My Nutrisystem Journey to a Healthier Me

I am so excited to announce that I have reached my weight loss goal with Nutrisystem! I lost 25 lbs. and I feel and look amazing!  I had to share with you a couple before and after images so you can see just how much losing that 25 lbs. changed the way I look! (As you know I don’t show pics of Bug, for his safety so that is why he is blacked out).

As you can see it is a big change!  I look so much younger now than I did before!   And my looks aren’t the only thing that have changed.  I feel great!  I have so much more energy and my self esteem is through the roof.

How did I lose the weight?  By sticking to the Nutrisystem diet and good old fashioned exercise.  I exercise at least 5 times a week for at least 30 minutes, sometimes more.  I honestly felt hopeless and felt like I would be overweight for the rest of my life.  Getting on the Nutrisystem diet was the best thing I ever did for myself.  I realized it was very possible and I lost the weight!

Since being on the Nutrisystem diet I have found myself making healthier choices when it comes to eating.  It has really taught me portions and what foods are good and what foods are not.  I eat fresh fruits and veggies now thanks to Nutrisystem, something I wasn’t doing before.

I am so happy with the new and healthier me!  I hope that I can inspire other moms and women to take control of their weight and realize that change is possible!

An Inspiring Nutrisystem Success Story

 

Working mom of 3 loses baby weight (again) on Nutrisystem

My first child was born in 2006, after which I gave myself about nine months to get the weight off. And once it stopped coming off on its own, I decided to call Nutrisystem. Why Nutrisystem? Well, I had seen various ads on the Internet, on TV and in print, and it looked like everyone was having really good results with it.

But the main reason I chose Nutrisystem was for the convenience of the prepackaged meals and the meal plan, which helped me decide what to eat every day. I don’t have time to concentrate that hard on what I’m eating or to worry about counting calories, and with Nutrisystem it was all defined for me what I would eat and when. And I had never been one to diet, so it was important for me to learn the right choices to make, and what constitutes a healthy lifestyle. I wanted to avoid the yo-yo of dieting and fasting, and I was glad that I didn’t have to weigh in somewhere.

Honestly, at the time I was a little hesitant about ordering packaged food, but it was much better than my expectations. I thought it was very good! Add that taste to the convenience, and the program worked for me. I lost 25 lbs.* on Nutrisystem back then. I also wanted to use Nutrisystem after my second child, but I got pregnant again so close after my second child I didn’t even have time to call Nutrisystem.

Flash forward
Which brings me back to today. I’m now a mother of three kids, all under the age of five. I’ve been married for nine years and I have a full-time job that keeps me busy in addition to the kids. After giving birth to my third child, I decided to call Nutrisystem again to lose the extra baby weight.

The first thing I noticed was that the foods were better than ever. I gravitated toward the chocolate bar first, and I was surprised by the quantity of chocolate in the bar; it was not skimpy at all. (Actually, I thought all of the chocolate I tried was very delicious.) And I loved the ice cream! It’s light but very fulfilling at the same time. The ice cream bar in particular was very good. In short, Nutrisystem doesn’t taste like “diet food” at all. It’s just like ordinary food I would like to eat any day of the week—but it kept me full.

For me, the best thing about Nutrisystem is that you don’t have to do any upfront planning. As I mentioned earlier, I’m not only a mother of three, but I work full-time as well, so for me it’s definitely convenient being able to throw things in my bag. If I have to run the kids somewhere, or if I’m on my 30-minute lunch break at work, it’s just the right amount of time to get my Nutrisystem meal in. I can just bring them with me in my bag if we go on the road.

Speaking of eating on the go, with three kids you can definitely guarantee that we do visit fast food restaurants occasionally. And if I had no choice but to eat there, then I would choose a healthy salad while I’m out and then complement it with my Nutrisystem entrée whenever I return home. And if I did bring Nutrisystem with me I’d just open it up right there in the restaurant while everyone else was eating their food. Sure, other people might look around as if to ask, What is she eating? But so what? What matters to me is being happy and healthy.

