I received these products for my review. All opinions are my own.
BJ was an avid belt user and became obsessed with trying to find the perfect belt. After wearing dozens of various belts, he came to the conclusion that most belts have some major drawbacks. They are bulky, ugly and uncomfortable. He decided to design a completely new belt concept. A belt with no holes, no belt flap and completely low profile. He showed it to his friend David who instantly fell in love with the belt
A belt is a great choice for a gift when holiday season shopping.
Over time the belts got better and people continued to ask for more. BJ, David and his little brother Winslow decided they wanted to start a business and Kickstarter was a perfect opportunity to test the market for something like a new minimalist belt. In the summer of 2014, the Kickstarter campaign was launched and to their great surprise, the belt raised over $100K and they had a lot of work to do.
We started Grip6 not just to create great new products, but also to control the way it’s made. We have grown tired of the low quality products cluttering our lives from over seas. Our goal is to produce products that last for decades, not days. We don’t come from a business background and we don’t do things the traditional way.
We’ve been called control freaks and maybe it’s an accurate description. We do almost everything ourselves because we can usually do a better job and do it more efficiently than when we hand it off to someone else. We design and build the machines that manufacture our products. This kind of control helps us continually improve our products and our efficiency.
So I’m going to be honest with you… I hate belts. Like, I haven’t worn a belt since high school when we wore them mainly for fashion purposes. Now, that doesn’t mean my pants don’t fall down. They do. I normally just suffer through the pain of hiking them up every few minutes. And while that is annoying to me, I’m sure the visual I am giving others is even worse than that, or how I’m not doing my body any services by having my pants fall down too low so that my belly is sticking out. (Can I still blame my oversized belly it on my 6 and 7 year old?)
Why do you hate belts, you ask. Because they’re usually so bulky. And I always seemed to be inbetween a loop hole, so either the belt was still too loose, or too tight and gave me that oh so lovely muffin top.
So, naturally, when I discovered Grip6 belts, I was very excited to give them a try. A minimalist belt? Sounds right up my alley…
No holes or flaps, very lightweight, slim, sleek, and easy to use. What more could a belt-hater want out of a belt? I love the simple and modern design. Perfect for men’s work attire- not too flashy but still stylish. Great for women too, especially ones like me who just want the belt to keep my pants up but not be seen at all.
These are very high quality belts that I know will last a long time- I’m definitely going to keep them around for when my boys grow up- some day their pants are going to stop having that inner belt I always ensure their pants have… Mostly because I’ve never wanted them to have to fool around with loops and holes and doing and undoing belts- boys don’t head to the bathroom until it’s almost too late as it is!
So here’s me with it on- lets all just pretend that I’m not sucking in my stomach and not breathing while taking this photos, mmmk… =)
I love it! Look how slim it is! And my FAVORITE part is that you pull the belt through the buckle hole and can easily adjust it to the perfect length. AMEN! Once the belt is set, it doesn’t shift either, which is very important- no one wants to be readjusting all day long.
I am a HUGE Grip6 Belts fan, and I know you will be too! Get a jump start on the holiday season shopping and stocking stuffers- these are perfect for anyone!

How amazing is this belt?! I have issues with holes in my shirts from wearing belts and this seems that it wouldn’t be able to cause them. The materials look to be of high grade and built to withstand the wear and tear of everyday usage. I like the neutral tones of the belts themselves and the neutral tones for the buckles, as well as the more vibrant colors because sometimes you just want a pop of color. Love the teal!

I have one Grip6 already and really like it. I talked with a customer support representative for quite a while before deciding to buy. He was very helpful and informative about the history of the company and some ideas for the future. That kind of genuine aid and interest in the customer is rare.

I’ve the black, purple, and gunmetal buckles with the black and khaki straps. I love them all. For those of you a bit fuller in the belly as am I, the Grip6 doesn’t leave a pressure sore on the underside of your stomach as traditional buckles will often do. It may not seem like much of an issue, but I challenge you to go back to a traditional belt for a couple of days after a week of Grip6. You won’t realize how great life w/o pain is, until the pain is gone.
Orange buckle and brown strap please. Fall is upon us.
