I couldn’t wait to put this baby swing together when it arrived. I found it simple to assemble and it has good instructions. It took me about 30 minutes total. It requires 4D batteries (not included) so you will want to have those on hand.

The swing seat can be turned from a cradle swing (side-to-side) to a traditional swing (forward & back). It can be changed to left or right. The seat has 2 positions, upright and reclined.
