The Nut Job Movie Review ~ Opens in Theaters Today

My daughter and I and a couple friends were able to go review the new movie The Nut Job and the girls loved it!  The Nut Job Movie is a great movie for the whole family to enjoy!

The squirrels and animals of the Park are headed into winter and trying to store up as much food as they can. Racoon played by Liam Neeson is the head honcho of the park and is trying to get all the animals to rally together to save winter and essentially the park. Sully the lone squirrel (played by Will Arnett)  and his trusty best friend and side kick Buddy the Rat are in it for themselves. Sully is not a team player and is only looking out for himself and what food that he can gather. Then there is the Park hero Grayson (played by Brendan Fraser) and Andie the female squirrel (played by Kathrine Heigl) who will do anything to help Raccoon and the other animals of the Park find food. Andie and Grayson go on a mission to find food and run into Sully who is already casing out a Nut Cart. Then that’s when everything goes awry! Something happens and Sully is banished from the park to live in the city and suddenly he realizes being on his own may not be so bad…. Sully meets a cute pug named Precious (she was Leah’s favorite character.) and some other fun characters along the way. The animals of the park all discover that they all will need to work together in order to find food.

There is also another story going on while the animals try to find food. A few mob members King (played by Stephen Lang) and some of his cronies set up a pretend Nut Shop and are trying to rob the bank!

“Surly, a curmudgeon, independent squirrel is banished from his park and forced to survive in the city. Lucky for him, he stumbles on the one thing that may be able to save his life, and the rest of park community, as they gear up for winter ”

Leah’s absolute favorite part is when Sully meets Precious and she tries to lick his face and says…”Come on Don’t Be weird” (precious the pug)
