anyway, meaning, Bug would bring sand to the water table and water to the sand table. I like just having them both in one place. A couple things to note: It doesn’t have a drain so if you need to empty the water then you have to scoop it out (not that big of a deal for me, but I wanted to share it). The water/sand mill doesn’t turn very easily. When you pour sand and water in it it is supposed to turn the mill but doesn’t. Bug still enjoys pouring the sand & water down and doesn’t mind that it doesn’t turn. I am hoping it will losen up with time and start turning…And of course realize that it doesn’t come with sand so you will want to buy a bag ahead of time.

Bug has enjoyed many hours of fun with this new table and I know that there are many more to come!

Brag Worthy Summer ~ Joovy ScooterX2 Side by Side Double Stroller Review

Last year I was so lucky to review the Scooter Single Stroller (you can read my Joovy Scooter Stroller review) and I loved that stroller and still use it to this day for Bug. So when I saw that Joovy had come out with the ScooterX2, their new Side by Side Double Stroller, of course I had to have it!

I couldn’t wait to see if I loved this Scooter double stroller as much as the single. I am so happy to report that I definitely do! Let me start by saying that one of the biggest reasons I love the Scooter is because of it’s large basket underneath. So I was so happy to see that the Joovy ScooterX2 Double Stroller also has a large basket underneath (and I mean large). You can easily fit 2 diaper bags under there or one diaper bag and shopping bags. Joovy says “The basket is bigger than any stroller basket on the market, period.” While I haven’t tried out every other stroller on the market, I do know it does have a big basket and having it is so nice. scooterx2_gallery2

Something that I love about this stroller is the independent reclines for each seat. When you are out and about your kids get tired at random times, not usually at the same time. So being able to let one nap while the other sits straight up is so nice. A must have, I believe. The seats recline to 149° so your child can nap comfortably while your out. You can easily recline the seats with just one hand and you can adjust the seats to any position (so many possibilities). scooterx2_recline

Another great thing is that the width of the stroller is just 30 inches, so you don’t have to fold it to fit through a doorway.

My Bug is a pretty tall 3 year old and I love that he can still easily fit under the large canopy (with room to spare). He also fits comfortably in the large seats.

The wheels have sealed bearings making it easy to push (even when you have two kids weighing a combined 90 lbs.). And the double front wheels make it stable which is a must if you have an older child that likes to jump in and out like I have. And in case you don’t want your child jumping in and out their are of course 5 point harnesses and a removable bumper bar.

I am loving the 2 cup holders and two zippered pockets on the back. It’s nice to be able to store keys, cell phones, toys, etc…in those.

Something else I am loving is the one handed fold, it’s really easy and can be done really quickly. It folds flat and can fit into the trunk of my car.

I am loving the Joovy ScooterX2 and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a side by side double stroller!

Brag Worthy Summer ~ Scout Collection by Bungalow 4 Summer Bags Review and Giveaway [CLOSED]

There is one thing I need every time I go out in the summer and that is a good bag. Whether it’s a trip to the grocery store, a trip to the park, pool, etc…you can bet I have a bag or two with me.

Pleasure Chest (ple-zhr chest) n. 1. Yo Matey! It’s the totally tote-a-ble chest for chilled fun. Argh!

This insulated cooler tote is perfect for picnics and trips to the pool. It is large enough I can fit everything I need for an entire lunch inside. It has a zipper pocket in front and a pocket in the back for additional storage.

Laundrylicious n. 1. Store dirty Victoria’s Secrets 2. Fully loaded with shoulder strap to tote it to the laundry room, laundromat, or… mom’s house… 3. Features a loop to hang bag on the wall while you wait for those clean clothes, draw string top, and a small pocket for those quarters.

When we go away on trips I really like to keep our dirty laundry separated from the clean. Until now I put our dirty clothes in a trash bag, but thankfully I now have the Laundrylicious bag to put them in! It is much cuter, and also more effective since it has a draw string and a carrying handle. If your sending a child off to college this is a perfect gift!

I have been using Famous Dave’s Self Tanner for a few weeks now & I am really enjoying it. I can definitely see a big difference when I use it, and my skin is not so pasty white! It doesn’t make my skin really dark, but I have only been applying it every 3-4 days and then I use a cheaper store brand in between those days so I can maintain the color. This is a great sturdy hiking stick, a must have for any hiker. Bug enjoys using it to help him hike as well as move brush and bushes in the hopes to find some creepy crawlers!

This half tent is perfect for setting up in the backyard. It was easy to assemble. I also really like that it can easily be brought inside (easily fits through the doorway when turned sideways). Bug has enjoyed both outdoor and indoor fun with his base camp tent. It can comfortably fit 3 kids, or 1 adult with 1 kid.

I need a little help in the swimsuit department. After 3 kids, my body isn’t what it use to be. The only part I can’t change myself is my chest area, so I need push-up swimwear that will make up for where I am lacking (and now you all know).

