The Biggest Milestones in Your Childs Life

This is a sponsored guest post.

Being a parent is not an easy task. It requires constant vigilance even as your children get older. Seeing them grow into teenagers and adults is bound to happen and being a part of their milestones is a beautiful thing.

We are referring to days that go beyond birthdays and holidays. Sometimes it’s the little things that take up the most room in our hearts! It’s also true that these smaller events are overlooked.

Here is a brief list of the biggest moments in your baby’s life that you want to be prepared for:

Their First Tooth

Baby teeth start coming in as early as 3 months. This is an exciting moment in the lives of parents even if it means occasionally getting bitten! It also means you’ll never see their gummy grin again. This is a small moment that means a lot and before you know it, they will have their full set of baby teeth (before 3 years old usually). Outgrowing the Crib

This is another bittersweet moment in your baby’s life. When they decide they don ‘t want the crib anymore it hurts! While there are several upsides to getting rid of this furniture like not having to bend over the rail to pick up your baby, it’s sad to think about that one day they’ll lay in that crib for the final time.

That First Haircut

Usually, parents don’t give much attention to haircuts for the first few years (more so for girls). Those natural, long locks are soft and beautiful, but eventually, they will require a cut. Parents are often too focused on their child’s reaction to realizing that the hair they were born in is laying on the ground. This is another heartwarming milestone in your child’s life.

School Years

That first day of school is always tough for parents. It’s a clear indication that their little one isn’t so little anymore. All the way from pre-school to their high school graduation, I don’t think moms and dads ever get used to them growing up so fast.

When They’re in a Wedding

If your little one is a flower girl or ring bearer, it is quite the site seeing them dolled up! It’s likely you’ll feel the waterworks taking effect. This is because they look super adorable but also because it’s a glimpse of the day your little baby will be walking up the aisle for real! Before you know it you’ll be looking through a selection of MadameBridal dresses for mothers!

Landing Their First Big Boy Job

As parents, we want the best for our children. This means going to good schools and hopefully pursuing a college degree one day. When we see their hard work pay off, we can’t help but feel proud of ourselves. And we should! We have been and guided them through their biggest life milestones.

When your “not so little” baby lands that job they’ve been working towards it’s a great feeling for the both of you! You can’t help but smile at their life accomplishments and deep down they will always be grateful for the help you offered through their formative years.

Final Thoughts

Children are bound to grow and one day they’ll no longer be those small, happy go lucky kids running around the house. The small and big milestones are worth celebrating and cherishing. The best piece of advice we can give new parents especially is to focus on the little things especially. These are the moments that will take up the most room in our hearts!
