Are you visiting Abu Dhabi? A lot of fun activities await your family in this UAE emirate, especially if you visit Ferrari World Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.
Ferrari World will let you experience the world’s fastest rollercoaster as well as the world’s highest rollercoaster loop.
Here are some of the theme park rides and experiences the whole family will enjoy doing here.
- Karting Academy
The Karting Academy in Ferrari World Abu Dhabi is a two-pit-lane, 290-meter-long indoor electric go-kart circuit. Go-kart racing at the Karting Academy is a timed attraction. It will let you ride for 20 minutes at speeds ranging from 25 to 45 km/h.
It is for your family if family members are 13 years and older, are between 150 and 210 cm tall, and weigh below 120 kg. Remember that helmets are required, and you cannot wear high heels, open-toed shoes, sandals, and slippers.
- Formula Rossa
Next on the agenda is the Formula Rossa, officially the world’s fastest rollercoaster and one of Ferrari World Abu Dhabi’s main attractions.
True to its label as the world’s fastest rollercoaster, Formula Rossa accelerates from zero to 240 km/h in 4.9 seconds. And to add to the thrill, it climbs as high as 52 m. And with up to 4.8Gs of force, it will let you experience accelerations comparable to what race car drivers feel when braking and cornering on racing circuits.
To ride the Formula Rossa, someone must be 140 to 195 cm tall and weigh below 100kg.
If a family member can’t be on the Formula Rossa, he can ride the Formula Rossa Junior instead. The top speed is at 45 km/h, and anyone from 90 to 110 cm tall can ride it, making the Formula Rossa Junior perfect for your younger companions.
- Flying Aces
The Flying Aces has the world’s highest roller coaster loop. It climbs up a steep 51-degree incline to a height of 63 m and goes up to a speed of 120 km/h for an incredibly loopy ride.
To ride the Flying Aces, someone must be at least 136 cm and at most 196 cm tall.
If a family member can’t make it onto the Flying Aces, try the Flying Wings. This is perfect for riders who are at least 105 cm tall.
- Nello’s Adventureland
If your children are too young for the attractions named above, go to Nello’s Adventureland, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi’s play area wonderland with its slides and soft play areas. Even older children should love playing at Nello’s.
To play at Nello’s, children must be accompanied by adults at all times.
- Driving with the Champion
Driving with the Champion is a cinematic, motion-based simulator that will let you experience how it’s like to be a trainee engineer riding along the Fiorano track and the streets of Maranello at incredible speeds.
Children may go unaccompanied as long as they are at least 120 cm tall. Otherwise, children at least 107 cm tall may go on this ride as long as adults accompany them.
- Viaggio in Italia
This immersive, multi-sensory simulator will let you experience what it’s like to be in an endurance race.
Inspired by the open-road Mille Miglia or Thousand Miles endurance race, not only will it let you experience riding at racing speeds, but it will also let you enjoy the charming Italian landscape. Throughout the “ride,” you will get glimpses of the mountains, villages, vineyards, and cities of Italia.
This ride is for everyone from 100 to 195 cm tall. A child 100 to below 120 m tall must be accompanied by an adult.
- Benno’s Great Race
In this ride, Benno the mouse needs your help to win his race.
Your family will ride a Ferrari body vehicle, each of which can accommodate up to five riders. As you go along the ride, you will have to work together to complete tasks like cutting cobwebs, assembling a Ferrari car, catching bees, and other similarly interactive challenges to help Benno move forward in the race.
The incredible special effects will help you get immersed into the oversized world of Benno and other special Ferrari World Abi Dhabi characters.
To go on Benno’s Great Race, unaccompanied children should be at least 120 cm tall. Accompanied by adults, children have no minimum height requirement. However, everyone should weigh from 15 to 100 kg.
- Turbo Track
If the whole family loves heart-thumping rise-and-falls, you’ll immensely enjoy Turbo Track. On this unique roller coaster ride, first, you’ll rush through the roof on a fast vertical climb, then after a suspense-filled pause, you’ll fall back the way you came in an epic-zero gravity fall. If the suspense doesn’t distract you, you’re sure to love the view from the top of the Turbo Track.
You have to be 130 cm to 196 cm tall to ride the Turbo Track. If your children can’t be on the Turbo Track, try the Turbo Tower, which requires a minimum height of only 105 cm. Securely strapped in, you will climb up to 13.5 m, which should give you a fantastic view of the park. Then, you will experience zero gravity as you free fall in two bouncing drops.
- Speedway Race
The Speedway Race will let your kids ride a two-seater race car and race through a race track on tracks. It’s fast, it’s fun, and it’s safe even for younger children. The lights flashing over the track can only add to the excitement of going on the Speedway Race.
The Speedway Race is for children 90 to 120 cm tall.
- Tyre Twist
The Tyre Twist is like spinning in teacups, but on tires. A gigantic tire can seat up to five persons, so it’s perfect for the family. Every giant tire is affixed on a spinning metal base plate, which is, in turn, hitched on an even larger, and also spinning, metal plate. Centrifugal and centripetal forces will keep you sliding and colliding with your fellow riders.
Kids 107 to below 120 cm tall can ride the Tyre Twist as long as they come accompanied by adults. Otherwise, the minimum height requirement is 120 cm.
