12 year old C has been having a blast riding his Rockboard Scooter.  He says: “It is such a fun scooter to ride,  I love the rock mode, but it is also really cool that I can use it like a regular scooter too.  I have kids asking me a lot where I got the scooter cause they want one too.”

I am really impressed by the quality of the scooter as well as how much fun it has been for C.  I love that it comes fully assembled (makes my life easier) and ready to ride.  Since it can hold up to 200 lbs. I was able to give it a try as well.  It is really fun!  I can see why the kids love it so much. The Rockboard Original is for kids ages 8+ (can hold 200 lbs.) and they also have a Rockboard Mini for kids ages 5+ (holds up to 90 lbs.).  Whichever you choose, I know your kids will have a blast on their Rockboard Scooter!

I LOVE my new Zooper Tango Double Stroller!  It is a high quality stroller with fabulous features!  Watch my video review below to see how it functions and what I love about it:

As you can see it is a GREAT stroller with many features to make your trip out and about with kids easy and comfortable.  It provides a very smooth ride thanks to the four independent wheel suspensions.  Your child can easily stay asleep while riding even when going over bumps.  You can push and turn this stroller with just one hand.  It turns on a dime and is effortless!

Each seat has it’s own individual recline and can be reclined to 4 different positions.  When reclined fully your child is laying in a flat position perfect for little ones who need to take naps while you are out and about.

One hand recline makes it very easy to recline and adjust the backrest.

It has 2 separate canopy’s for each seat.  You can see the canopy’s full coverage in the images below: upright seat position (left) reclined position (right).

There is also an infant safety enclosure net on each canopy.  It provides security for your baby.  You can also unzip it (as shown) for air flow to your child or to check on them.

 

 

 

It comes with 2 infant head rest inserts (shown on the left) and has a 5 point harness system which is easy for an adult to buckle and un-buckle (not easy for a child).

It also comes with 2 additional arm rest bars providing more leg room for older children.  All armrests are removable and are extremely easy to remove and reconnect.

Large utility basket underneath can hold a large diaper bag as well as other items and bags.  Great for holding everything you need on your day out.

  Zipper provides side access to the storage basket.  This is great because if both children are fully reclined you won’t be able to access the basket from the back.  With this feature you will still have access to cargo underneath.

Both canopy’s have a large storage pocket as well as a smaller pocket with a flap closure. Great for storing pacifiers, wipes, cell phones, car keys, toys, etc…IMAG1373

It also has a removable cup holder on the side for holding baby bottles, water bottles, and or sippy cups.

It also comes with a sun shade and foot muff accessory. The Tango is easy to open and to fold.  Once folded it stands on it’s own.  Folded it measures 42” x 30” x 14”.

If you have been looking for running earphones, or earphones for any physical activity look no further.  I have found the perfect product for anyone who is active outside and loves to listen to music.  My hubby rides his road bike regularly and loves to listen to music as he does.  For safety he leaves one ear open (as you should) so he only uses one side of his headphones.  It always annoyed him that the sound quality was never right since standard headphones are made to use both sides he didn’t get the full effect of the music.  Also, it annoyed him to have to tuck in the other headphone to get it out of the way. The One Good Earbud is available in different styles: In ear, wrap around, iPod style, with or without a mic…For my hubby I got the In ear with Mic.  It is perfect for him since he likes to be able to answer his phone as he is riding, with the mic he is able to do just that.  The sound quality is great with this single earbud and he no longer has to worry about the other earphone getting in the way.  This earphone is great for any activity where awareness is needed as well as for use with his smartphone while driving, etc…This single earphone is also ideal for someone with a hearing impairment in one ear.

BuDLoKs are a great way to ensure that your in ear headphones stay in your ear.  My hubby uses them with his in ear one good earbud while riding his bike and exercising and they work great.  He no longer has to worry about his earphone falling out while he is active.  They provide a really nice snug fit and since they come in a pack with 3 different sizes he was able to find the best fit for him.  And it worked out that a different size fit my ears so even more bang for our buck!

