I received these products for my review. All opinions are my own.

Our Gooshy Table is a collapsible activity table! We also carry several themed play kits for children of all ages. Created by a teacher turned mom!

I love teaching. I don’t do it in the, spend approx. 3,593,928 hours at school planning and cleaning, and prepping and smiling kind of way anymore, but I have become the teacher to two tiny little humans that I carried around with me for 9 months instead. I’ve decided to harness my wild parenting emotions and share something I’m passionate about – education, and more specifically, sensory play. My husband made our first sensory table because my daughter loved playing with water, dirt and all things “Gooshy” (a term given to those types of activities by my brother). I would offer the table when I felt like I needed to spice up my days or if the weather was bad. My daughter would have tea parties and play with colored water in the bin while I fed the baby or folded laundry, but then she started asking to use her Gooshy Table more and more, sending me to research for more sensory activities for us to do the following day. This table was such a hit at our house, we began making and giving them as gifts at birthday parties, and the kids and parents loved them too! So it got me thinking about more widely sharing the Gooshy Table through Etsy.

I liked this specific model of table because it was easy to use – to store and put together. I thought it could be a nice tool to have in the house on those rainy or snowy days, or as something to distract your kid while you finish putting the dishes away. But when I really thought about it, I realized that the Gooshy Table could be way more than that. Sometimes it’s easy to come up with awesome activities for your kid to do because they actually slept through the night and you got to drink your coffee hot in the morning (for once!) and you saw this one thing on Pintrest. But maybe you are like me, and some days just getting the kids out of their jammies is a challenge. But I’ve had to admit to myself that, yes even though I’m a teacher by trade, I’m still a human mother of two young kids and it’s really hard to get it together all the time.

Collapsible Kid’s Activity Table – Gooshy Table

If you walk into any high quality childcare center, preschool or kindergarten you’ll find a sensory table, and now you can have one of your very own! Read on to find out how to order your new “Gooshy Table”, then hop online and search for sensory activities to do with your young child.

The reason parents see sensory centers in preschools and the reason kids go bananas for them is because learning through the senses is how children are wired, and not just the young child. If you have an older sibling in the house, I bet he or she will be right next to your little one with new vocabulary and ideas to enhance the activities you choose to do. Even I can be caught at the sensory table in my daughter’s preschool, staring off into the distance, dumping a handful of rice through a funnel!

* Table base is made from PVC piping and includes a 28 qt (7 gallon) bin with fitted lid.

** The dimensions are (L)24in x (W)17.5in x (H)21in. We can customize the height of the table for a small additional fee. Please leave the height you’d like in the comment section when purchasing. I’d suggest measuring your child from the shoulders to the floor.

*** Table base breaks down to completely fit inside the bin for easy storage!

This can be used as a water table, sand table, or sensory table using any materials you can dream up!

Great for teachers and parents working with smaller spaces

Awesome learning tool for children of all ages

Thoughtful gift for your child’s grandparent – very easy to store when the grandkids go back to Mom and Dad!

My hope is to bring excitement and wonder into your child’s daily routine through sensory play, and also make life a little easier and less stressful for you!

I am a mom and a home childcare provider, so finding educational and entertaining activities is a huge part of my life. I am a very firm believer in the importance of play, and see my role as providing the right resources and loose daily structure that creates an environment filled with play.

As soon as I saw this Gooshy Table from Teacher Turned Mom Etsy Shop, I knew I had to have it. Sensory tables are so amazing, but we don’t have an overflow of space, and I needed something like her table that has the ability to break down and store easily.

I couldn’t wait for it to arrive, and I was not disappointed at all! All the PVC pipes fit within the plastic tub. Pure genius. It is quite simple to put together, and Michelle from Teacher Turned Mom has a great video on her Etsy shop with step-by-step instructions.

It’s simple yet amazing- perfect for basically every family, no matter how little space you have! And the sensory bin ideas are endless- just take a quick search on Pinterest and you’ll be amazed. Hours of entertainment, all while being educational. Children learn through hands-on experiences.

Michelle even has Sensory Play Kits available in her Etsy shop- they are AWESOME! Everything you need for a full sensory experience all in one place. She sent me her Construction Kit, which was perfect for one of the little guys I watch- he is obsessed with all things construction and truck! I LOVE that the kit comes with a full lesson plan! You can definitely tell Michelle was a teacher! =) But it is a great tool for anyone to help expand upon the learning their child is experiencing.

I’m telling you, hours and hours of fun. I left the whole table outside, even in the rain, and it stayed dry and was ready as ever to play! Even my older boys have been playing in there! Their imaginations are able to run wild and it just brings me joy whenever I see a child playing hard, especially because of a tool I provided for them! I wholeheartedly recommend purchasing a Gooshy Table from Teacher Turned Mom! You won’t regret it!