Plus, with a growing family what’s important to me is that it’s easier to fix my family the same thing that I’m eating, so I enjoyed being able to purchase Nutrisystem items that were comparable to the foods I make at home already. It’s also important to me that the food is healthy. I want to be a good example for my family, and especially my little kids, so they can see the success mom has had (20 lbs.* lost!) and see that I am a good role model for them. And because Nutrisystem gave me the ability to make smart and healthy decisions about food and exercise, I can. In fact, with the information that I learned (especially about good carbs), I was able to educate my mother and sisters about healthy eating, too!

Fit, energetic and confident
I definitely look and feel better after using Nutrisystem again to lose weight. I’ve also gotten a lot of positive feedback from those around me, including my husband. And it’s nice to be able to buy new clothes and fit back into old clothes—in fact, I held on to an old pair of jeans and they are too big for me now! I haven’t been this thin since high school or early college; it’s been a long time since I’ve been this size—and I’m enjoying every minute of it! Plus, I’ve found that I have a lot more energy after slimming down to this size. And having more energy for my kids is very important to me; now I can get down with them and play on their level every day, which makes me feel great as a mom.

Overall, I think my confidence has benefitted the most. After having three kids within four years, I didn’t think that I could ever feel this good about myself again. Actually, I don’t think I ever felt this good about myself before. I’m ready to get out there and show my confidence and my happiness! I am very happy with where I am, thanks (again) to Nutrisystem.

A Summer to Savor ~ 5 Ways to Enjoy the Taste of the Season

 

“Memorial Day has come around again, and that means an unofficial start to the summer season of 2011. Of course, it also signals the start to a season of dangerous eating. From boardwalk fries to funnel cakes to all of those char-grilled items that come off the barbecue, Memorial Day helps to usher in all of them. And sadly, many of them can do a great disservice to your weight loss program.

But just because you’re trying to lose weight doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice those delicious summer treats! We’ve got 5 helpful tips that will allow you to enjoy all of your favorite foods responsibly. Remember: summer doesn’t have to be cruel on your weight loss program!

1. Hot Dog—Hamburgers!
It doesn’t get any better than this—hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill. So why not go ahead and heat your Nutrisystem® Turkey Hot Dog over the flames? And don’t forget to serve it with mustard and a grilled onion (or the Nutrisystem-approved condiment of your choice)! As for burgers, you can prepare your Nutrisystem® Flame Broiled Beef Patty as usual, too, and then put it on the grill for a minute or so—just long enough for it to get a little of that char-grilled flavor. It’s also great with a little fat-free Thousand Island dressing, a slice of tomato and lettuce. Add a slice of fat-free cheese, and you’ve sacrificed nothing. And don’t let the buns throw you off—just grab the whole-grain kind and you’re all set!

2. Fowl It Up
For a different twist, don’t be afraid to take along a tasty Nutrisystem® Grilled Chicken Breast to your next picnic or barbecue. They’re particularly great if there’s a grill on hand, and you don’t even need to keep them in a cooler prior to eating. Just throw them in your picnic basket and you’re good to go!

3. Veg Out!
There’s nothing more delicious than fresh, grilled vegetables. So how about grilling your corn on the cob? You can have about half an ear as a carbohydrate serving, and maybe, instead of just salting it, try something creative—squeeze a little lime juice over it once it’s cooked, then sprinkle it with a Mexican seasoning. Or mix up a little olive oil, lemon juice and garlic, and brush the mixture on the hot corn.
Not feeling corny? Not a problem. How about grilled asparagus? Before you go, just wash it and break off the tough ends, then put it in a long dish. Marinate it in some lemon juice and some lemon zest for about an hour before putting it on the grill. It’s fabulous!

