NESTLÉ® Winter Favorites Holiday Recipes ~ How to Make Chocolate Peppermint Wafers

Check out my video below of my son and I making a fun and easy Chocolate Peppermint Wafers recipe for the holidays.

 

As you can see we had fun making them & they are really yummy!  I like that it is an easy recipe with minimal ingredients.

Chocolate Peppermint Wafers

ChocolatePeppermintWafers

Estimated Times:
Prep Time: 15 minutes, Cooking Time: 3 minutes, Cooling Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:
8 oz. NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Premier White Baking Bar (broken into small pieces)
1/3 cup (about 12) coarsely crushed hard peppermint candies
3/4 cup NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
1 tablespoon vegetable shortening

Directions:
LINE baking sheet with wax paper.
MICROWAVE broken baking bars in medium, uncovered, microwave-safe bowl on MEDIUM-HIGH (70%) power for 1 minute; STIR. If pieces retain some of their original shape, microwave at additional 10- to 15-second intervals, stirring until melted. Stir in candy.

SPREAD mixture to desired thickness on baking sheet. Refrigerate for 10 minutes or until firm.
Break into bite-size pieces.

MICROWAVE morsels and vegetable shortening in small, uncovered, microwave-safe bowl on HIGH (100%) power for 1 minute; STIR. Morsels may retain some of their original shape.

Microwave at additional 10- to 15-second intervals, stirring just until melted.
DIP candy pieces 3/4 of the way into melted chocolate; shake off excess. Place back on prepared baking sheet. Refrigerate for about 15 minutes or until firm. Store in airtight container at room temperature.
