It usually takes quite a bit of time for me to make a photo book since I like to have everything perfect before I order. That is why I decided to make a Photo Calendar at VioVio. I figured it would be quicker and also, I have wanted to get a photo calendar for a long time so I figured now was that time!

My calendar really was very quick to make. All I had to do was upload the photos that I wanted (luckily we just had family pictures taken in October so I had the perfect photos to include!) and add them to the free 2012 calendar template. You can also purchase pre-made templates that other users have uploaded, but I chose to just go with the free one. Once my photos were uploaded, the process took about 10 minutes. I was really excited when my calendar arrived. It looked great, my photos were all in the correct place, and I am very happy with the results. Now I get to see my cute family on my kitchen wall instead of random pictures of trees and birds (you know…that come on most of the free calendars you receive in the mail Winking smile ). The only thing I would change is to add holidays to the calendar but it’s not a huge deal. VioVio makes it so easy to share your photos in several different ways!

To be honest with you, I wasn’t quite sure what I would do with a fountain from Kinetic Fountains. It only took me a few minutes to look through their website to realize that I had use for one after all!! In fact, after going through their HUGE selection of fountains (of every kind), I found several that I could see in my future Smile .

I received the Stacked Rocks Tabletop Fountain from Kinetic Fountains and I have plans to give it as a thank you gift. I think it will look great in an office and create a nice calming atmosphere for everyone that sees (and hears) it. There were several other tabletop fountains that would be a great gift for anyone with an office….at home or at work!

I have to say, my all time favorite fountains were the Logo Fountains. In a few years, my husband may own his own dental practice and I totally see one of these fountains in his waiting room!! Heaven knows that dental patients need something to calm them before sitting in the dental chair right? What better way to do it than to use the soothing sound of flowing water!! Plus they look so professional. If I have a say in the office décor, we will definitely be getting a Wall Fountain!!

Brag Worthy Christmas ~ Mark-My-Time Digital Bookmarks & Booklights Review and Giveaway (6 winners) [CLOSED]

Both my girls love books! They love to take a pile of books to bed every night and they will spend a good hour or two reading (or looking at the pictures in the case of my 4 year old). Usually I have to go upstairs and tell them that it’s time to put the books away and actually SLEEP. Now that we have the Mark-My-Time Digital Bookmark & Booklight, I don’t have to worry so much. Now that Q is in first grade, we have started getting more serious about reading. It’s also ideal for timing music practice sessions, timed math fact activities, meetings, homework study sessions, cooking and interval training when exercising. I think it would be great for chores too. My girls usually take their time doing ANYTHING so if I give them a set time to get things done, maybe it would help them a little!

If you have kids in school then you know that they generally have an assigned amount of reading time they need to complete each week. Unless you have lucked out then you probably also know that it can sometimes be hard to get them to do it I was thrilled when I came across Mark My Time. I like having two because we keep the bookmark with reading timer downstairs for when C is reading down there and he has the bookmark timer with the booklight up in his room. I love that he can easily know how long he has been reading and the booklight even shuts of when his reading time is up. It is a great tool for helping your kids to monitor their reading time.

My little brother is a fish. He swims everyday and loves being in the water. when I saw the Video Swim Mask on the Think Geek website I knew I had to get it for him. He thought it was so awesome when I gave it to him. He said he had never seen anything like it. He used it in his swimming pool. It was really fun watching him take pictures and video underwater and them putting them on the computer and seeing how they turned out. I love that it comes with the batteries needed to operate it. He likes how easy it is to use. The crosshairs help him to know what will be in the picture and the LED helps him to know which mode (still or video) he is in. But the best part is this under water camera is completely hands free. It’s so cool! He loves it and I highly recommend it as a gift!

I’ve Got My Eye on Halo Diamond Studs from Brilliance.com

I love diamonds. Probably my favorite thing about them is how much they sparkle. Especially in the sunlight. I really love the round cut for my diamonds, to me that cut just seems to sparkle the most.

I love how easy the instructions are and can be followed very easily. Leah couldn’t build these items on her own BUT she still loved building and creating her own items. She also had tons of fun playing and building with Daddy!

Think Geek ~ Laptop Speakers and Electronic Firefly in a Jar Review

I got the Laptop Speaker Bar from Think Geek for my hubby. He loves listening to music and watching movies on his Laptop so this was the perfect gift for him. It also comes with a travel case making these portable laptop speakers a must have!

Babiators Baby and Kids Sunglasses Review and Giveaway [CLOSED]

My son loves playing with my sunglasses, but I don’t love letting him. He is too rough with them and they break pretty easily. I was excited to receive a pair of Babiators baby sunglasses for him because I knew they would be durable, & tough enough for everything a toddler could dish up.

I wish I could say that my son actually WEARS his Babiators, but that would be a lie. He loves to put them on, & take them off, & put them on again—and it goes on & on. The good thing is that these baby & kids sunglasses are totally flexible so he can play with them like that, and they aren’t going to break easily. I am trying to train him so he will keep the Babiators on while we are outside, but it might be a while before he decides to do that. I definitely think they would be beneficial in keeping his eyes protected from the harsh sun because Babiators offer 100 percent protection from UVA and UVB rays. In the meantime, we like to indulge him & tell him how cool he looks with his aviator-style rubber sunglasses on Winking smile . And it’s true…he is one stylin’ DUDE!!

Children’s sensitive skin needs sunscreen to limit dangerous UV exposure and their eyes need protection too. Here are the facts:

When compared to adult’s eyes, children’s eyes have fewer natural protections against UV exposure, making them more likely to be damaged.
The more time you spend outdoors, the more susceptible you are to sun damage. Published scientific research concludes that up to 50% of lifetime UV ray exposure may occur by age 18, so it’s imperative that we protect our children’s eyes now!
According to Dr. J. Keller Wortham, a physician with Optimum Wellness Family Medical Group in Los Angeles, excessive exposure to the sun during daily activities can contribute to cataract formation, macular degeneration, pinguecula and pterygium (growth on the eye’s surface), photokeratitis (snow blindness), and skin cancer on the eyelids. Those are a lot of big words, but the bottom line is this: protecting your children’s eyes is critical.
The EPA recommends you wear sunglasses even on days with a low UV index!

Moon Dough Magic Zoo Review

My daughter loves to be creative and play with molding clay and other fun building toys. One thing I don’t like about molding clay is that if you leave it out, it dries up pretty quickly. Sometimes she will play with it and I won’t even know it’s been left out, then it’s ruined!

VoiceQuilt: Taking Personalized Gifts to a New Level
