I have never owned a steam mop before but I have always wanted one. Overall I am very impressed with the Hoover TwinTank Steam Mop. It cleans my linoleum floors really well. In fact I haven’t seen my floors cleaner than when I use this mop on them.

It comes already assembled, I just had to put the handle on and wrap the cord around the cord holders. It has a really long cord which is nice because you can clean a large area without having to move to a new outlet. I like that it is really easy to take off and put back the tanks. Super simple. One side holds the water, and one side holds the cleaning solution.

Once you have it plugged in you push the button to turn it on. In about 30 seconds the light will turn green letting you know it is ready to steam. You can use just steam for cleaning by leaving the setting on off. Or you can use cleaning solution as you steam by adjusting it from low to high. I like that you can decide how much solution you want. I did find it takes a lot of effort to push and pull the mop when it has the pad on it. It gave me quite an arm exercise once I was done I was a little sore. I like that it swivels and pivots well to get into corners and hard to reach areas. The one thing I would change, you have to push and hold a little lever on the handle in order for the steam to come out. I wish I could just turn on the steam and it would stay on. Having to hold it is a little annoying and gave me a bad hand cramp. Regardless of this I love how clean it gets my floors so I can over look it.

Another cool feature I wasn’t expecting is that you can use the steam mop on your carpets to refresh and sanitize them. As a mom of a baby who will be crawling soon I can really appreciate that feature.