My 4 year old really likes riding a scooter around the neighborhood.  So I was excited to get the Trikke T5 Kids Carving Scooter for him.  Since it has 3 wheels he was confident on it right away.  I like that he can ride it like a regular scooter, but it is really cool that he can carve the scooter and ride with both feet up.  It took a little while for him to get the motions needed to get the scooter going (a leaning back and forth motion).  Watching some YouTube videos on the Trikke Tech YouTube Page helped us to know just how to ride it.  But now that he has the hang of it he looks like a little pro!  It is actually stinkin’ cute to watch him ride it :)   He does have a little bit harder time going up hill, but I’m sure with time and practice that will improve.  The kids in the neighborhood come up to him and say: “What kind of scooter is that?  It’s so trikke2cool!”  And they all have to have a turn on it.  I like that it has handle bar brakes so he can stop quickly if needed.  My son is having a blast with his new scooter and I know come summer I won’t be able to get him off of it.

My Favorite Scents Fresh From Nature

 

The sense of smell is such a powerful memory trigger for me.  I will smell things and it will take me back to my childhood or back to a specific memory.  All based on a smell.  I think it is incredible how our memories are tied so strongly to our sense of smell.

My favorite scents by far are the scents fresh from nature.  I absolutely love the way it smells after it has rained.  I love to just sit outside enjoying the smell.  It is so fresh and such a great nature smell.  Honestly if outside could smell like it just rained all the time I don’t think I would ever be indoors :)

I also love the smell of the forest.  When I was younger we went camping a lot and I went into the mountains with my dad to chop firewood.  When I am in the mountains with all the wonderful smells it takes me back to those times with my dad and my family.  We had so much fun camping and spending one on one quality time with my dad in the mountains was so special to me.  Being able to have the memories come back to me so strong because of the scents is priceless to me.

Another smell I love is Fresh Raspberries.  My parents have a ton of raspberry bushes in their back yard and we love to go out and pick the fresh berries.  They are so delicious and the smell is so amazing.  So fresh, so sweet.  I love love love it.

I love babies.  They are so sweet and cute and they smell so great!  To me there isn’t a better smell in the world than a freshly cleaned baby.  Whenever I get to chance to hold and cuddle a baby I will not pass up the opportunity.  For me now that Bug is getting older I miss his baby days.  So when I hold a baby now and I smell that sweet baby smell it takes me back to when Bug was a baby and those are some of the most fond memories I have.

Brag Worthy Christmas ~Lands End Fair Isle Button Gloves and Hat Review

I do not like winter!  It is too cold!  I am always looking for ways to stay warm.  As a teacher, I spend a lot of time outside at recess.  I am always looking for cute, good gloves to wear.  I really like the Fair Isle button gloves and hat I received from Lands End.

What I like about this gloves is that they are longer and cover up my wrists.  Normally when I get gloves, they just cover my hand.  The fabric feels very nice.  The only thing that I wish I could change is that I got the small size.  I have really small hands and they are too big.  I wish that had an extra small for people with tiny hands like me.

With my gloves, I also received a matching hat.  I am loving this hat.  It keeps my ears warm and fits well.  I also have a hard time with snow hats making my head itch.  This had does not do that.  The fabric they used is really soft.  I really liked that the hat matches my gloves, it makes me feel stylish.

Lands End does not only sell hats and gloves.  They sell all sort of different winter apparel and winter accessories.  They have a large section of coats, boots, and even scarfs.

Lands End is a great place to look for Christmas gifts.  In most places, it is cold and snowy at Christmas.  You always need gloves, hats, and coats to stay warm!  Lands End has things for adults and for kids as well.  Lands End has all your ‘staying warm’ needs!

ezrider1Bug sees his cousins riding on their scooters and has asked several times if he can have a scooter too.  I always said “Not until your older”.  That was until I was introduced to the Radio Flyer E-Z Rider Scooter.  It says that kids ages 3 can ride it so I thought we would give it a shot with 3 and a half year old Bug.

When it arrived it was completely assembled and folded, I just had to unfold it and adjust the handle bars to Bug’s height.  He immediately started riding with no problems!  I was so impressed.  Because they have made the wheels wide and the deck board wide as well, making it easy for little ones to use.  Like I said the handle bars are completely adjustable so it can grow with your child.

