Michaels will host free creative in-store events every Saturday in December from 1–3 pm, offering consumers a much-needed break from the holiday rush. Attendees will receive everything they need to paint their own personalized wooden ornament – a sentimental keepsake or handmade gift – with step-by-step creative guidance from Michaels instructors, alongside complimentary festive sweet treats.
According to the 2025 Michaels Creativity Trend Report, 88% of Michaels shoppers say crafting helps them spend quality time with loved ones, and these free events give them a simple, meaningful way to do just that.
In addition, Michaels will continue to host seasonal-themed Makebreak and Kids Club events on Sundays from 2–4pm throughout the winter, giving adults and kids alike the chance to learn a new craft, get inspired and express their creativity all weekend long. Kids Club events are always free, while guests purchase a component of the Makebreak project.
