{Brag Worthy Christmas} Nescafe Dolce Gusto Genio Coffee Machine Review

I was so excited to try out this single serve coffee machine. “It’s good to know that no matter how small your kitchen is, great, gourmet coffee drinks can be yours! Our smart, technologically advanced, and super small Genio™can make you a custom Caramel Latte Macchiato or anything else you can dream up with just the push of a button.”

I’ve always wanted an espresso coffee machine because we love coffee at our house and being able to brew just one cup at a time without wasting coffee is great. Better than that, this machine makes specialty drinks. Yum! Another great benefit of this machine is that is saves us a lot of money. If I stop at the coffee shop I’m looking at $3-$6 depending on what I get. But when I brew at home I can make the same drinks for only 59 cents – $1.50.

After taking it out of the box I liked how small it is. It doesn’t take up a lot of counter space which is really nice.

It is a very simple machine to use. There is a water tank on the back, you just pull up on it to remove, fill it to the max fill line, and slide it back down into place.

When it’s your first time, you will need to flush the machine by running the water through it. The manual explains how to do this. Once it’s been flushed you are ready to start making delicious beverages.

The Dolce Gusto uses capsules to create the delicious beverages, many require 2 capsules for one drink.

To make a beverage you start by turning on the machine (power button on the side) and wait until the light turns from red to green. Then you flip up the silver handle and remove the capsule holder.

Place the coffee capsule into it.

Slide it back into the machine and push the silver handle back down.

You use the scroll wheel to go to the level (lit up in green) that is required for the capsule you are using. Then you press either the hot button or the cold button depending on the beverage you are making. It will then start brewing your beverage. It is a little noisy, but not too bad. (Sounds a lot like an air pump.)

Another cool feature is that the tray is moveable, so you can adjust it depending on the size of your beverage.

Also, the machine will shut off automatically after 5 minutes of not being used. This is nice since I always forgot to turn the machine off.

I was sent 4 boxes of capsules to make yummy beverages. They were: Caramel Latte Macchiato, Chococino, Chai Tea Latte, and Skinny Latte Macchiato

My husband and I love the Caramel Latte Macchiato! So good! Just the smell alone while it is brewing is my favorite! I love sitting and sipping it as I work on the computer, I feel so spoiled! A great way to start my morning (or in the afternoon as a pick me up).

My son was very excited that he could make Hot Chocolate in this machine using the Chococino capsules. He loves it and I do too! It makes a really yummy cup of Hot Chocolate! Perfect for drinking after a long day of sledding and snowman making.

Chai Tea Latte is really good as well. It has a spicey flavor that is perfect for Christmas time. Drinking it while relaxing in front of the fire with a good book, perfection!

The Skinny Latte Macchiato is great if you are looking for a lighter coffee, you can still enjoy a delicious flavor without the guilt.

So far, I am impressed with all of the flavors I have tried. I have ordered some Espresso and Coffee Capsules to try out. I can’t wait to taste them as well once they arrive.
