Handmade & All Natural~Babylon Soap Co. Review and Giveaway

I have a little obsession. It’s soap. But not just any soap…..it has to be handmade soap to satisfy me. I can’t tell you how excited I was when I received several soaps and lip balms from Babylon Soap Co.! I knew they were going to be great, but I had no idea that they were going to be AMAZING!

Babylon Soap Co. is a small company that produces some pretty awesome bath and body products.  I was sent 4 bar soaps and 2 lip balms along with a few samples of body scrubs. I was blown away at the quality and all the little touches that were added to create customer satisfaction! The first thing that caught my eye was the packaging. The soaps each came in a cute cardboard container and the lip balms were packaged in a little drawstring bag. It got me thinking that these products would be a perfect gift that would require no effort on my part ;). Not only was the packaging perfect, but the fact that I was sent several samples to enjoy, really made my day!

So why do I love a good handmade soap? Because I feel good about letting my whole family use it. If you use regular bar soap or body wash, do me a favor and check out the ingredient list. I prefer not to put that stuff all over my body. Babylon Soap Co. uses ingredients that I can pronounce and they are minimal (the less, the better in this case).

 I chose to review the Oatmeal Coconut, Charcoal (Bergamot & Sweet Orange), and Cocoa Cinnamon soaps and they all smell divine. I also got to try a sample of the Coffee Clove soap and it is one of my favorites!! With coconut oil, sodium hydroxide, sustainable palm oil, water, shea butter, avocado oil, canola oil, castor oil, and a few other ingredients (depending on the scent), I can feel good about bathing with this soap!! They also lather nicely and are definitely moisturizing. Some of the soaps are slightly exfoliating as well….such as the Coffee Clove soap, because there are tiny pieces of coffee bean in it!

 The lip balms I received are the Lavender Rose Vanilla and Peppermint Rosemary both of which smell delicious. The “all natural lip balm is a wonderfully creamy blend of sweet almond oil, cocoa butter, beeswax, essential and/or natural flavor oil and vitamin E oil.”  Having chapstick or lip balm is a must for me and the balm from Babylon Soap Co. makes my lips happy!
