Brag Worthy Christmas ~ MikaRose Modest Women’s Dresses Review and $50 GC Giveaway [CLOSED]

While I was in there the lady came a couple of times asking if I needed anything. She also brought me a few more dresses to try on. She was really sweet.

They also have a great selection of modest womens tops and skirts. I also picked out the most comfy black skirt I have ever had! It is seriously so comfortable. It May Sound Crazy But…I Love Doing Laundry!

I continue to be amazed by how much my Whirlpool Duet Washer and Dryer Pair can do. It really has eliminated so much work for me. Like:

Before I had the pair I used to have to measure out my detergent for each load. The Duet washer has a precision dispense system. So I simply fill the cartridge reservoir with my detergent and the washer will ration out the detergent based on the load it is washing. The reservoir can hold up to 36 loads with each fill. It is amazing! I know now that I was using way to much and it was costing me as well as it wasn’t good for our laundry.
The Duet Dryer has steam! I love the steam. I usually forget to get the laundry out of the dryer right when it finishes and so my clothes end up wrinkled. Not a problem with the Duet Dryer I can set it on a refresh cycle with steam and it gets all the wrinkles out. This saves me SOOOO much time since I won’t have to iron the clothing.
The Washer also has uses steam and is so great for getting out stains. It has a Deep Clean Steam option which penetrates deep into fabrics to break down and dissolve stains and grease. Best of all I don’t have to pre-treat the stain first!
There are so many cycle options on the washer I can find the perfect setting for what I am washing. I especially love the hand wash cycle. It is so gentle and mimics washing in the sink. I have so much more time now that I don’t have to sit and wash all my delicates by hand.
We have the pedestals under our pair and it has been so nice! I no longer have to break my back when switching laundry from the washer to the dryer. The pedestals put the pair at such a great level. I really love it. And the fact that they are drawers is just icing on the cake. It really helps me to stay organized in my laundry room.
I also have the Whirlpool Laundry Worksurface and love it. It sits on top of the pair and provides a nice smooth and flat surface for folding, laying clothing flat to dry, or anything else you need it for. An added bonus to having this is that it protects the top of my pair. For whatever reason our pair seems to be a catch all for random objects (like my hubby’s tools) now that I have the worksurface it is protected from these items denting or scratching my pair.

The Whirlpool Duet Pair has so many wonderful features. I truly love doing laundry now. My clothes are cleaner and look better, I have more time and this pair really has made my life better!

Brag Worthy Christmas ~Lands End Fair Isle Button Gloves and Hat Review

I do not like winter! It is too cold! I am always looking for ways to stay warm. As a teacher, I spend a lot of time outside at recess. I am always looking for cute, good gloves to wear. I really like the Fair Isle button gloves and hat I received from Lands End.

What I like about this gloves is that they are longer and cover up my wrists. Normally when I get gloves, they just cover my hand. The fabric feels very nice. The only thing that I wish I could change is that I got the small size. I have really small hands and they are too big. I wish that had an extra small for people with tiny hands like me.

With my gloves, I also received a matching hat. I am loving this hat. It keeps my ears warm and fits well. I also have a hard time with snow hats making my head itch. This had does not do that. The fabric they used is really soft. I really liked that the hat matches my gloves, it makes me feel stylish.

Lands End does not only sell hats and gloves. They sell all sort of different winter apparel and winter accessories. They have a large section of coats, boots, and even scarfs.

Lands End is a great place to look for Christmas gifts. In most places, it is cold and snowy at Christmas. You always need gloves, hats, and coats to stay warm! Lands End has things for adults and for kids as well. Lands End has all your ‘staying warm’ needs!

Anytime Costumes ~ Kids Halloween Costumes Review and Giveaway [CLOSED]

I absolutely love Halloween! There is something about dressing up and going around to different parties and of course the Trick or Treating. I also love to see what other people and their kids are wearing. This year I let Leah pick out her own Kids Halloween costume and surprise she wanted to be a Princess of course!

I asked her several times which Princess she wanted to be and let her look at the costumes online at Anytime Costumes and she found the perfect one! She found the Belle costume and couldn’t wait to get it! She kept saying “Mommy I want to go to Halloween and be Belle, but we have to get it in the Mail.” Finally the day came and she immediately put it on with her Belle shoes and danced around!

I absolutely love that Anytime Costumes is a one stop shop for Kids Costumes and Adult Halloween Costumes. There are so many different costumes to choose from!

