My daughter absolutely loves Timmy time, she thinks he is hilarious! So we were excited when we heard that Timmy Time: Timmy Finds Treasure DVD was coming out. Leah thought this was super funny and loved the dvd! One of her favorite episodes was “Timmys Treasure Hunt” she loves Pirates and treasure and had so much fun watching this movie.

I have two VERY huge fans of Bob the Builder, so they were very excited for our new Bob the Builder: Here to Help DVD. Of course we had to pop it in right away, and they watched it the whole way through. If you have yet to introduce Bob and the gang to your kids, this DVD is a great way to start. All the episodes were great, my favorite was “Wendy’s Birthday Surprise”. My boys are 2 & 3 , and they are just at the perfect ages to enjoy all the trucks and machines busily working. They have asked to watch it time and time again. This DVD is very reasonably priced at $9.99, and would make a great addition to any DVD collection!

I LOVED My Little Pony when I was a little girl. I had so many my little ponys and have some great memories of them. So I was really excited to get My Little Pony on DVD. I have a couple of huge Nickelodeon fans at our house! My boys were extra excited about the Bubble Guppies, they are definitely their favorite on this DVD. I love that it is all about music and dancing- great DVD to throw in and get the boys moving around. This makes a great gift for anyone on your list!

4 year old Bug LOVES Chuck & Friends. He has some of the toy sets and enjoys playing with them. He has the books and has me read them to him often, and now he has a DVD with 10 fun filled episodes! He was jumping for joy when The Adventures of Chuck & Friends: Friends To The Finish DVD arrived at our house. He of course insisted on watching all 10 episodes right then All of the episodes were a big hit with him. His favorite character of course is Chuck the Dump Truck (which makes sense since he is the star and most of his toys are Chuck) I love how he says Chuck the Dump Truck, it is adorable It has been very cute to see him grab his play sets and play with them while watching the show. He also incorporated stories from the episodes into his play time. This is a must have for fans of Chuck & Friends or just fans of dump trucks. Your kids will LOVE this DVD.

Dr. Seuss’s The Lorax Deluxe Edition Available on Blu-ray & DVD Tomorrow

My girls love a good movie and anything from Dr. Seuss is very much appreciated. They wanted to watch The Lorax as soon as it arrived on our doorstep and they really enjoyed it.

Dr. Seuss’s The Lorax is the classic TV special that tells the tale of how an enterprising but greedy villain named the Once-ler, strips a forest of its lush Truffula trees, bringing them to near extinction for the sake of profit.

The story begins with the Once-ler, a faceless businessman who lives alone in a sad, gray wasteland. He recounts how he first became obsessed with the Truffula trees’ potential to make him rich and how the Lorax, an endearing and wise little forest creature, tried to warn him that his greed was making him crazy. It’s the Lorax’s job to “speak for the trees,” the wondrous Truffulas, that make up the beautiful forest in which various wildlife live, including Brown Bar-ba-loots, the Swamee-Swans, the Humming-Fish and the Lorax himself. The Once-ler, bewitched by the beauty of the Truffulas, greedily chops them down so he can mass produce versatile garments, called “Thneeds” out of the Truffula’s colorful tufts.

As the trees swiftly disappear, so do the Brown Bar-ba-loots, the Swamee-Swans and the Humming-Fish. The wise old Lorax continuously warns the Once-ler but his words of wisdom are for naught as the “Thneed” business booms and the Once-ler is blinded by greed. What will it take for the Once-ler to learn his lesson? Will the Truffula trees become extinct or is there hope for regeneration? “

I remember how much I loved watching Lady and the Tramp as a little girl. I was thrilled to hear of the release of Disney’s Lady and the Tramp on Blu-ray DVD and Digital Copy. I was excited to share this classic movie with little Bug. The Blu-ray has a wonderful picture quality and we also enjoyed watching the bonus features which include 3 deleted scenes among others. My favorite part of the movie is when the Siamese cats sing their song “We are Siamese if you please…We are Siamese if you don’t please…” This is a must have classic film that you will want to add to your family’s collection before it goes back into the Disney vault.

