My hair over the years has become super wavy and frizzy. I have lived in a couple countries that are really tropical and humid and I think it is because of that. So as I get older and my hair gets wavier it gets to be uncontrollable sometimes! Oh and to top it all off I also have super thick and now really long hair. When I am styling my hair I usually will take a shower with any kind of shampoo/conditioner usually it’s for color treated hair. Then of course since my hair is now wavy and not straight I would add some kind of product in like mousse, curling cream or something just so it doesn’t frizz out! If I was feeling really ambitious and had some time on my hands I would blow dry and straighten my hair with a straightener. But since my hair is so thick and getting long it takes me FOREVER! When I say thick I mean thick, I have my hairdresser thin my hair out every time that I go and get it colored or cut, it just is so heavy sometimes!
When living proof sent me their Shampoo, Conditioner and 5 in 1 styling treatment to try out I was really excited. I am always looking for products that will help my hair become shiny, easier to manage and I won’t have to shampoo it as much!
The routine started out as I normally do except this time I used the Living Proof Shampoo and Conditioner. Before blow drying my hair ( I didn’t want to have to do my hair again the next day or the next) I used the 5 in 1 styling treatment and I loved how soft and silky it made my hair feel. I started using the products this week and can already see a difference! Ok now no judging but that first picture is total bed head, see what I have to deal with, actually that was from being in a bun the day before and having to take Leah to school with no shower yet. I seriously love how my hair turned out and this is just after one time using it!
What I love is that this phd shampoo, conditioner and 5 in 1 styling treatment makes for the perfect hair day! These 3 products are used to style your hair and make them smooth, shiny, add volume, conditioning, polish and strength all in just one set! This Shampoo and Conditioner set are going to change my routine all together for the better! These 2 are designed so that I don’t have to wash my hair as often because it will keep my hair cleaner for a longer period of time! Usually when I straighten my hair I don’t wash it for at least 3 days but by the end it is gross, I love that I can keep my style for longer without having to wash it! The shampoo and conditioner are also sulfate, oil and silicone free so my hair is going to be super healthy too!
Once the Shampoo and Conditioner have been applied and rinsed out make sure to use the 5 in 1 style treatment on damp hair! Once this is done you can blow dry or air dry to get the smoothness, strength, volume, conditioning and of course polish that you need. What I also love about this set is that the it is UV protection, static control (nothing worse than fly away hair and clingy hair!) and heat protection! I don’t need to use my heat spray before I straighten my hair anymore! The 5 in 1 is also silicone and oil free. I noticed that I got the best results when I used a round brush for more volume and for the sleeker more polished look I used a flat brush.
When I heard about Living Proof products I was really excited to try them out. I was more excited when I heard who the co-owner and spokesperson was. When I think of great hair one celebrity comes to mind and that is Jennifer Aniston!