EliteDresses.com has such a great selection of special occasion dresses. It was hard for me to choose a favorite! I finally went with the White Off Shoulder Dress With A-Line Gathered Satin Skirt and I couldn’t be happier (my other favorite is the picture above). Yes. This dress looks like a wedding dress. It has a gathered/pick up A-line skirt and a white sash that ties in front with removable roses. I really, really love this dress. My daughters think it is pretty amazing too! I bought it for my older daughter, but it is great quality so I imagine my younger daughter will be able to wear it also once she gets bigger.

The prices at EliteDresses.com were shocking to me. I couldn’t believe how affordable they were. They had a variety of styles and colors to choose from so it wouldn’t be hard to find the perfect dress for you occasion. And some dress styles come in multiple colors which is so nice because how many times have you found a dress that you absolutely love, but the color isn’t right? I know it happens to me often!! Get Your Sew On ~ Ruffle Fabric Review and Giveaway [CLOSED]

I LOVE fabric!!! Much to the dismay of my husband, I can spend a long time in a really great fabric store. I can also spend a lot of time looking at fabric online. When I came across Ruffle Fabric, there was some serious swooning going on. I am getting excited just thinking about it!

I knew I needed some of that fabric! Lucky for me, Ruffle fabric was kind enough to send me 1 1/2 yards of two cute fabrics. I chose the Buttercup Yellow & White Striped Cascading Ruffle Fabric and the Bright Key Lime Green & White Striped Cascading Ruffle Fabric. I was so excited when they came in the mail and they certainly didn’t disappoint.

The fabrics are a combination of 74% Polyester, 25% Nylon, and 1% spandex. The colors are so bright and fun, and the fabric is slightly stretchy so it will be perfect for a skirt!! I can’t wait to make one for each of my girls. They will be so happy! I love that this fabric is pre-ruffled so it saves a lot of time for me. I know how to sew my own ruffles, but it takes a lot of time and patience so it’s great to have it already done for me (and it’s done much better too!)

Ruffle Fabric also has a lot of fabric that would be so cute for an adult skirt or dress. There are several colors to choose from and you can get the bigger ruffles or smaller ones. You really just need to head over to their website to see the amazing selection of some of the BEST fabric you will ever lay your eyes on!! I want it all!!

Organize Your Closet ~ Smarties Closet Hang 10 and SmartiePancer Review

My husband and I share a closet and it is certainly not big enough for the both of us! I take up more than half (which is ok because I am a woman), and he sometimes gets frustrated because all of his clothes are squished together into one small space Winking smile . He has a hard time finding anything because he can’t see his clothes. Anything to maximize our closet space gets an A+ in my book (and my husbands I am sure). This is a great way to help organize your closet. Since our closet rods are pretty full already, the Hang 10 on the door allows us some extra room. Being the nice wife that I am, I let my husband hang all of his dress pants & dress shirts on this hanger. It came with 5 pant hangers & 5 shirt hangers so it holds quite a bit. I love the Hang 10 on the door because it keeps my husbands nice clothes wrinkle free and easily accessible.

You can also get a Hang 10 on the Bar. This one is almost the same as the Hang 10 on the Door except it hangs on the closet rod. It also comes with 10 SmartiePancer Hangers and you get to choose the combination of all pant/skirt, all shirt, or half & half.

We were sent a pack of SmartiePancer hangers as well. They are hangers to hold pants or skirts. I love them because they are so easy to use. They only have one clip on one side. The other side has a little padded ‘finger’ that allows you to pull the pant tight and the tension on that side, along with the clip on the other side, holds the pant in place. It’s a little hard to explain. When I want to take the pants off the hanger, I simple open the clip and the pants fall right into my hands!! It so easy.

I’m Loving My New Whirlpool Duet Washer & Dryer!

As you can imagine I screamed with excitement when I heard I was going to receive a new Whirlpool Duet Washer & Dryer Set to test out and review. Yes I was literally screaming when I saw the email, LOL! Bug said “What is it Mama?!” and I said “We are getting a New Washer & Dryer Set!”.

I couldn’t wait for my new Washer & Dryer to arrive. I was counting down the days. When they finally arrived I was blown away by how gorgeous they look. I chose the Lunar Silver and the color is fabulous and looks great in our home. One of the first things I got really excited about were the pedestals. If you aren’t aware, the pedestals go under the washer & dryer making them much taller. Having them sitting taller means I barely have to bend over to put laundry in and take it out. I am loving this! No more aching back after hours of laundry!! It is truly a heaven send! And on top of it the pedestals have large drawers that pull out and are perfect for storing your laundry products.

