Huntsman Transport is one of the most trusted prisoner transport companies in the country. It is run by military-trained power couple Robyn Crisp and Joseph Crisp. As the Director of Administration, Robyn also juggles the roles of a mom and a stepmom, all the while running high-risk, high-performance operations, transferring some of the most dangerous people around the country.
Robyn met Joseph Crisp while in the Army. He later became her partner, both in life and business. Together, they have built a company that operates with military precision and a zero-fail mindset.
Robyn Crisp, The Wonder Woman: A Superhero Behind the Scenes
I mean, who can be a mom, a stepmom, and the Director of Administration of the nation’s best prisoner transport company all at once? Robyn Crisp… and she makes it look effortless.
Originally from the great cheese state of Wisconsin, Robyn earned her bachelor’s degree from UWEC while serving in the Wisconsin Army National Guard. In 2017, Robyn went on active duty and took on one of the Army’s most demanding combat roles as a Radar Operator. While at Advanced Individual Training (AIT) at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, she met the love of her life and future business partner, Joseph Crisp.
“From the moment I first met him (Joseph), I was captivated by his unshakable confidence, paired with his ridiculous humor. That man is a walking contradiction.” Robyn said while smiling. “I knew he was the one when I realized every dream I chased felt incomplete without him by my side.”
Joseph and Robyn later married in 2019 while both were serving in the military.
Stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado, together, Robyn quickly became the Section Chief and later advanced to Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC) of Administration. She oversaw the administration duties of over 270 Soldiers, earning herself several prestigious honors, including the Army Commendation Medal. While accomplishing all of this, Robyn gave birth to their son Ethan, and after serving 10 years in the military, Robyn took those skill sets to lay down the groundwork for Huntsman Transport. Today, as Director of Administration, she brings the same discipline and drive to the extradition industry that once guided her military service.
The Mission Behind the Mom
Balancing motherhood and helping manage a multi-million dollar company isn’t for the faint of heart. For Robyn, it’s a daily rhythm. Her role in Huntsman Transport demands the management and supervision of everything from compliance to scheduling. During our interview, she stated, “It is demanding but very rewarding.”
Being a mother, Robyn’s skills at home involve her managing emotional landscapes, school runs, moods, and entertainment, all while helping run a company that operates 24/7, 365 days a year.
“Is it hard sometimes? Yes, especially in the beginning, but we have great friends, family, and amazing employees who help Joseph and me every chance they get. My husband is a huge support, which allows me to be able to spend quality time with my son while still being able to do my part in the company. It also helps that I get to work from home for the most part,” she said while reminiscing about the early days of being away six days a week, transporting, since she was the only female agent with the company at the time.
When asked how you do what you do successfully, Robyn so eloquently stated, “Stay organized, always be present when you can, and stick to your values; staying focused on what matters the most.”
What Sets Huntsman Transport Apart
Huntsman Transport operates with military precision and a zero-fail policy. That culture comes from experience, more than 40 years of combined military service among the leadership team, and is kept alive through systems Robyn helped create and maintains. “Valuing our agents, and realizing that part of the success of the company is because of them. And remembering those who helped us along the way.”
Why Agencies Choose Huntsman
Veteran Expertise: Almost every agent is either a former military or law enforcement special teams member.
Nationwide Coverage: They operate 24/7 across the state and county lines and sometimes even outside the country.
Zero Fail Policy: Safety and security are non-negotiable. Their intense tactical training and adherence to federal and state laws make failure not an option.
Fleet Variety: SUVs, vans, sedan, and soon, an aircraft, ensure transport matches the mission.
Robyn plays a gigantic role in making all this work on the administrative side. She looks over the onboarding process for new recruits, maintaining compliance paperwork, and more. She also ensures that Huntsman’s high standards are met on every front.
How She Balances It All
So, how does she do it all? From our observations, it’s about routines, communication, and support.
Robyn’s military level balancing helps in:
- Daily Planning: Juggling school pick-ups and business meetings starts with a good calendar.
- Clear Boundaries: Work ends when family begins, unless there’s an emergency.
- Team Support: She’s not doing it alone. Joseph and Robyn are a power couple for a reason.
- Meaningful Work: Knowing her job helps veterans find a place to belong, while also serving communities across the country, which adds to the motivation.
“Our son gets to see a mom who works hard, respects others, and shows up every day. That’s the kind of wonder woman Robyn has become to our family.” Joseph said with pride in his voice.
Building a Business, Raising a Family
Establishing a global prisoner transport company takes military-level strategy and resilience. But it also requires trust, and what’s better than a family that has your back?
“Family members from both sides have shown such great and wonderful support throughout the years. I don’t think I could have stayed motivated if I didn’t have them cheering us on along the way,” Robyn stated.
Robyn and Joseph have turned their shared values into their profession’s mission. Robyn’s attention to detail and background in admin work proved essential in turning Huntsman into a reliable name in prisoner transport.
From making sure Joseph remembers to feed the morale dog Teddy Swollsevelt, to overseeing intense hiring protocols and training schedules of future agents, Robyn’s fingerprints are all over the company’s growth.
Robyn Crisp organizes a company that’s reshaping prisoner transport, and a family that’s growing stronger every day. Her story is about multitasking, purpose, responsibility, and building something meaningful on every front.
Robyn’s two full-time jobs could put Wonder Woman to shame.
Robyn Crisp carries two full-time worlds at once. At home, she guides a growing family with patience and presence. At Huntsman Transport, she holds together a company through accuracy, trust, and veteran-level discipline. Her fingerprints touch every process, every system, and every standard the company upholds. Her work supports veterans, law enforcement agencies, correctional facilities, and communities across the country. And she does it with steadiness and military-level skill.
