Disney•Pixar’s COCO Film Review~ Now Playing In Theaters!! #PixarCoco

I attended an advanced screening of this film. All opinions are my own.

“Despite his family’s baffling generations-old ban on music, Miguel (voice of newcomer Anthony Gonzalez) dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz (voice of Benjamin Bratt). Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead following a mysterious chain of events. Along the way, he meets charming trickster Hector (voice of Gael García Bernal), and together, they set off on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel’s family history.”-Disney•Pixar

I love Disney•Pixar movies and I have been so excited to see COCO. After watching I can say, COCO is a fantastic film.

I thought that the voice cast was great. I especially loved newcomer Anthony Gonzalez as Miguel. A big part of the storyline of this film is music. I was really impressed with his singing talent. I loved the music in the film. It definitely helps you get immersed into the culture and story of the film.

Progression Image 3 of 3: Final Frame..ASPIRING MUSICIAN — In Disney•Pixar’s “Coco,” Miguel (voice of newcomer Anthony Gonzalez) dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like the celebrated Ernesto de la Cruz (voice of Benjamin Bratt). But when he strums his idol’s guitar, he sets off a mysterious chain of events. Directed by Lee Unkrich, co-directed by Adrian Molina and produced by Darla K. Anderson, “Coco” opens in theaters Nov. 22, 2017.

This movie was visually stunning. It was so bright and colorful. The way the animators imagined and portrayed the Land of the Dead was so creative. I saw the movie in 3D and loved watching COCO in this format. It added so much dimension to the film.

The thing that I loved most about this movie is how it portrayed the importance of family and knowing your ancestry. I loved how the filmmakers were able to relate this subject to the whole family in a meaningful and fun way.

THE LAND OF THE DEAD – In Disney•Pixar’s “Coco,” aspiring musician Miguel (voice of Anthony Gonzalez) finds himself in the Land of the Dead—a rich and vibrant community featuring bridges of marigold petals. Directed by Lee Unkrich, co-directed by Adrian Molina and produced by Darla K. Anderson, Disney•Pixar’s “Coco” opens in U.S. theaters on Nov. 22, 2017. ©2017 Disney•Pixar. All Rights Reserved.

This movie is perfect for the whole family. There are a couple of moments with the skeletons that may scare some little kids but they are very brief. This movie has a lot of humor that both adults and children will enjoy.

COCO is the perfect movie to see this holiday season. I loved it and I will definitely be seeing it again.

COCO gets bragging rights!!!

NAME THAT TUNE – In Disney•Pixar’s “Coco,” Miguel’s love of music ultimately leads him to the Land of the Dead where he teams up with charming trickster Hector. “Coco” features an original score from Oscar®-winning composer Michael Giacchino, the original song “Remember Me” by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, and additional songs co-written by Germaine Franco and co-director/screenwriter Adrian Molina. Also part of the team is musical consultant Camilo Lara of the music project Mexican Institute of Sound. In theaters on Nov. 22, 2017. © 2017 Disney•Pixar. All Rights Reserved.
