“Jack and Jill is a comedy focusing on Jack Sadelstein (Adam Sandler), a successful advertising executive in Los Angeles with a beautiful wife and kids, who dreads one event each year: the Thanksgiving visit of his identical twin sister Jill (also Adam Sandler). Jill’s neediness and passive-aggressiveness is maddening to Jack, turning his normally tranquil life upside down.”
Adam Sandler movies and I have a love/hate relationship. Sometimes I really like them and sometimes I don’t. I was not sure how I was going to feel about his new movie, Jack and Jill.
There were a few moments in the movie that had me laughing. They were the moments that were so dumb that I couldn’t believe it was happening. At the beginning and the end of the movie, they have documentary style clips of real twins talking about what it is like being a twin. Some of the things that the twins said were absolutely hilarious. Johnny Depp also has a surprise cameo in this movie. That was one of my favorite parts. Although I wasn’t laughing much, the audience that I watched it with was sure laughing a lot.
If you are a huge Adam Sandler fan or need just a really, really silly movie to watch. This is a movie for you!
Jack and Jill opens today in theaters. It is rated PG for crude material including suggestive references, language, comic violence, and brief smoking. For more information you can go to the movie’s official website.
