If you fold it, they will build! That was the mantra of Paper Punk’s founder Grace Hawthorne as she melded an innovative building toy made of paper into a business providing beautiful open play. This month she promotes nine Paper Punk kits that require a few simple folds to create stunning 3D art. Kids, tweens and teens are encouraged to build a city block landscape called Urban Fold ($24.95) or transform paper into whimsical creatures named Bot, Pup, Horn and Kitty ($15.95).
Each Paper Punk kit is customizable, collectible and naturally recyclable! Everything needed to transform 2D paper into a stand-up 3D work of art (in the shape of a gorilla, snake, kitty, pup, robot or unicorn) is in the box. Better yet, there is no need for scissors or glue, hence no mess to clean up! Parents have taken to social media to gush about their smart purchase!
Look for these nine kits online at www.amazon.com, www.paperpunk.com and in specialty stores nationwide. Each kit comes with loads of decorative stickers, adhesive dots and a cool poster that lists easy-to-follow instructions. All kits are ideal for ages 6 and up.
We got the Urban Fold Kit and Ride to review. We had a play date scheduled and it started to rain outside. The kids were disappointed that they couldn’t play outside, that is until I pulled out the box I had gotten a day sooner that contained the Paper Punk Kit! The Urban Fold Kit was huge! There was enough for all six kids to get in on the building action.
The following eight Paper Punk kits are priced at an affordable $15.95. These make great good-report-card rewards or birthday party presents. Grandparents may want to stock up on these crafts that allow everyone in the house to get their hands busy. Choose from:
- Urban Fold
We Loved these fun projects the smaller kits are great for road trips or on a plane because they are light weight and can be easily packed too! I will be getting the kids more for sure!
