3 Quick Ways to pick an amazing bed for your children!

This is a sponsored guest post.

One of the best feelings as a parent is getting a good night’s sleep. When you spend the early years of your children’s life barely being able to rest for more than an hour, it almost seems like you’ll never have a full night of uninterrupted sleep ever again! Fear not though, the day where you can finally sleep well again does return, and when it happens you’ll need to upgrade the crib and choose the perfect bed for your little one. Like anything in life, there will be a million choices and you’ll get more than enough suggestions from friends and family to make your head spin so here are three quick tips for saving time and making the right choice for your kid.

If you’re looking for more detailed advice you can read more at ASizeBeds.com

For starters, think practically. Consider the non-negotiables like how much space you have to work with in their room, what size bed your child needs, and how many children will be in the same room. One benefit of a kid that you don’t realize until you’re older is that you can actually have a night of sleep without waking up in the morning with back and neck pain! Point being, children should adapt well enough to any bed as long as it isn’t far too tiny or uncomfortable. This will make it worth thinking less about the bed itself and more about how much space you in the room and which size bed you may be forced to choose.  A twin or a double bed will be more than enough and should be your top consideration. What might end up changing this though is if you have more than one of your children sleeping in the same room together. Siblings may be best off in bunk beds for saving space saver beds, two twin beds, or even a double or queen size bed so they can sleep together for added comfort.

If you have the freedom and ability to consider different styles and designs then your Mini Me will appreciate the extra infusion of style if you find a bed specially designed for their gender, interests, or theme of their room. A boy will excited to sleep throughout the night in his racecar bed while a girl will fall in love with her bed that makes her feel like she’s laying in Cinderella’s castle.  While that might be out of the reach of many young parents to afford, there are plenty of basic ways to customize a bed for your son or daughter by selecting the right headboard, bed frames, or comforter that will match their personality, keep them feeling cozy, and even keeping them safe in case they were to roll out of the bed at night.

Before getting too carried away with the special, but expensive features of your children’s bed, let’s get back to brass tax – budget. Throughout the years of being an adult and having to purchase a bed or mattress for yourself, you may have had nightmares after looking at the high prices on even seemingly basic beds. Unfortunately, you may have to break open the piggy bank when getting the right bed for your child, but you won’t have to break the bank. After you determine the right size and how much space you can accommodate, you’ll want to budget enough money to pick one that works for your and your child’s needs. Fortunately, most furniture stores and mattress companies have a selection of affordable beds and even payment plans in case you need to stretch your dollar to afford the right bed.

You get what you pay for in life and a bed is a purchase that is worth spending the money on. Thankfully, the right bed for your child can last for years and isn’t something you’ll have to replace every few months (looking at you clothes, shoes, and toys!). You may not believe it, but the right bed won’t depend on a million different factors if you focus on what’s necessary. Although there will be plenty of bells and whistles available the main factors to focus on will be size, budget and style. The average kid doesn’t need to sleep on a memory foam mattress or have a bed that raises and lowers itself like a Transformer. Nonetheless, making the right decision is important and worth doing the due diligence on first before spending the money.
