picnic1I have been wanting a great Picnic Tote for a few years now for traveling. We don’t take too many road trips or vacations, but when we do, I like to pack as much of our own food so we don’t have to spend so much money eating out. Now that we have the Picnic fun Tailgater Picnic Set on Wheels for 4, that is going to much easier to do.

I was so excited to choose something from Picnic Fun to review. I knew I wanted a Picnic Tote rather than a basket so that I could wedge it into the middle seat in our car (we like to have our food easily accessible while picnic2we are traveling Smile). I found a lot of different totes that I really loved but ultimately went with the Tailgater Picnic Set on Wheels for 4. It is black, insulated, and made out of sturdy material that will definitely last for years to come. I love that it has a telescopic handle that I can use to wheel into hotel rooms, picnic areas, and anywhere else we decide to go! It also comes with a detachable utensil carrier that includes everything we would need to have a complete meal on the go. I am excited to take this on our next road trip which is coming up very soon.

I am so excited for baby number two to arrive!  Since I found out I was pregnant I knew I needed to create an online baby registry but hadn’t done it.  Today I decided to register for my baby at Amazon.com and I am loving it!  I love how easy the registry is to use. My little brother is a fish.  He swims everyday and loves being in the water.  when I saw the Video Swim Mask on the Think Geek website I knew I had to get it for him.  He thought it was so awesome when I gave it to him.  He said he had never seen anything like it.  He used it in his swimming pool.  It was really fun watching him take pictures and video underwater and them putting ChristmasGift2011them on the computer and seeing how they turned out.  I love that it comes with the batteries needed to operate it.  He likes how easy it is to use.  The crosshairs help him to know what will be in the picture and the LED helps him to know which mode (still or video) he is in.  But the best part is this under water camera is completely hands free.  It’s so cool!  He loves it and I highly recommend it as a gift!

You Don’t Have to Wait Until Summer to Get Fabulous Beachwear

I have to admit I have fallen in love with a stroller.  Yes it is true.  While I thought it wasn’t possible to love a stroller so much I have now learned what true stroller love is ;)   Because I am now the proud owner of a Joovy Ultralight Caboose Stand-On Tandem Stroller.  I chose Brownie as my color and it is a great choice.  The brown and black look fabulous together and since I don’t know yet if I am expecting a boy or girl it is the perfect gender neutral color choice.

It was really easy to assemble, it took my hubby less than 10 minutes to set it up.  You just have to put the wheels on and the canopy and your all set.

I love how easy it is to open and close.  This is a must have for me and the foldedstrollers I use.  It really is effortless.  Another great feature is that it folds down pretty flat (especially compared to other tandem strollers) and easily fits in the truck of my car.  It is also really light for a double stroller weighing in at only 21 lbs.  This is nice because I can easily lift it in and out of the car by myself.

The front seat can be used as a regular stroller seat with 3 levels of recline.  It can be used from 6 months to 45 lbs.  Or you can use the included universal car seat adapter and put your infant car seat on the front seat.  So basically the front seat can can be used from birth up to 45 lbs.  My 4 year old can fit in the front seat well and the canopy is high enough that his head doesn’t touch.

Your older child can ride on the back either standing or sitting on the bench seat.  The bench seat pulls out when they are sitting on it, and pushes in to make room for them to stand on the platform.  It also has handles for your child to hold while they are standing. The back seat is suggested to be used from 2.5 years to 45 lbs.  It is perfect for your older child who likes to get in and out of the stroller often but still needs to hitch a ride.   Something to note is that when the front seat is fully reclined it is hard for your child to sit on the bench seat since they don’t have much room.  This isn’t a problem since I just have Bug stand when the front seat is reclined.IMAG1002

I love the canopy coverage.  It provides coverage for both the child in the front and the child in the back.  It also folds all the way down to completely cover the child in the front, I love this! 