4. Salute the Fruit
Fruit is a great addition to any picnic, and the perfect way to stay on track while enjoying the season’s festivities. You could enjoy your fruit serving by joining in the good, old-fashioned picnic fun of a carved watermelon (watch your portion size, though (1-1/4 cup) because it’s a higher-sugar fruit and not low-glycemic). Or how about something a little different—make fruit kebobs for grilling! Just skewer a cube of honeydew, another of cantaloupe, a small section of banana, and two cubes of pineapple to make an awesome fruit serving. Let them grill, turning frequently, until the fruit becomes slightly browned. You’ll love it!

5. Don’t Desert Dessert!
Just because you’re on program doesn’t mean you have to miss out on the dessert front. Even if everyone else at your barbeque is diving into the homemade goodies, rest assured you’re staying right on track by taking along one of your favorite Nutrisystem® desserts or snacks. Incorporating My Nutrisystem Diet into a Busy Day

I am loving the warmer weather!  Oh how I have missed the sun!  With the weather warming up it means we get out a lot more.  My 3 year old Bug is a very active boy (like most boys I’m sure) so we take frequent trips to the park, the pool, the zoo, etc…So being on a diet could be a little bit tricky.  But Nutrisystem has great on the go food options.  I love that I can grab a muffin and a banana and head out the door in the morning and I can pack a bar and some veggie for lunch and I am set.  I love that Nutrisystem makes it easy to stay on their weight loss plan no matter what kind of busy day life throws at you!

Yummy Nutrisystem Diet Food Recipes: Chicken Salad Stuffed Apple & Citrus-Glazed Carrots

 

Being on any diet you can start to feel deprived.  Not just deprived of certain foods but I actually feel sad that I’m not cooking.  Isn’t that silly?  I just want to feel like I am cooking from time to time.  I love that the Nutrisystem website has a recipe section full of great recipes you can use while on your diet.  For example I found these two recipes for a Chicken Salad Stuffed Apple & Citrus-Glazed Carrots (see below).  I made the carrots last night and they were really good, I am planning on making the Chicken Salad Stuffed Apple tomorrow for lunch :)   It is really nice to mix things up and try new ways to eat while on the Nutrisystem Diet.

 

Chicken Salad Stuffed Apple

The flavor and crisp texture of celery, red pepper and jicama, along with a mix of herbs and a bright burst of fresh lemon give the Nutrisystem® Chicken Salad lunch entrée a new level of sophistication. If you prefer, you can substitute 1 tbsp. finely chopped red onion for the green onion. If you’re not eating this salad immediately, toss the sliced apples with ½ tsp. of fresh lemon juice plus ½ cup water to prevent discoloration. Just be sure to drain the apples of any excess water before serving.

Ingredients

1 Nutrisystem® Chicken Salad lunch entrée
2 entire stalks green onion, diced
2 small stalks celery, diced
3 tbsp. red bell pepper, diced
3 tbsp. jicama, optional, diced
1 tbsp. Hellman’s reduced fat mayonnaise
1/4 tsp. mustard powder
1/4 tsp. ginger powder
1/4 tsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. fresh cracked black pepper
1 small apple
3 to 5 small Crackers*
1 oz. low-fat cheese, thinly sliced

Directions

1. Slice open 1 pouch of Nutrisystem® Chicken Salad scraping contents into small bowl.
2. Add onion, celery, red bell pepper mixing well to blend.
3. Add jicama if desired.
4. Combine mayonnaise, mustard powder, ginger powder, lemon juice, and pepper in small bowl, and whisk to blend.
5. Slice apple in half, removing the core in one-half of the apple, creating a larger cavity to then fill with chicken salad.
6. Slice the remaining apple piece in half. Dice one of these halves and add to the chicken mixture. Slice the other half and set aside.
7. Combine salad dressing mixture with the chicken salad and diced apples. Toss to blend.
8. Place the crackers on plate and top with sliced cheese pieces and remaining apple slices.
9. Serve immediately.
Serving Suggestions and Variations
*We are substituting the small whole grain roll on the Nutrisystem Chicken Salad pouch with crackers. Crackers should be the equivalent of 100 calories and whole-grain.

