Superman has confrontations with many villians throughout the series of Smallville. I really enjoy watching the Rivalries play out. But my favorite rivalry of all is with Lex Luther.
I am sure anyone who knows about Superman has heard of Lex Luther. He is probably the most well known rival of Superman. But what I love about Smallville is how it goes into a lot detail about their relationship. I like seeing the history and depth behind their relationship. The episode that stands out to me is in Season 6. It is episode 1 "Zod". “Lex’s body is taken over by General Zod, a Kryptonian military leader, and he kidnaps Lana Lang. Clark Kent and Lex/Zod battle it out and Lex gains the upper hand. Clark is commanded to his knees and is told that if they join forces, he will spare the human lives which Clark cares about.” If you haven’t seen the episode already I highly suggest you watch it. I remember the first time I saw it I was glued to my tv and hanging on every word. I have really enjoyed watching their rivalry progress and I like the character of Lex Luther.