I really recommend this easy to ride scooter for kids who want to ride a scooter but aren’t quite old enough for the more advanced ones. My 3 year old is having a blast riding around on his new scooter with his cousins!

Brag Worthy Summer ~ Bumbleride Flite Stroller Review and Giveaway [CLOSED]

When it arrived I was pleasantly surprised out how lightweight it is.  It weighs in at only 13 lbs! That combined with the carry strap, it is a dream for me to get in and out of the car and even to just carry.  It also folds really compactly and is easy to fold.  I love that once you fold it it locks automatically so I don’t have to fumble around trying to lock it.fold

Another thing that I was pleasantly surprised about was how much room their is in the seat and under the canopy.  Bug is a tall 3 and a half year old and easily fits under the canopy with room to spare. Also, the sun canopy is SPF 45!  So not only does it keep your baby cool, but it is protecting him as well. The 5 point harness is really easy to unlatch with just a push of a button.  This is so nice for me as I don’t like it when it’s really hard to unlatch, but it does mean that your toddler can easily unlatch it as well.

I was impressed with the recline of the seat, it isn’t flat but it is definitely enough for your child to take a nap comfortably while your out and about.  It is a strap recline and you can easily do it with one hand.  There is no set limits on the recline so you can do anywhere from straight up to all the way laying down.   It also has an adjustable footrest with two positions, down or up.  This is a nice feature for a napping toddler to be more comfortable.

I love that you can access the basket from the front.  So even when the seat is fully reclined and Bug is asleep I can get what I need in and out of the basket.  It isn’t the biggest basket, but it is a good size for an Umbrella stroller and I can fit a medium sized diaper bag or purse under there.

carseat Another great thing about this stroller is that the handles are nice and tall, making it much more comfortable for my tall husband to push.  While still being very comfortable for me (I am short!).  So it’s a win win for us both.  I also like how it is really easy to maneuver and has lockable front wheels for the rougher terrain you may encounter. 

The Bumbleride Flite is a great High End Single Stroller and I highly recommend it!

After seeing that video I was extremely excited to review the Gyrowheel.  What a cool product!  It arrived and my first impression was whoa that is a heavy wheel, LOL.  We inflated the tire and found it very convenient that it came with an extender (since the tire is unique in it’s design the valve is in a different place than a standard wheel). We also charged the wheel (it is recommended that you charge it for 16 hours) and then once it was charged we put it on Bug’s bike.  It was really easy to put on his bike and it comes with extra hardware in case you need it.

  Since bug is just learning to ride (and can’t ride on his own yet) we set the stability to it’s highest setting.  It has 3 settings, high medium, low, so as your imagechild improves you can lower the stability so the Gyrowheel is helping less and less as you lower it.  I was so impressed by how well 3 and a half year old Bug did riding his bike with the Gyrowheel. Because it helps him to balance he is almost able to ride by himself.  Really the biggest set back we have been having has to do with the pedaling of the bike.  But we have been practicing and he keeps getting closer and closer.  Because of the Gyrowheel I know Bug will be riding his bike by himself within the next month or so.  I highly recommend the Gyrowheel for kids that are learning to ride a bike!

Brag Worthy Summer ~ Prime Time Toys Water Bombs Splash Swords and Splash Water Toys Review

We love swimming!  In fact we are out our neighborhood pool everyday without fail.  So we of course we need to have fun water toys for all the time we spend there.  Prime Time Toys has a great selection of pool and water toys.  If you have been to Target and walked down the summer/swim isle then you have seen Prime Time Toys on the shelves :)   We were sent two Splash Bombs swordsSports Splash Swords and a 6 piece Splash Combo pack of toys.  The swords were a hit right when the boys saw them.  There have been many splash sword fights and battles at our pool :)   They are fun because they absorb water so each time they hit each other’s swords or swing them water comes out.  Don’t worry moms, they are soft enough that they don’t hurt if they hit each other, (of course we discourage that).  They have even had fun sword fighting with these in the house and in the backyard.  Great toys for active boys!  (They also have Sports Splash Battle Gear)

The 6 pack pack of water toys are great.  They are all soft and perfect for younger children and babies. image Many babies/toddlers at our neighborhood pool have enjoyed the soft blocks and the boys enjoy throwing the splash pets back and forth.  Bug also likes to throw the splash pets out into the water and swim out to them.  It’s a fun little game he plays.