Citrus-Glazed Carrots

This colorful dish is really easy to make, although it does take a little while to prepare. The combination of lemon and oranges bring out the natural sweetness of the carrots, and the fresh rosemary adds a gourmet touch. You can pair the carrots with any of the Nutrisystem® dinner entrees, and as a bonus: this is a vegetable the kids are going to love!

Ingredients

2 cups orange juice, fresh-squeezed preferred
2 tbsp. lemon juice, fresh-squeezed
4 cups Colorful Harvest Rainbow Crunch Carrots™ or any variety of baby carrots
3 tbsp. fresh rosemary, whole needle

Directions

1. Pour orange juice and lemon juice into a small, non-metallic bowl.
2. Bring juice to boil over medium heat.
3. Lower heat to a summer, and reduce juice by half to two-third, or until a thick syrup forms, approximately 20 minutes. (Wisk frequently and check mix often, so juice doesn’t evaporate from the pan or burn.
4.Place the carrots in a microwave-safe bowl, add 3 tbsp. water, and cover with plastic wrap.
5. Cook carrots in the microwave for 4 to 5 minutes.
6. Drain the carrots and pat them dry.
7. Transfer the carrots to a small skillet.
8. Drizzle them with the citrus syrup, then simmer them gently over medium low heat, tossing carrots frequently in the syrup to coat.
9. Cook until the carrots are fork tender, or until desired texture is reached.
10. Remove from the heat and stir in rosemary.
11. Cover and allow carrots to stand in the syrup for 10 to 12 minutes. Serve hot.
(Yields 4 servings)

My Tips for Sticking to Your Diet Plan

So I have been on the Nutrisystem Diet for a while now.  I have been having really great results and have lost 21 lbs so far!  Yay Me!  It is great to have this new body and to feel so amazing.  But dieting isn’t always easy, so I wanted to share some of my tips for sticking to your diet:

1. Don’t Give Up, No Matter What Happens- I will be the first to admit that it hasn’t been a completely smooth road. I don’t think a smooth road is possible on any diet (unless you have super human self control!, LOL).  I have had moments of weakness which are always followed by regret.  But I just move forward and try to do better the next time.  Dwelling on mistakes will only cause you to give up and think you can’t do it.  You have to get right back on the diet, no excuses! Even if you slipped and ate something you shouldn’t have.

2. Drink a Ton of Water- It is so important to stay hydrated just to keep your body healthy.  When your dieting drinking a lot of water will help you to feel full.  In fact when I feel hungry I make myself drink a full 8 oz. glass of water, then wait 10 minutes.  Then if I am still hungry I will eat a snack or meal (sticking to my Nutrisystem plan of course).

3. Exercise- If you want your diet to give you good results then you will need to be exercising.  You don’t have to go to the gym for 2 hours or anything.  Just start out by going on a long walk, then slowly increase the length and your speed during the walk.  I personally enjoy the at home work out dvd’s to get my exercise.  I really love all of the Gillian Michaels (Biggest Loser Trainer) videos, they really kick my butt and I have seen amazing results with my body firming and toning up.  Basically just get up and move, it doesn’t matter what you choose, just Move!

4. Allow Yourself to Indulge- Now this doesn’t work for everyone, but for me it has been a heaven send.  I allow myself 1 cheat meal every 2 weeks.  Yep I go out to dinner with my hubby and eat what I want.  But you have to be on your diet for 2 whole weeks first.  I have found even when I go out for this cheat meal I don’t go to crazy. One-Because my stomach is small from the normal size portions on Nutrisystem (so I just don’t have the room).  And Two- The bad foods just no longer appeal to me after dieting.  I work so hard for 2 weeks and that makes me realize that the bad foods just aren’t worth it.

