My son just started Kindergarten this fall and when he did his teacher recommended a couple of websites to have him play on at home. One of those sites was ABCmouse.com. She recommended that if he played on ABCmouse.com it would really help him learn a lot. I was thrilled that ABCmouse offered us a subscription so that we could review the site.
Right away I was impressed with the ABCmouse.com Early Learning Academy, there is so much for my son to do. They have over 450 lessons and so many different ways for him to learn. We started by creating an avatar for my son and he really liked the process of being able to create a character that looks like him. Next it showed us around the site so we could get familiar with it.
I love that it is child safe. You don’t have to worry about any advertisements, external links or pop ups.
There are so many fun online educational activities and lessons for my son on ABCmouse. It is based on his grade level so it is all lessons and activities that are perfect for him and go right along with what he is learning at school. I can track his progress in the parent dashboard and adjust his levels and what he is learning.
It rewards him with tickets as he completes activities and then he can shop for items for his Avatar, his classroom, aquarium, hamster, etc…It’s a fun reward system that he really enjoys.
He loves that when we log him into ABCmouse it says “Welcome back “NAME””. It makes him feel so special that it actually says his name.
But by far the best thing is that my son is learning so much from ABCmouse.com and he really loves the time he spends on the site. He actually asks me very regularly to play on ABCmouse.com. I love that he is learning but has so much fun he doesn’t realize that he is!
