Feeding children is a constant battle. Very honestly it has been the hardest aspect of raising children for me. The constant fight between ease and convenience, and the desire to provide the best nutrition possible and avoid Mommy guilt. I was very excited to be able to review some great healthy snacks that are packed full for fruits and veggies! VegThisWay Rawr Bars. They are as cute as they are tasty! My youngest loved them all, my oldest didn’t care for the Very Berry Kale, but he enjoyed the other ones, Beet-A-Peel and Super Sweet Potato. (He’s my pickiest. The kid doesn’t like strawberries. SERIOUSLY?) First of all I love how appealing the packaging is to young ones. As silly as it seems to adults, that is definitely a factor when it comes to kids. But who doesn’t want to eat something with a roaring lion on it? They are a lot like other fruit strips or fruit flats we’ve tried. The texture is a little bit different, but not in a bad way. I would say they taste a bit “healthier” than the sugar filled store bought ones, but thats exactly what they are! A WHOLE LOT healthier! They are great for adults as well- hello perfect post-workout snack on-the-go! My favorite was the Super Sweet Potato. As soon as I opened it up I smelled sweet potato pie, and tasted like it too!