5. The One Bite Rule-So dieting while your family isn’t is really hard.  Especially when the hubby brings home a big cheesy pizza, ahhhhhh!!! Not cool right?!  So I have a one bite rule.  If I want to taste that pizza, I can have one bite.  A Small Bite.  And just one.  I find that this satisfies me and I can move on and forget about it.  I don’t do this very often, but one bite is better than a whole peice (or two or three!).

6. Mind Over Matter- My biggest struggle with dieting comes from my mind.  I think “I’m being starved, deprived, I’m hungry”.  Because as humans, the moment we are told we can’t have something, it makes us want it that much more.  So when I find myself thinking these thoughts I immediately counter them with “I am not starving to death, I am fine, I don’t need

7. Take Pictures- Before I started my diet I took before pictures.  Then as I progress, about every two to three weeks, I take pictures again.  Then I compare them side by side.  This is so helpful since your body changes very slowly and the changes are suttle.  Especially to you since you are seeing yourself everyday.  When you stop and compare the before pictures against the new pictures you will see how much your body is actually changing.  There were times I would say “I don’t think anything is happening” but then I would look at my pictures and see that I really was changing! This keeps me very motivated to continue on.

With Easter almost here I wanted to share an article by Nutrisystem about surviving the holidays without completely ruining everything you are working on in your diet.  There is a way to enjoy the holidays with family without ending up gorging yourself and having a ton of guilt the next day!

8 Diet-friendly Strategies for Staying On Track During The Holidays
The holiday season is a dreaded time for many people on a weight loss program, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Here are seven easy ways you can enjoy the celebration days without feeling punished or sacrificing your Nutrisystem progress.

1. Have a plan.  Think things through before you get to the actual holiday meals and parties. Maybe your strategy is to take tiny portions of different dishes; that’s okay. If you’re cooking, you might want to have your bottle of water with you in the kitchen, so you’re less tempted to snack. Do what you can to stay away from the appetizer table. Plan to avoid anything that’s not homemade. The point is that if you go in with a plan, you’ll be less likely to get caught off-guard.

2. Stay on track. Holidays are not the time to skip meals in an attempt to “bank” calories. That’s a strategy that can backfire miserably. Instead, eat everything on your meal plan leading up to the holiday event, and make sure you’re drinking all your water. You’ll be less likely to overindulge at the big event.

3. Set a goal. There’s something about holidays that makes people forget what they do the rest of the year. Do you already have weight loss goals set up for November, December and January? If not you can start today. Once you’ve set a short-term goal, decide on a way to reward yourself once the goal has been reached.

4. Drink smart. Face it, overindulging during holiday events—whether it’s an office party, a family gathering or a neighborhood open house—can add a lot of extra calories to your day. In addition, when you’ve had too much to drink, it tends to weaken your previous resolve and derail any strategies and plans you might have had. Besides, you don’t want to end up as that karaoke-singing family member or neighbor everyone will be talking about for the next month.

5. Trim the calories.  This tip is especially useful if you happen to be the primary cook for an event. In baked items, replace the fat with an equal amount of applesauce and the sugar with a sugar substitute; substitute a quarter cup of egg substitute for every egg called for in the recipe; replace whole milk with 1% milk and sour cream with yogurt; reduce the amount of nuts called for by half. And don’t forget both veggies and salad.

6. Enlist support. Trying to maintain your Nutrisystem program can be hard at the holidays, but there’s no reason you have to go it alone. Ask for your family’s understanding or even their help, so nobody’s trying to foist “seconds” on you. Nutrisystem counselors can help you strategize, based on your individual circumstances. Or you can go to the Nutrisystem Discussion Boards, where you’ll find people who definitely understand what you’re trying to do. Discuss your concerns; share tips of your own, or join one of the many weight loss challenges. Some of them are specifically geared to the holidays. Introduce yourself well before the event, so you have that support already in place.

7. Keep moving. Instead of just sitting around after dinner, suggest a family walk, or organize a touch-football game. Most people will be grateful for the chance to move around, and it can keep you on-track with your exercise plan.

