Elysium Movie Review ~ See it In Theaters Today

elysium-movie-poster-1

My husband and I don’t get out all that often, especially with 2 little girls at home. But when we go out we usually like to hit up the latest movies! We saw the preview to the Elysium Movie and I knew with actors like Matt Damon and Jodi Foster it was one I wanted to see!

“In the year 2154, two classes of people exist: the very wealthy,
who live on a pristine man-made space station called Elysium,
and the rest, who live on an overpopulated, ruined planet. The
people of Earth are desperate to escape the crime and
poverty that is now rampant throughout the land. The only man with
the chance to bring equality to these worlds is Max (Matt Damon), an
ordinary guy in desperate need to get to Elysium. With his life
hanging in the balance, he reluctantly takes on a dangerous
mission – one that pits him against Elysium’s Secretary Delacourt
(Jodie Foster) and her hard-line forces – but if he succeeds, he could
save not only his own life, but millions of people on Earth as well.”

I loved the character of Max played by Matt Damon and his love for Fray that stemmed from a childhood crush. This movie is action packed till the very end! I was gripping my seat half the time wondering what was going to happen next. My husband who always reads the critics reviews before seeing a movie, really enjoyed this movie also!

Elysium is R rated due to violence and strong language. Please visit www.itsbetterupthere.com to read more about the movie and it’s characters!