I received the Midnight Envy Push Up® Tankini & Adjustable Scoop from Voda Swim and am very happy with it. It’s really cute and makes me feel a lot more confident about myself. I can’t say that it gives me amazing cleavage, but I just don’t have much to work with Winking smile . It does make me look about a cup size bigger and I love that! The swimsuit as a whole, fits well. The top & bottom don’t quite meet, but they are pretty close (and I have a long torso). My second favorite part of the Midnight Envy Push up Tankini, next to adding a cup size, is that it doesn’t have under wires! I get a smooth look and it’s completely comfortable!

Recently my family and I moved from Texas to New York. No longer do I need to flip pillows over to get to the cool side. It really is quite amazing how it works. Just 10 seconds after laying your head down on it, you can feel the coolness. It does such a good job of cooling my whole body. I also use it on my back sometimes while sitting up, and that feels great too and I’m sure it would be helpful for any back pain. I love that you just put a normal pillow case over it, so it’s easy to keep clean. I highly recommend this pillow for anyone looking to stay cool this summer!

Here are some instructions for use of the PolarPillow:

Place the PolarPillow in a standard pillowcase just like a regular pillow.
Make sure the blue/cool side faces up and the white side faces down
Lay your head on the pillow and you will start to feel coolness in 10 seconds (for the endothermic reaction to kick in)
When not in use, avoid placing other pillows on top of the PolarPillow to allow for maximum air exposure

Vegetable Wraps

Ingredients (makes 4 servings):

2/3 cup cream cheese, softened

1 bag of sprouts from Growing Sprouts

1 ½ cups fresh carrots

1 red bell pepper

1 cup cucumber

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup canned or frozen corn (thawed, ifnecessary)

1 cup frozen edamame, thawed

4 flour tortillas

Directions

· Clean and sanitize a counter or table in your kitchen.

· Wash the carrots, pepper, and cucumber.

· Grate the carrots into a bowl.

· Thinly slice the pepper and cucumber and place them in separate bowls.

· Place the corn, edamame, and shredded cheese in separate bowls.

· Place a serving spoon in each bowl.

· Place the cream cheese, bag of sprouts, bowls of vegetables, bowl of cheddar cheese, tortillas, measuring cups, and measuring spoons .

· Spread cream cheese on your tortilla.

· Place vegetables and cheese in a row down the center of your tortilla.

· Top their vegetables with shredded cheese and sprouts.

· Roll up your tortillas as tightly as possible to keep the vegetables inside.

· Use a knife to cut the wraps in half.

I was introduced to Yandy lingerie and costumes last fall when I was able to review one of their sexy Halloween costumes (I was a genie!). I loved the costume and so did everyone at our Halloween party.

I was really excited to recently learn that Yandy also carries a great line of swim suits! I had a hard time choosing a bikini, since there are so many fun and sexy bikinis on their site. Finally after a long time trying to make up my mind I chose this Baja Belted Bikini with triangle top (pictured right). When it arrived I couldn’t wait to try it on and was so happy to see that it fit perfectly. It is made of a great material and looks super sexy on! The white belt really makes the swim suit, it’s so cute. The bottoms are full coverage and that helps me to feel completely comfortable while wearing this suit. And best of all my husband absolutely loves this bikini on me. I am very happy with my Yandy swim suit and will probably be ordering at least one more from them. They have such great prices!

When I came across Popina I immediately fell in love with their Retro Swimwear. I love the look of vintage swim suits, so I was excited to see that you can buy new suits that have the same look. Their Jantzen Swimwear choices are so cute, I love, love love them!

I ultimately chose a bikini to review because they have modest bikinis with full coverage. When my bikini arrived I immediately tried it on and it fits me really well. The colors are bright and vibrant (more so than in the pictures on the website). Also, the fabric is nice and seems like quality that will last. I can’t wait for the pools to open so I can show off my new bikini from Popina!

I was browsing the internet one day in search for a swim suit for this summer. But not just any swim suit. THE swim suit. One that would stand out in a crowd. For years I have been buying the plain and simple suits (that look like everyone else’s) and I figured this was the year to make a change. Considering I have lost a lot of weight, there is not a more perfect time than now.

So as I was browsing I came across The Orchid Boutique. I immediately stopped my search (more like it came to a halt) because I had found the shop where I would get THE swim suit. I was very impressed by the large variety of designer swimwear they have to offer. It is all so beautiful with intricate details and embellishments. It is swim wear that doesn’t just stand out, it turns heads!

Needless to say I was browsing this site for hours because there are so many great choices. How could I choose just one?! I ultimately choose the Rebecca Halter Bikini (pictured left). I chose it for it’s adorable colors and pattern and I love the embellishments along the the ruffle on the top.

When my suit arrived I couldn’t wait to try it on. So I did. I am in heaven! It is exactly what I was looking for. It fits great, it looks great. The material is very comfortable and it is very well made. It is even prettier in person than in the picture (I know what your thinking, is that even possible? Yes it is!).
