Ancestry.com DNA Test Review

ancestry

I received 2 DNA kits for this review, all opinions are my own.

A couple months ago I told you about ancestry.com and how I really wanted to get to know my family tree. Well while exploring I came across their DNA kits. These kits are great for finding out more about where you came from in the world. I decided to have my husband and I take the tests and see where we came from! I had always thought my family was from mostly England and Wales boy was I surprised at the results! PicMonkey Collage

But first, how exactly do you do a a DNA test? Well Ancestry.com send the DNA test to you along with everything needed to complete it. It is basically a tube that you spit in and have to fill in then they have something you pour in and mix the 2. Once that is done then you mail it in and they do the rest! Get your genetic methylation test done here.

Once the DNA results are completed they are then uploaded to your ancestry.com account. I was so excited to receive the results it was so interesting! I found out that we are 35% Great Britain, 28% from Ireland etc. I didn’t realize we were mostly from those 2 places, so cool!

Once the results are in the information is endless! You can click on each location and learn more about that region and what kind of people lived there. Then you can also see who on ancestry is linked to you through DNA like 2nd and 3rd cousins and more! I found it really interesting!
