Grudge Match Film Review~ Opens on Christmas Day

“Robert De Niro and Sylvester Stallone star as old boxing rivals who come out of retirement for one final match. On their first encounter in decades, their long-festering feud erupts into an unintentionally hilarious melee that instantly goes viral. The sudden social media frenzy transforms their local grudge match into a must-see HBO event. Now, if they can just survive the training, they may actually live to fight again. “– (C) Warner Bros.

Grudge Match is the movie you have been waiting for if you want to see Robert De Niro and Sylvester Stallone fight it out.  I was excited to see this two men who have been in some of the greatest boxing films fight each other.

Overall, the best part of this movie was watching the two character fight each other at the end.  This movie has some great boxing scenes.  You could also tell that they cast was having a fun time with the material.

This movie was not as funny as I thought it was going to be.  It was not my kind of humor.  There was a lot of raunchy humor.  There were a lot of people laughing in the theater though.  The audience I was with definitely enjoyed it more than me.

If you are looking for an adult sports comedy for the holiday season, Grudge Match may be something worth looking into.

Grudge Match is rated PG-13.  It opens in theaters on Christmas Day.  For more information about the movie, you can go to the movie’s official website.
