Read the #AmericasFarmers Stories

This post was created in partnership with America’s Farmers. All opinions are my own.

America’s Farmers are so inspiring!  When we purchase food at the grocery store often times we don’t think about the hard work that goes into getting that food to us. They are fueling our country! So I am loving the fact that there is an entire website dedicated to honoring and telling the stories of America’s Farmers.

I grew up in a small town and many of my friends were members of farm families so I have really enjoyed reading the stories and wanted to share one of them with you.

Meet the Woodrow Family

“Kelly Woodrow has been farming since 1979, starting when he was just 18 years old.

He started farming with his dad, Don Woodrow, now retired, and now Kelly’s sons have started farming with him as partners in the operation. The three share all the farm responsibilities equally and work together to make the farm successful. Even Kelly’s father still drives the tractor from time to time.

For the Woodrows, farm life isn’t always easy, but it’s a good life and they love what they do.”

Family Motto

"I think we’re the best in the world at what we do, so I think it’s up to the American farmer to keep improving the technology, to keep being a better steward to the land, to keep doing better with the quality of grain, to keep feeding the world. I think as long as we do that, we’ll all survive and we’ll all make a good living. That’s what it’s going to take, everybody working together." – KELLY WOODROWimage

You can view all of their info here as well as watch their video.

Check out all of the families stories over on the America’s Farmers website.

You can also check out my America’s Farmers Pinterest Board with some great recipes as well.
