There is nothing I love more than watching my oldest son read to my youngest- seriously the sweetest thing ever. As soon as our copy of Zonderkidz‘s Fiona the Hippo arrived, they dove right in! It is a story about Fiona the Hippo who is born and then step by step begins to grow and learn new things. It was so sweet because my oldest was finding all the similarities between Fiona and his little brother. “Look, Fiona drinks a bottle too!” “The hippo is learning to walk just like you are- and she falls down too! Next time you fall we should say “You got this” like she does!” HEART MELTED! It’s such a great story that resonates with kids (and adults) of all ages- just keep trying. Nothing comes easy right away, but with some persistence you’ll always succeed! I also love that this book is based on a real hippo named Fiona from the Cincinnati Zoo. So cool! It is BEAUTIFULLY illustrated, and sure to be a family favorite for years to come!