I really like that the Ultralight comes with parent organizer so I have 2 cup holders and a zipper pocket to hold my cell phone, keys, etc…

  I am so excited to use this stroller once my new baby arrives.  It is the perfect stroller for someone with a baby and an older child who wants independence. It provides a nice smooth ride for your kids and it is really easy to maneuver.  And since it is a tandem you can fit through regular door ways and isles when your shopping at stores. I highly recommend this tandem double stroller!

I was excited to try out the new Sync Comfort Wrap Carrier.  Right off I love the pattern, it is so cute and stands out so much from plain carriers. I’ll be honest Baby wrap carriers intimidate me.  They seem like they are so complicated to use. Brag Worthy Christmas ~ A Must Have For Traveling With Kids ~ Joovy Foocot Child Cot Review

We have family that live far away, but are still close enough that we go visit them often.  When we go we sleep over and once Bug became to big for his playpen I had IMAG0980no idea what to do for a place for him to sleep.  We were lugging around a big twin sized air mattress for him to sleep on but it was such a hassle. I was really excited when I saw the Foocot Child Cot by Joovy on their website.  This is exactly what I need! 

So I got the blueberry color for my little Bug and couldn’t  wait for it to arrive (it came very quickly).  It came a few days before our trip to Grandma’s house, perfect timing.

I was immediately impressed by how small it is when folded up and it comes in a carrying bag with a strap for IMAG0979easy carrying.  It folds and unfolds SUPER EASILY similar to the way a camping chair folds and opens.

So the set up and take down is easy and fast, I love it!  I also love that it comes with a super soft fitted sheet.  It makes the cot a very comfy and cozy bed.

Another fun feature is that that this cot for kids has two storage pockets on the side.  Perfect for holding sippy cups, snacks, books, and anything else your child might want close by.pocket

“The Foocot supports a child up to 48 inches tall or 75 pounds.” I love that it is small enough to be convenient but still big enough for your child to get a lot of use out of it.  4 year old Bug looks small while on it (and he is an average sized child) so I know we will get years of use before he is too big for it.

Bug loves his new kids bed for traveling and loves that it is his own special size.  He slept really well in it the whole time we were at Grandma’s house. IMAG0976

A good baby carrier is a must have when you have more than one child.  Since you have to be helping the other children you will find yourself using your child carrier often so that baby is being held while you get things done.  I was recently sent the Nordic Baby Carrier from Lillebaby.  Right away I was impressed with this carrier, it has 6 different carrying positions you can use.  They are: infantcradle

I love taking photos.  If you could see my collection of photos of Bug alone you would understand that I am somewhat camera happy :)   But I just love capturing memories of my family.  I have a Canon camera but up until now I haven’t loved the lens I was using.  That was until I received the Tamron 18-270mm all-in-one zoom lens to review.

Right off I fell in love with the zoom range.  From 18 mm to 270 mm, that is a huge zoom range and I have been enjoying it so much.  Now I don’t have to run over to where Bug is playing to get the adorable shot, I can simply zoom in and snap a great photo.  And since it has such a wide zoom range I don’t have to switch lenses, I really love that it is all-in-one.

I have also really been enjoying the VC image stabilization as now I am not capturing a bunch of blurry action photos of my very active little Bug. Before I had this lens I had a problem with blurry pictures often, so I find this so refreshing to have a lens with the VC technology.

Wow this is a fun product!  The Boogie Board LCD Tablet is perfect for kids (or adults) who love to draw.  Bug enjoys drawing a lot.  So when he saw this new drawing board he thought it was pretty cool (and still does).  What’s great is it comes with a stylus that makes it so it’s like you are drawing with a pen or pencil.  Very cool.  Super easy to use, and with the press of a button it erases like magic!  I love that it saves so much paper, environmentally friendly is awesome!  But my favorite use for this is with Bug while we travel.  It is perfect for in the car, while running errands, at the doctors office, etc…it keeps him occupied and he really enjoys drawing on it.  It is the perfect size for putting in my purse as well making it really convenient to bring along.

Carrying baby can be tiring so having a baby carrier is a must.  I was recently sent the Britax Baby Carrier with CarryLong System and immediately fell in love with it.

I love the design, it looks really nice and it’s something I would proudly wear anywhere. 

