It’s Potty Training Time! #CelebrateFirstFlush

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Pull-Ups. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

When it comes to potty training, I wouldn’t say I’m an expert by any means, but I have done it once before.  With my son (who is now 6) I was terrified of potty training.  Mainly because I didn’t know what I was doing or what to expect.  I learned a lot from my experience with him and I think my knowledge will be helpful once I start with my daughter.

Guess what?! I am a Pull-Ups First Flush Ambassador!  I will be sharing some posts as I embark on the journey of potty training with my daughter.

This time around I am starting potty training much earlier.  I think because she is a girl she is just ready sooner.  She is showing many signs of being interested (asking questions about the potty, requesting to go potty, etc…) even though she is still pretty young.  My son didn’t show any of these signs at a young age.  I think it might also be because she has an older brother and she wants to be just like him.

I have learned that there is really nothing to be afraid of when it comes to potty training.  There is nothing that can happen that can’t be cleaned up, LOL! I am actually excited to start potty training my daughter (and not just because I won’t have to change diapers anymore).  I am excited to see her become independent.  They are so proud of themselves when they master the potty and I love seeing their joy in their accomplishments.  I am excited to celebrate her first flush, it is an exciting milestone!

For potty training, I personally LOVE Pull-Ups and used them with my son.  I like that they are designed to be more like underwear (look and fit) so your child can feel like they are a “big kid” without a lot of mess for mom (yes please!).

Check out the great tools and resources available on the Pull-Ups website, Facebook page, and Twitter page.  You can get so many great things to help in your potty training process, like printable charts, calls from fun characters, celebration ideas, and more!