8. Embrace the spirit.  This last tip may just be the most important: You can get so caught up in all the planning and hoopla that you lose the whole meaning of the holiday season—coming together with friends and loved ones. It’s the time that’s really valuable, not the food and drink.

Remember, it’s Quality not Quantity
If you do plan to indulge in some of the traditional holiday foods, please use these portions as a guideline:
Turkey—3 oz. white meat, no skin (about the size of a deck of cards)
Mashed potatoes—1/3 cup (about the size of half of a baseball)
Gravy—1 Tbsp. (just drizzle it)
Relish made with sugar—1 Tbsp.
Stuffing—2 Tbsp.
Dinner Roll—if not homemade, skip it
Pie—1/12 of a 9” pie

So Much More Than Weight Loss…#NSNation

I never imagined that losing weight on the Nutrisystem diet would change so much more than my appearance.

I knew that being on the Nutrisystem diet and exercising would help me to lose the extra weight I was carrying around but I didn’t expect the mental changes that have come.  I feel much more confident now that my body is sliming down,  But even more than that I feel in control of my body.  I feel like no matter what craziness is happening in my life, I now have control over what I choose to put into my body and how I choose to take care of my body.

Each day when I exercise (I exercise 6 days a week), I feel better and I have a better day.  It makes me feel strong, and my body feels really good.  On my rest day each week I kinda feel lazy :)   Silly I know, but I do.

I won’t lie, dieting can be challenging.  It is a daily battle.  I have to choose each day to stay strong as I am cooking dinner for Bug (and it smells great!) or when I see a commercial on TV for one of my favorite restaurants (and all I want to do is hop in the car and go eat there). I have to remember my goals and that the sacrifice is completely worth it.

I am in such a great place right now feeling strong and confident and it just keeps getting better.  I am excited for summer to come and I will be able to be active with Bug.  We can go hiking, and running, and I will actually be able to keep up with him.

Did You Know It’s National Nutritional Month?

 

With March being National Nutritional Month, I have been thinking about how important it is for us to get our bodies healthy. I am loving my journey to a healthier me with Nutrisystem.  The program has not only helped me to lose weight and get in shape, but it has also taught me to eat right.  I have learned what a proper portion is and to add in fresh fruits and veggies.  These are things I will keep with me even after I am off the diet and will help me to stay healthy.nutrisystem125x125_thumb

Take the Easy Road to Weight Loss & National Nutrition Month

As you may already know, we have enlisted the expertise of five outstanding star chefs through our newly-formed Culinary Council.  We’ve challenged these chefs to help us develop 5 star quality meals with very minimal use of salt, butter, sugar or any of those other palate-pleasing but weight-inducing ingredients. Impossible you say? Hardly, for this group. I had the opportunity to spend a few days in Dallas, Texas last week working on recipes with them (and by working, I mean, they worked, I ate) and I’m so excited for you all to try the amazing meals they’ve created. Besides the great food, I also received great advice which went something like this- in order to really succeed and be extraordinary at something, you need to recognize what you’re naturally good at, put all of your efforts into that and forget about trying to be good at all the other stuff; in the end, you’ll be more successful without having to work so hard.

Work less and be more successful? Well that just sounds fantastic!  I started to think of some of the goals that I have set for myself that, despite putting a good amount of effort into, I haven’t been accomplishing. Maybe this wasn’t because I haven’t been committed enough as I’ve previously thought, maybe instead it’s that I set myself up to fail because I hadn’t picked a goal that fits me, my life and my strengths.

This month is National Nutrition Month. Why not start the month off by evaluating some of the health and weight loss goals you have made for yourself that you are struggling to achieve. Do they realistically fit you? Is there some way you can leverage your strengths to make them easier to achieve?

I’ll leave you with a few ideas to get you started:

-       If you are a naturally social person – don’t swear off dining out or get-togethers with friends just to avoid temptation; instead put your host/hostess skills to the test, invite guests to your house, you can control the menu and snacks to be sure you’re able to stay on track.