I love how it distributes the weight on your shoulders back and hips.  I really noticed a difference in how I felt after an hour of carrying baby.  My back usually hurts when I use a carrier, but with this one it didn’t hurt during or afterwards. So Nice!

Another thing I love is that you can use it with baby facing you or with baby facing out.  And you can use it from 8 lbs. to 32 lbs. giving you years of use with baby anytime you need to carry her.

It is great that the waist band is adjustable making it usable for both mom & dad, or babysitter, or grandma, etc…I also love that it has belt storage bands so you don’t have loose straps hanging all over the place.

I was thrilled to learn that it is machine washable because as a busy mom I just don’t have the time to hassle with hand washing things.

Best of all I love how comfortable me and baby are when using this carrier.  It gives such a good fit for us both and I know baby is secure while in it.

The first thing that impressed me about the Leila Play yard from Maxi-Cosi is it’s sleek design.   It looks so good in my home!  Then I continued to be impressed with the great design and features.  I love that this is a play yard, baby bassinet and changing table all in one.  I love that having this one product can take the place of 3!  It saves space and money, which we all love.

I really like how the bassinet has mesh sides so you can view baby from any angle (pefect for when I’m laying in bed and can still see baby through the mesh.

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the storage shelves.  They are roomy and give me plenty of room to store all the essentials for baby: diapers, wipes, clothing, ointments, lotions, etc…Having those items close by is so convenient especially when baby is newborn.

The mobile it comes with is an added adorable bonus that baby is sure to love :) And of course the soothing sounds and vibrations are sure to make baby feel at ease in her new home :)   The nightlight is great for checking on baby in the middle of the night without having to turn on a bright light.  It is so convenient to have it all right there in one place.

This can be used from newborn until 30 lbs. (or when baby can pull herself out of the play yard), making it a great product that you will get a lot of use out of.

    As you already know, I’m a big fan of Joovy.  I was excited when my new Joovy Caboose Double Stroller arrived.  It was easy to assemble and what first stood out to me was how easy it is to fold and open.  And it folds flat.  I love love love how flat it folds.  For a double stroller it is so compact when folded.  I also love that it isn’t that much longer than a single stroller so it is easy to maneuver in Orangetree-Caboose-Frontsmaller spaces.  And at just 26 lbs. it is pretty light for a double stroller and I can easily get it in and out of my trunk without breaking my back.

    This stroller is made to accommodate two children.  The front seat can be used from newborn and up.  The universal car seat adapter makes it so you can use your infant car seat.  Once your baby is 6 months old they can start riding in the front seat and can continue until 45 lbs.  The front seat has a 5 point harness seat belt and a removable cup holder/snack tray for the child.  The seat also reclines a little (not a whole lot) so not completely ideal for naps in the stroller.  Well unless you have a child who will fall asleep anywhere, lucky you! :)

    A child ages 2+ can start using the back seat, and can continue until 45 lbs.  The back is made so your child can either sit on the bench seat (which also has Appletree-Caboose-Right-Backa seat belt) or if you push the bench seat back, your child can stand on the back.  It even has handles for them to hold as they sit or stand.  When the infant seat is on the front it does make it a little less comfortable for your child to sit (since the front seat has to be reclined) but Bug doesn’t seem to mind it to much and if he complains I just have him stand.caboose_gallery4

    This stroller is perfect for anyone who has two children, one slightly older and one younger.  With Bug being almost 4 this Stand on Tandem Stroller is perfect for him, he has almost graduated from riding in the stroller, but still complains at times when he has to walk.  The back seat gives him the independence to get in and out as he pleases, and he gets a ride when he wants one with the choice of sitting or standing.

    It has a pretty good sized storage basket underneath and I love that Bug can access it himself while he is sitting on the back seat.

    The only small downside I found is that it doesn’t have a parent cup holder or any small storage pockets.  But you can purchase the parent organizer that goes right on the handle and has cup holders and storage pockets for around $29.99.

    Have you ever been out and about and had a baby fall asleep in the stroller only to wake up after about 10 mins because they aren’t wrapped?
