The Fault In Our Stars Film Review~ See It Now In Theaters!

113074_gal[1]

“Hazel and Gus are two extraordinary teenagers who share an acerbic wit, a disdain for the conventional, and a love that sweeps them – and us – on an unforgettable journey. Their relationship is all the more miraculous, given that they met and fell in love at a cancer support group. THE FAULT IN OUR STARS, based upon the number-one bestselling novel by John Green, explores the funny, thrilling and tragic business of being alive and in love.” (C) Fox

I have not read the book, The Fault In Our Stars.  I did this on purpose so I would not pick apart the film.  I absolutely LOVED this movie. I liked many things about the movie.  I loved how witty the dialogue was.  It was so appropriate for the subject matter of the film.  There were so many good quotes in the movie.  I have been reading the book now since I have watched the film.  A lot of this is because of how great John Green’s book is.  They have put many of the memorable lines from the book into the film.113402_gal[1]

The acting in this movie was fantastic.  Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort were perfect as Hazel and Gus.  They had perfect chemistry together.  They both were able to take such hard and sad subject material and make it meaningful.  It is hard to watch movies about kids with terminal illness.  These two actors made me emotionally connect to the characters on screen.  These two amazing actors are a big reason why this movie is so great.

My only warning about this movie, take a lot of tissues.  I cried pretty much the whole last half of the film and used about 5 tissues. This movie would be appropriate for older teenagers to see.  They are the attended audience.  There is some mature subject material but it is handled very appropriately and tastefully.

I loved The Fault In Our Stars.  I thought it was pretty amazing.  I will be seeing it again and definitely will be buying it when it comes out on Blu-ray.  Go see this movie!
