Snow White and the Huntsman Review ~ Opens in Theaters Today

“In the epic action-adventure Snow White and the Huntsman, Kristen Stewart (Twilight) plays the only person in the land fairer than the evil queen (Oscar® winner Charlize Theron) out to destroy her.  But what the wicked ruler never imagined is that the young woman threatening her reign has been training in the art of war with a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth, Thor) dispatched to kill her.  Sam Claflin (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) joins the cast as the prince long enchanted by Snow White’s beauty and power.”

“The breathtaking new vision of the legendary tale is from Joe Roth, the producer of Alice in Wonderland, producer Sam Mercer (The Sixth Sense) and acclaimed commercial director and state-of-the-art visualist Rupert Sanders.”

Since I am super pregnant and uncomfortable right now my hubby went to the early screener of this movie.  Here is what he had to say: “This is not your Disney Snow White and one that dad will definitely enjoy.  It has plenty of action and a princess that is not afraid to stand up and fight.  I would call it a Snow White meets Brave Heart for the kind of movie it is.  There are scenes with violence and blood, and the queen is evil and dark so it is not really appropriate for younger children.  If you are looking for an action packed and entertaining movie for this weekend I recommend Snow White and the Huntsman.” He also took my brother in law with him and they both loved the movie and highly recommend it.  I myself can’t wait to see this movie once I am feeling better Smile It sounds like the perfect movie to go with your hubby on a date night!
