The Priceless Moment I Became a Mother #Clearblue

I can still remember the exact moment I saw the positive on the pregnancy test. It was that time of month once again. My period hadn’t come (which wasn’t unusual for me) so I got out the Clearblue Pregnancy Test and decided to cross my fingers, wish on a star, anything to get a positive. I took the test and went and laid down. I figured it would be negative since all the many before had been. It had been two and a half years struggling to get pregnant. I had taken so many pregnancy tests and seen so many negatives. I planned for the worst, but secretly hoped for the best. I finally willed myself to go over and look at the test. There was the minus test line, I was used to seeing that. But there was a faint line making it a plus. I had to do a double take. Was that a positive?!

I had dreamed about this moment for years but had given up the hope that it would ever happen. I honestly didn’t believe it at first. Even my husband was like, ‘are you sure?’ Thinking back on it now I laugh, but we were both in shock that I was actually pregnant. Positive! POSITIVE! I was elated! I was finally a mother! I had waited so long. It was an incredible moment and one that I will never forget.

Later in my pregnancy I found out I was carrying a son. I had a healthy baby boy and he has changed and blessed my life more than I ever could have imagined. It is a love deeper than I had ever experienced. He is a light in my life. A sweet boy who is kind, strong, compassionate and makes me proud everyday. I am so blessed to be his mom.
