5 Effective Methods to Treat Thinning of Hairs

According to Biology, humans lose up to 50 to 100 hairs a day. But if you are facing hair fall any more than this, then it’s time you should take some steps to reduce it.

There are many causes and factors that can contribute to frequent hair loss, thus resulting in the thinning of hair. Thinning does not cause baldness, but it can lead to somewhat empty spots on the head, which gives a bad appearance.

There’s no need to worry if a few hairs are falling out when you are showering or combing your hair. There can be many causes of severe hair loss, including pollution, deficiency of certain minerals and vitamins, stress and anxiety, hereditary factors, medications, and so on.

So, before you go to a hair specialist, check these five effective methods that can cure the thinning of hair or maybe, reduce it to a healthy extent.

1. Scalp Massage or Hair Spa

The growth of hair depends largely on the blood circulation in the blood vessels under the scalp. Getting a scalp massage done might be the most cost-effective option you can get to reduce the thinning of hair.

Massages open pores in the body and help in the proper blood circulation within the body. Therefore, get it done by a professional or give yourself a scalp massage often to get thicker hair.

Even when you are shampooing your hair, apply some pressure on your scalp with the help of your fingers and make sure to reach every part of the scalp. There are also devices that have come up to provide hair loss treatment for men and women, which will help you to massage your scalp successfully and promote blood flow.

2. Essential Oils or Herb Oils

Essential oils can also provide some cure to the thinning of hair. These oils are generally liquids that are extracted from plants with medicinal importance.

Essential oils are widely used in aromatherapy and in the pharmaceutical industry because of their medicinal values. Oils derived from lavender or jojoba have been successfully able to cure pattern baldness in many people around the world. Lavender oils are very often mixed with herb oils, derived from rosemary and thyme and the concoction can be effective to help reduce hair loss.

But there haven’t been many studies that can actually provide a cure for hair thinning. However, you can still try this method but make sure to use a diluted version.

Before applying the oils on the scalp, put a small amount of oil in your arm and wait for 24 hours to eradicate any possibility of allergies or skin reactions.

3. Anti-hair fall shampoos

Another way to find a cure for hair thinning is to make use of anti-thinning or anti-hair fall shampoos. These products are different from regular shampoos and give your hair a voluminous outlook to make it appear thicker.

Hair thinning shampoos or anti-hair fall shampoos contain many nutrients and amino acids that can help you get a healthier scalp. But, make sure you use these products as directed by the manufacturers (directions can be found on the back of the shampoo container).

4. Proper Diet

Healthy hair is nothing but a by-product of an overall healthy body. And for maintaining good health, a daily proper diet is very necessary.

A healthy balanced diet contains appropriate proportions of carbohydrates, proteins, fats and minerals that are required for maintaining good health. Thus, having a good diet is directly related to having good and strong hair.

If you’re still facing hair problems, then visit a medical hair specialist immediately and let your doctor prescribe you a multivitamin. Iron, folic acid, zinc and so on are necessary for the good health of hair. However, avoid taking any extra doses of vitamins as they can have unnecessary side effects and do more harm than good.

5. Folic acid supplements

Another way of reducing hair thinning is to take prescribed folic acid supplements. Folic acid is a form of vitamin B that is responsible for cell growth in the body.

But there hasn’t been any constructive study that reveals that folate deficiency causes hair loss. In this case, visit a doctor as soon as possible and let them decide what’s best for you.

Over to you…

I have mentioned that hair falling below 100 a day is normal, but if you’re concerned about your hair, then visit the doctor as soon as possible. Because heavy hair loss can also pertain to a serious medical condition that only doctors can identify.