Get Your Kids to Eat Vegetables ~ Copy-Kids DVD Review and Giveaway [CLOSED]

As any parent knows getting your kids to eat vegetables can be a very hard thing. Even if they start out loving veggies, (like my little Bug as a baby would only eat veggie baby food and loved it) most likely once they are older they will start refusing them (like my Bug does now).

Bug started refusing his vegetables right around the age of 2. I was so sad because I know that establishing healthy eating habits for kids early is so important. I had tried a lot of different things to get him to eat his veggies, calling them different names, forcing, but nothing was working. I had honestly given up (I know it is hard to admit that). I just figured he wouldn’t eat them and there wasn’t anything I could do. Or so I thought…

He immediately smiled as he watched the kids eating carrots. Then I watched in amazement as he ate a bite of carrot just as the kids on the DVD did. Then he said “mmmmm” copying one of the children as she said it. He ate the whole bowl as he was watching and I almost fainted when I heard him say “Mom I want more carrots”. I couldn’t believe those words came out of my son’s mouth! He is now eating carrots, broccoli, & blueberries (which he would never eat before) thanks to the Copy-Kids DVD. We received the Treasure Buddies 2-Disc Blu-ray Combo Pack. This is another very cute story of the Buddies and this time with treasure. The buddies are pretty popular at our house, probably because we love dogs so much and these little guys are adorable ! Little Bug loves watching this new movie and it quickly became his most watched show. He loves the buddies and this adventure kept him glued to the TV. This is a must have for Buddies fans to add to their collection!

We were sent the Real Steel on Blu-ray & DVD Combo Pack. It is also available in a 3 disc set which includes a Digital Copy. We didn’t have the chance to see this movie in theaters so we were excited to sit down together as a family and watch it on Blu-ray. The whole family loved the movie, especially my boys, they thought the robots and fighting were awesome. My boys favorite bots Zeus because he is such an enormous robot and Twin Cities because he has 2 heads. We even enjoyed the bonus features my boys though the building the bots was cool and enjoyed seeing that. We all liked watching the bloopers they are really fun. This is a great family movie and a great addition to our movie collection.

My oldest son Harrison LOVES Barney. Something about that big purple dinosaur really gets to kids, huh? =) He was super excited to get our copy of Barney: I Love My Friends on DVD. I love for him to watch anything that involves him learning, and I know Barney is just that show. And those with an early childhood education degree recognize the confidence-building factor this show brings, with its abundance of personal positive reinforcement. They use numbers, letters, colors… but also they learn how to share and care for others. A good lesson for young children, who find it hard to get along with their peers sometimes. In our house we LOVE Dora the Explorer. My daughter knows all of the characters names and the songs. So I couldn’t wait to receive Dora The Explorer: Dora Loves Boots DVD. I think this is THE perfect DVD to give to Leah for Valentines Day. She loves Dora and Boots and all of the different adventures that they go on together.

I love the friendship that Dora and Boots share together in these episodes and others as well. You can tell that they really love each other!

Boots’ favorite boots are back from the Shoe Shop, but when he tries them on, he starts to bounce. Dora and Boots set off to find his favorite boots on a bouncy adventure past the Giant Gates, then across the Snail Bridge where their French friend Amélie teaches them how to play Escargot — a French Hop-Scotch game. They sing all the way to the Shoe Shop, but will Boots’ shoes be there?
¡Vacaciones!
Dora and Boots are meeting Diego and Baby Jaguar for a night of camping under the stars. Along the way, they run into other friends who are going on vacation too. At the Nutty Forest, Tico and Benny give them a ride on his nut-powered car. Then they help Isa water her vegetable garden before she heads out to the Snowy Mountain. Before they arrive at the Rainforest Campground, Swiper takes their snacks. Diego and Baby Jaguar come to the rescue in a canoe and together retrieve the snacks and row all the way to the Campground.
The Bed Red Chicken’s Magic Wand
The Big Red Chicken is doing magic tricks and he turns Boots into a chicken! When he tries to turn Boots back into a monkey, his beak starts to twitch and he lets out a big sneeze that sends the wand flying off into Magic Land. Big Red Chicken accidentally lands on his wand and breaks it! On the way to the Wand Shop they play a picture puzzle game to go through the Magic Mirrors, a math game to get the Giant Dice to disappear and then do a scarf trick to enter the Wand Shop.