We have had and will continue to have a lot of fun with Prime Time Water Toys.  They are a great quality and I highly recommend them for summer time water/pool  fun!

Brag Worthy Summer ~ Step 2 Sand & Water Fun Farm Review and Giveaway [CLOSED]

My 3 and a half year old loves being outside.  Even more than that he loves playing with outdoor toys.  We have really enjoyed the great variety of Step 2 outdoor toys and have been very happy with them all.  So we were excited when the Step 2 Sand & Water Fun Farm arrived at our house.

  It was very simple and fast to put together (which is very nice with an anxious toddler waiting).  It is just a matter of clicking a few pieces into place and imageputting on the stickers.  I love that it comes with a lot of small toys to play with, Bug of course loved it too :) He loves the tracks that he can drive the tractor around and haul the sand and water to different “locations”.

We have had a water table and a sand table but up until now we haven’t had one together.  I have to say I am a fan of having them together in one table.  Because when we had them separate they ended up together anyway, meaning, Bug would bring sand to the water table and water to the sand table.  I like just having them both in one place.  A couple things to note: It imagedoesn’t have a drain so if you need to empty the water then you have to scoop it out (not that big of a deal for me, but I wanted to share it).  The water/sand mill doesn’t turn very easily.  When you pour sand and water in it it is supposed to turn the mill but doesn’t.  Bug still enjoys pouring the sand & water down and doesn’t mind that it doesn’t turn.  I am hoping it will losen up with time and start turning…And of course realize that it doesn’t come with sand so you will want to buy a bag ahead of time.

Bug has enjoyed many hours of fun with this new table and I know that there are many more to come!

This half tent is perfect for setting up in the backyard.  It was easy to assemble.  I also really like that it can easily be brought inside (easily fits through the doorway when turned sideways).  Bug has enjoyed both outdoor and indoor fun with his base camp tent.  It can comfortably fit 3 kids, or 1 adult with 1 kid.safari2

Brag Worthy Summer~ Problem Solvers Review and $50 GC Giveaway

I am always looking for new fun ways to get more organized in my apartment.  I live in a little place and have WAY too much stuff.  Problem Solvers is a great place to look for products to get more organized.  I was very excited to receive my Over-the-Door Flower Hook.  It is such an easy place to hang up my purse and keys.  I have not been misplacing my keys anymore!

Another thing that was fun to discover was that Problem Solvers has many different kinds of products.  They also have fun things for the kitchen.  One of my favorite things about camping is eating S’Mores.  I was very excited to discover an Indoor S’More Maker.  It is so easy to use.  You can use it in your oven or on your grill.  When I used it the first time, I did it in the oven.  It only takes about 5 minutes for yummy S’More goodness.  My only thing is that the marshmallows did not get that toasty taste that you get from roasting them over the fire.  Next time, I will be trying them on the grill to see if I get more of that toasted marshmallow favor.

Dealing with Allergies…So Glad There is Help!

Oh allergies, such a joy…NOT!  With all the warm weather we get so excited to get outside and play.  We forget about Allergies.  Darn those allergies!  My poor little guy gets allergies so bad that he can’t even function daily.  Runny and stuffy nose, headache, itchy eyes.  It all equals no fun for him :( When I see him so miserable I just feel so bad. I wish I could just take his allergies from him so he doesn’t have to suffer one more minute.  I really would if I could, but I can’t. kidsrunning  He loves to be outside so there is no way we can keep him in.  All I can say is that I am so grateful that there is great allergy medicine for kids available.  Without it we would be stuck inside wishing for allergy season to end, and dealing with a miserable child.  I have found that it is always good to plan ahead and give him his allergy medicine before we leave to go out, that way it has kicked in long before we are out in the elements and all his symptoms have begun.  But most days we are outside a lot so he has to take it everyday regardless.  Allergies are definitely not a fun thing to have to deal with, I am just so glad that there are great products to help ease the discomforts and make playing outside more enjoyable for my little guy!