-     If you are a naturally strong team player – don’t set a goal to increase your physical activity by committing yourself to daily solo runs, join a sports club in  your area, you’ll be less likely to skip when you know your team is counting on you.

-     If you are a naturally strong cook – don’t make a goal to stick to eating the same thing every day (i.e. salads every day for lunch), instead use your culinary know how to get creative with your meals and grocery food additions. You can find some great inspiration in our recipe center.

As you think of more ideas, share them with the community, you may help someone else find an easier road to achieving their goals!

My Typical Day on the Nutrisystem Diet

As you know I have been on the Nutrisystem Diet for a while now and I am loving my results.  I have lost 15 lbs. total so far and I am feeling great.  So I thought I would share with you a typical day for me on the Nutrisystem diet.

If your not familiar with the Nutrisystem program, then you may not realize that along with the food they send to you (breakfast, lunch, dinner & dessert) you also add in fresh groceries for your fruits, veggies, dairy and protein.  I love this because fresh fruits and veggies are the best!

Breakfast-

I eat a chocolate muffin, a small 6” banana & an 8 oz. glass of skim milk.

Lunch-

I eat a Peanut Butter & Jelly Bar, a scrambled egg, & carrot and celery sticks.

Snack-

I eat a small bowl of non fat cottage cheese with sliced peaches.

Dinner-

I eat an Italian Herb Flatbread Pizza, brocolli, squash & an apple.

You need to get in a serving of good fat, so I eat a small scoop of peanut butter.

So as you can see it is a lot of food I am eating.  It actually ends up being more food than I normally would eat.  But it is all healthy.  I never feel hungry since I am eating every few hours all day.

My Journey to Self Love

With Valentine’s Day being this past Monday, it has had me thinking a lot about love.  Not just about the love I have for others but about the love I have for myself.

Before I started the Nutrisystem diet I was overweight and I wasn’t taking care of my body.  I wasn’t eating healthy or excersizing.  Two things that my body really needs me to do for it.  This was not only taking it’s tole on me physically but also emotionally.  I found myself not wanting to go out with friends or any social gathering, because I didn’t feel good about my appearance.

I started the Nutrisystem diet and began a regular excersize routine.  I immediately started to feel better about myself.  I think it was just because I knew I was taking control of my health and making a change in my body.

Once I started to see a change in my body and began to lose weight I started feeling better and better.  While I still have more weight to lose, I am so filled with confidence right now!  I am loving this feeling, I can’t wait for the next time I get to go out and be social with friends.  I feel like I am finally loving myself and loving being in my own skin again.

Delicious Dinner’s While Dieting, Can it Be True?

 

The answer is yes!  Nutrisystem has great dinner’s, take it from me I have tried almost all of them.  I absolutely love the fresh frozen gourmet dinner’s, in fact they are all super yummy. 

My favorites from the fresh/frozen gourmet dinner’s are:

Turkey Pepperoni Pizza: It is so good, makes me feel like I’m not dieting.  It has the perfect combination of soft and crunchiness in the crust and I just can’t get enough of it.

I also really love the Salisbury Steak with Macaroni & Cheese:  This is great comfort food (which is so nice to have while on a diet).  The gravy on the steak is delicious and it all makes me feel really full.

Yummy Lunches on the Nutrisystem Diet

 

Let’s talk about lunch on Nutrisystem!

I absolutely love the Fudge Graham Bar, it is so delicious, and reminds me of eating a s’more.  I love that this is a fast easy lunch I can grab when I am on the go or when I am really busy with blogging.

Another item I love is the Steak and Cheese Melt.  This yummy little pocket is filled with delicious flavor.  I really enjoy eating this and it also makes me feel like I’m not on a diet.

New to the Nutrisystem fresh/frozen gourmet lunches are the Roasted Vegetable Pizza and the Margherita Pizza.  I can’t wait to try these as I’m sure they are very good (cause the dinner Turkey Pepperoni Pizza is so yum yum yummy!) I will be getting these in my next order so I will let you know.