Right away I was overwhelmed (in a good way) by how many wonderful features this pair has. I am just getting started with them but a feature that really stood out to me right away was the Precision dispense ultra feature. There is a cartridge that you fill with your detergent then the washer will decide how much detergent to use based on the load you are washing. It’s amazing! I know I tend to use to much, not on purpose but I do. I can’t even imagine how much money I waste by doing this…Now I don’t ever have to worry about using too much and wasting detergent. I don’t even have to think about it at all. The washer will even let me know when the detergent is running low so I can be sure to fill the cartridge again. This is wonderful!

Another feature I am enjoying is the My Cycle setting on the washer. You can create your own personalized cycle and it will store it for you. This is a great feature and I use it a lot. I also love all the available settings for washing. From normal and jeans to hand wash and bulky items. There is even a setting to wash the inside of your washer

Both the washer and dryer have Sanitize temperature settings to ensure your laundry will be 99.9% bacteria free. I really love this especially for when I am cleaning my dogs bedding. I love knowing that almost all the bacteria is being killed.

Another feature I am enjoying is on the dryer. It is the static reduce button. When it is on it will use a little water at the end of the drying cycle to reduce the static on your clothing. Isn’t that cool?!

As you can tell I am already loving my new washer and dryer and this is just the beginning! I can’t wait to share more fabulous features with you soon!

hello! SkinnyJeans Review and Giveaway [CLOSED]

Hello! is right!!!!! These skinny jeans are amazing.

“Does any of this sound familiar?

Your jeans are so low your previously non-existent stomach hangs over the waistband and when you sit down we are talking cleavage;
your back pockets are half-way down your thighs making your legs appear shorter than they already are and there is so much stuff on your pockets you can never wear the same pair twice because you and everyone else is sick of looking at them;
you look like you’re expecting a flood because your jeans are too short; maybe the designer looks good but for some reason his jeans make you look worse;
there is some weird-looking webby-thing inside your jeans that makes your butt look flatter;
your jeans are so full of holes they have to be dry cleaned;
you’re convinced that your jeans were designed to be worn exclusively by Kate Moss;
the ankles of your jeans are cut so narrow and ‘skinny’ that your thighs look gargantuan in comparison and your lower leg and foot look like a golf club;
the designs and signatures on your pockets point downward making your butt appear (gasp!!!) droopy;
your jeans ‘grow’ so much during the day that you have to wash them every time you wear them to get them back in shape;
your butt and the back of your thighs actually look bigger than they already are because there are large white areas accentuating them. Yikes!!”

I am a mom of three kids. I don’t have my high school body (that I still dream about) anymore. It’s getting a bit more difficult to find a great pair of jeans that will look flattering on me, because unfortunately, I do have some of the problems mentioned above. My main problems are finding a stylish jean that is not too ‘low-rising’, and are long enough to make my legs look nice & lean…there is not a whole lot of things worse than wearing a jean that makes me look short & stubby.

When I was sent a pair of hello! SkinnyJeans I immediately tried them on and I FELL in LOVE!! Seriously. You know the feeling. You put on a great piece of clothing and can’t stop looking in the mirror because admit it…..You look pretty good!

I got to choose which pair of slimming skinny jeans I wanted and of course I went with the NITEWASH. I always get dark because it definitely makes me look leaner. A great thing about these jeans is you get to choose your inseam. Everybody is NOT the same height, so in the ‘jean world’, an inseam option should come standard in my book!! I got a little carried away thinking “there is nothing worse than ‘Floods’” so I went with a length of 35 inches which was way too much. I do think the shorter option of 32 inches would have been a bit too short though. So being the handy-girl that I like to think I am, I took them up a little (without cutting the pant…..I learned a great trick). I love the stretch in the pants and the fact that they don’t get saggy after wearing them a couple of times! These shaping jeans also have a slight boot cut that fits perfectly over my high heels.

My hello! Skinny Jeans are seriously so flattering. I feel great in them. And every mom wants to feel like they look good right? I wish I had a pair in every color & style!

Vehicle Inspired T-Shirts for Kids and Toddlers ~ Shirts that Go Review

I was so excited when I found Shirts That Go! The have the most fun and adorable Vehicle inspired T-shirts for kids and toddlers that I have ever seen!

I had a hard time choosing my 2 favorite shirts to review. They have so many fun prints! I ended up choosing the Pirate Ship and Big Rig T-Shirts for Bug. When they arrived I fell in love! They are even better looking in person. The colors are great and the pictures look awesome! It is the cutest truck t-shirts for kids I have ever seen! The shirts are super soft and comfy. Bug immediately changed into the truck shirt when it came. He loves them both. I got size 6 for 3 and a half year old Bug (he is average size for his age) and they fit him great. Their shirts run small so be sure to order larger.
