Teach Your Child to Be Confident ~ LITTLE GREEN Book Review

I received a copy of this book and compensation for my time to review.  All opinions are my own.

My kids love sitting down and reading books.  Because my son is in First Grade and is beginning to read he especially has an interest in books.  So when our newest book, LITTLE GREEN arrived, he was eager to read it with me.

We sat down together and with little sis (who is 2) to read it.  We all enjoyed it very much. It kept both children’s attention well.

The message of the book is that even though Little Green can’t be anything other than himself (he tries to be a goose, horse, fish…) if he is himself then anything is possible.

I love the message it sends to kids as being yourself is definitely the most important thing you can do to find true happiness in life.  It also teaches kids confidence and to dream big.  The words rhyme which makes it fun to read and listen to, and the illustrations are simple and beautiful.

"Then, isn’t it possible I’m a goose without wings?"
NO!
Little Green is a frog, and a frog is not a goose.

“It’s about time we admit that not everything is possible.  For too long, movies and books have pretended anything is possible, but kids are smart and know that’s not true, so messages that are meant to motivate quickly become empty platitudes.

However, ALMOST anything IS possible! This simple, honest qualification offers a more powerful message and an inspirational lesson for everyone in LITTLE GREEN, a picture book for 2-7 year olds written by Arnold Rudnick, with illustrations by Marcelo Gorenman.”
